  1. Why don't they give us dual wield pistols since we are turning this into a wish list thread. Ahh a dual wielding Astute/Nefarious Inquisitor.
  2. Bad form on your Xbox corrupting the file. You should give it a stern talking to. It sounds like an inquisitor remake is in order. Try something different, go two handed sword. Specialize in Nefarious Netherworld / Astute Supremacy. Why do I feel like I am channeling Elric Melnibone right now?
  3. This is one of the reasons I went hardcore. I never have to calculate lost stats ever again. ALL OR NOTHING BABY WHOOOOOO
  4. You should at least take it to mastery (75) so you can see the bonus to find items. This skill I keep about 0.5 to 0.75 of my level and I have great returns on loot. Barrels/chests/hidding spots really start to put out (finding a Set Item in a box is ohh so nice). I have used it on my TG Utility character and enjoy the treasure hunts with him. You can augment your EP level with Relics, and +skills so 200 hard points are exactly needed. But then again you might get addicted to all the free gear dropping from the sky.
  5. 1. Undead legion is a great one. A lot of running around can get old after a while though. 2. Something about the Pesky Pirates chain I like. Maybe its all the ARRRS! 3. I forget the name, but in the human lands there is one where you go get a guys glasses in the sewers and you find a giant mouse trap with a huge wheel of cheese on it nearby. Only there for our amusement.
  6. David Gray: White Ladder. My ears needed a break from the aggressive.
  7. So I have been looking over ancient magic and I think I understand it, but I would like someone to explain how to know if your CA damage is weapon based or not. I know that Spectral Hand is for example, but is there a list somewhere that details the Combat Arts and the damage they pull from or produce?
  8. Never liked Rap Metal, unless you count Rage Against The Machine. I don't think they combine well at all Angantyr - Haeven Black metal an Cellos, what's not to like? ~Doom Usually I agree, but Judgement Night does a fairly even job. Booya Tribe and Faith No More mesh well. BTW I'm onto Jay-Z cuz I got 99 problems right now.
  9. You might want to look into lore for your CA or ancient magic. It all depends on your play style but they may give you a little extra punch on your choice of Combat Arts. Not totally in line with your tank focus I know.
  10. A little off topic but if you are going to use Grim Resilience buff for your SW you may rethink using Spell Resistance since you get a will power boost with that CA. Combat Discipline and Constitution are both good choices and help out in the higher levels when every hit counts and HP regen/sec can mean the difference between a heart racing win and yet another HC death.
  11. Running a grind listening to the Judgement Night sound track. Yeah I know it's old, but the Metal/Rap mix makes me want to wreak stuff.
  12. So I have been focusing on my shopper Inquisitor and have found myself in a dilemma. I spend way too much time shopping for better and better items. I will spend an hour at a time jumping through portals looking and peeking into every vendor I can find. My other characters are now working to feed my addiction for the next + to all skills amie or flaming bardiche of emulsificated death. My runs now happen twice or maybe three times during a play session. I usually log in, do a shop run, log in with another character, play for a while, log out, shop for a bit, and then do the whole thing over again. My EP TG is working overtime searching through barrels and boxes, fighting scarabs and collecting mob deaths just to get the loot needed to be sold so my Inquisitor can go back to Thylisium and pick up a new tunic with one extra socket or *gasp* a lightsaber in a new color. It is also inevitable that I will get buyers remorse. As soon as I settle on a new axe and pony up the 450K for the shiny new death bringer I inevitably run into a shinier more lethal model just down the road. Is this an ARPG or a shopping game? I sometimes wonder where my priorities lie. There are orcs to be slain and undead to be put to rest. I hardly use my Maelstrom/Levin combo anymore (works great on mobs BTW). I think an intervention is in order. I need to get back to basics and find myself in battle and not at the checkout counter. I will go back into battle, just after we pick up a new energy pistol that shoots out fire breathing flying monkeys. I know its out there somewhere.
