I guess they are trying to restrict who knows the new codes (which I didn't even know about). Been a lot of theft lately. Anything with copper in it has been routinely stolen. Unfortunately it usually means all the grounding. They're at least smart enough not to cut into all the coax/heliax/waveguide (that would generate alarms at many places for lost comms). But being the tallest thing in town isn't good during lightning storms without proper grounding. But you would think my company would have been on the approved list...or at least been given notice that we need to be on it. Sure it would mean going through some thoroughly useless course on security. But, hey, we only take care of most of your tower sites...so no biggie

Yeah it has been about a month...noticed right away though held off posting for a few weeks to see if was a temporary thing or maybe something on my end. It seems like only a few of us are experiencing difficulties though. I would hate to see you guys incur more costs on my behalf. I can deal with the slow load times. But if you decide to go with another option that may be more expensive...let me know. I haven't made a donation this year and have no probs helping you two out with costs.

Been impatiently waiting for this forever it seems. Love the series, so far been able to watch the 1st couple episodes. Love her dark humor and anti-social tendencies. Think I'm in love with her character, though I would be too scared to talk to her if I was ever in that universe...My humor can be very dry/obscure and sometimes can be taken the wrong way and I know at some point I would piff her off and I never want to be near her when she is angry, especially if I was the cause

Well we're getting our 3rd Nor'easter within 10 days on Monday/Tuesday...they haven't issued any forecast for snow amounts or winds yet. The last storm (Thursday) toppled a lot of trees and there were hundreds of power outages but amazingly we had only one call for no comms. That one kind of ticked me off. The state police called us and said one their sites was down, so I go all the way up there and all the door codes I have don't work. So I call them up and was told I do not have clearance to know the code because I am not on their 'Access List'. So I had to wait for a 'properly cleared' person to come up and open door. He wasn't too happy about being called in on his off-time so he immediately gave me the code and also said it'll work for any state police site

Thanks DB...was using one at bottom of forum page...forgot about that one. And Chrome is now just as slow. But only for Darkmatters....I visit quite a few other sites very frequently and not having any issues with any of them..even ones that have numerous pics/vids on main page

I tried clearing cache and it was marginally quicker but still taking 10-15 seconds to open any thread. So I decided to try Chrome and it is much much quicker...only taking a couple seconds to load. I did notice one oddity. On Firefox my default theme is the map of Ancaria, while on Chrome it's the Xmas Seraphim. Both are labeled Sacred 4.2 (Default) with no other selections available, other than the default one that came with forum software. Didn't we have 3-4 to pick from before? I don't see Flix's Diablo theme on either browser, nor the High Elf one any more. I would rather use Firefox as I'm used to it's layout and it does everything I need but I'll switch if I can't figure out why Firefox is so slow, but Chrome isn't working perfect either. Still have a couple second delay on any action. Just tried to backspace a bit to clear spelling errors and I get a 1-2 second delay so I end up either pressing backspace a couple times and waiting for it to catch up or hold down and delete way more than I intended. And not having any of these issues any where else (though most of my posting lately has been here so not sure how texting is behaving on other sites)

Lately it has taken 20-30 seconds to visit web page and to open/leave threads. Occasionally I'll time out. Using Firefox but haven't seen this issue with any other websites I visit regularly. The slow load times also occur when looking at wiki. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it something on my end?

Good thing you mentioned this after the fact...or else I would have found some way to make Altered Carbon a reality and taken your sleeve Here? Oh just another Nor'easter with 60 mph winds and 12-18 inches of snow...ho hum lol Last one just left area Monday....would be nice to at least have 7-10 days in between....just please no more tower damage from this one...pretty please

Oh I don't have an issue with nudity...just if I had young kids, this would be one of those "I'll watch it when they're asleep" series. I did love the AI hotel...really hope it isn't permanently gone if they have season 2...really enjoyed the concept and the actor who played it. I didn't mind the lead actor though he could have shown a wee bit more range in emotion....it was all gloom and doom with him...though if I was brought back to life after 250 years I might be a bit grumpy too. Also wish they had gone more in depth on why they just had to have an Envoy for this task. I know he had a lot of flashbacks explaining his prior life but not really why his training was so special/needed.