  13. I think BAE Systems Land and Armaments could help you out, though it will probably cost. Or you could just try the guides section of this site. Shadow Warrior and Seraphim are good tank characters.
  14. Just to clarify...Speed Lore does not increase attack speed, it increases attack and defense rating and run speed...another reason to take Hafted sooner, as it will increase attack speed Right, sorry if that was unclear. I was just saying that because the 2H hafted weapons were a little slower you want to make the swings you have count as much as possible.
  15. You have a solid base going here. I would change the lineup just a little bit. If you are going to be using 2H hafted weapons you might want to think about speed lore since they have a habit of being on the slow side. Concentration should be taken earlier in the line up due to the extra buff. Another aspect of concentration rarely talked about is the reduction in recharge time that you get. After a few points and a couple +to all skills those seconds start to add up. I would take Hafted lore sooner as well because you are staying so specialized you will want to the bonuses and unlocked attributes as soon as possible. Combat reflexes may be something you might want to look into as well if you are sticking with a pure melee character. You might want to switch it out with toughness since you are going to be using constitution. This is just my two cents worth. My opinion and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. The coffee with come in handy when you are up into the wee hours of the night sending orcs sailing through the air with you 250lb maul. Happy hunting
  16. The reason you are getting the phrase "I need better protection from physical damage" is two fold. One the game is letting you know you are taking damage and the second is the damage type (not magic, fire, etc). You can take a look at your damage type in your character screen to see what type of damage you are defending against. I have received that notice when getting pounced on by 10-15 kobolds all doing about 1 hp each hit. Nothing major for 3K in HP, but the game saw fit to clue me into the fact that I was getting hit. I have also had my HP cut in half with one blow and my toon stay silent. He may have been in shock Stars on your armor is a good indicator of the quality of the item you are looking at, but its not the be all end all of if the item is good. If you have a level 5 2star armor with 25 points of protection and a level 20 1star armor with 150 points of protection, the level 20 is going to shine. You can and should look at the stars and the stats to get an over all idea of what you are protecting yourself with. Another thing to consider is the total armor you have. You may be taking hits in an under defended area like the arms, legs, shoes, head, etc. It is a lot to look at I know, but managing your toon is part of the fun of this game. Your armor lore helps you to equip higher level armor without getting a penalty (regen and speed), it also allows you to unlock specific bonuses on armor that is there but not available without the armor lore skill. There are many bonuses associated with different skills. When you look at the stats on an item and see a bonus in red, that means you have not unlocked that bonus because you do not have that skill as of yet. It will tell you to the right of the bonus what skill it is associated with. I hope this has helped
  17. The riding bonus only applies to the horses at this time. The special mounts level seems to increase as I have increased in levels, though I tend to not pay much attention to it other than mode of transportation. I try not to micromanage my toons, I think it stifles their creativity.
  18. The best way I can explain it is like this: Battle extension gives you the added "whip" arm that is always present while battle extension is selected as your CA. This is if you execute the CA or not, so when you are using your regular attack it just has an extra animation of the extension hitting with the arm it is mounted to (your gun has been replaced with a hand). You execute battle extension like any other CA (right click for PC, no idea for console.) That is when you get the actual effect of the battle extension. You loose the extra arm when you cue up different CA. I like battle extension when I feel like getting up close and personal with my prey.
  19. So I have decided to move into the illustrious world of HC. I scratched my old safe SW and started out in the world of no resurrections (ironic I know). I powered my way to Thylisium in about an hour and a half and noticed something weird. After doing some core quests and a few bosses I had 7 count them 7 circle of life rings and 3 sparkles. I don’t mind the sparkles so much, but the circle of life is ehhhh at best. The only good I seem to see in them is the sell price isn’t horrible around 1k each. So if anyone wants those POS circles let me know. I kept 4 of them for some odd reason. Any thoughts? Let the bludgeoning of my ignorance commence!