Still windy here and 5th day in a row with at least 40 mph winds....Weekend was .......exhausting...simply exhausting...my boss and I were running all over the place assessing damage, trying to fix or at least hook up some temporary services for police/fire/public works etc....I have probably put 1000 miles on my van in the last several days and worked 18-20 hours every day since Thursday...I am soooooo tired lol...And my truck looks like a war zone...will take 2-3 hours just to clean/organize On top of that we have a 13 site trunking system that covers all of southeastern New England...On Saturday 9 of the 13 sites failed...down to 3 as of today....2 are working but just need internet restored so I can get them back into the system....the last one...well...that might take a while...trying to rent a generator but no luck so far....the generator there blew up...yes, blew up... The power lines leading up to it shorted out and sent a surge down to the generator which wiped out all the controls...somehow the gas tank was punctured/ruptured and it caught on fire and exploded...least that is what we think..no pics yet as my boss went to that site. He said all the poles leading up to tower are down (got to be 10-12 poles) and all transformers are on ground detached from poles....huge mess...luckily it's only a 'fill-in' site so no major interruption in coverage....just some portables may not work well....hopefully we can get it cleared and at least get a generator up there....it's also the main tower for that town's police/fire Probably ordering about 20 new antennas...one place needs a new tower at their office (small 75 footer) as theirs folded in half...and about half a mile of big fat coax for all the jobs...easily 3-4 weeks worth of work...And if that wasn't bad enough...forecast for another Nor'easter Wednesday/Thursday and maybe one around Sunday/Monday. I sooooo can't wait for Summer (well Spring really), and if Summer decides to throe a hurricane or 2 our way I think I will cry...loudly and painfully...and in full view of the public...I think I'll have a nervous breakdown lol Wonder if I can get the boss really drunk and talk him into giving me the month of July off? Heck worth a shot

I know the base game went over 1 million in sales and I guess the first expansion has been selling well too because.... They just announced a 2nd expansion for GD called Forgotten Gods due out sometime later this year You can read thread here Also they are working on a port to Xbox One....which sounds like it might be done within a month or 2

Binge watched this last weekend...really good series...I hope they come back for a season 2. Just as a warning...this is NOT suitable for kids (quite a bit of nudity)

I know if you peruse this thread, you'll surely find that I stated several times that Winter is my favorite season...well, used to be...it has now been relegated to 3rd place behind Spring and Autumn. My love affair with winter started to fade during the end of December/beginning of January. We had 3 weeks straight of sub-freezing weather. It never once even got close to 32°F. And that is very unusual for my area. Oh, we get cold snaps but typically they last only 2-3 days. On top of that we had a nasty storm right after (luckily it was rain) which included a 3 foot storm surge that flooded my road and half my yard. Thankfully it didn't reach my basement but overnight it all froze, freezing my truck to my driveway. Had to wait a couple days for the water to thaw and recede in order to move my truck. That same storm caused havoc at tower sites. Off Cape they got all snow, 12-24 inches and the wind ripped several antennas and/or coaxes down. Tower sites are usually on top of the highest point in town and most roads are a simple dirt road. Several times we had to get a snow mobile with a sled as the roads were un-plowed and there was no other way to get up to the top. Those were not fun days. After that we got a break and had no significant weather until this weekend. Again mostly rain for my area but winds have been ridiculous. 24 hours + of minimum 40-60mph winds and have had gusts over 90 mph. Highest I've seen is 94mph (151kph) in my town. There are trees and power poles down all over the place. It usually takes me 10 minutes to get to/from work but last night took me 90 minutes. So many roads were closed, either to fallen poles/trees or were flooded. We also got about 5 inches of rain and coastal flooding was been a major issue. Somehow I haven't lost power yet (fingers crossed). I was working at at a fire station for most of the day Friday and their phone never stopped ringing. Someone decided to go out on a boardwalk that extends into a marshland (which in turn empties out into the ocean). A person called to say they saw the person on the boardwalk...looked away for a moment and then couldn't see the person any more. Poor guys were out there in survival suits trying to find him/her for several hours. No idea if they found the person and/or anyone actually fell. Right now it's still very windy and supposed to stay that way til at least tomorrow. Least my yard didn't flood this time but I am soooooooooo done with Winter right now. Oh and to top everything off my daughter and I have got a very nasty cold/flu we've been dealing with for almost a week....yup done with winter

Oh yes, yes they do...you can either go with a cable or with an adapter box. Amazon has many to choose from. I don't mind Black Fridays as much as I used to. My daughter's birthday is on Nov 30th and I always had some last minute shopping to do. The aggravation is mostly from lack of parking, because I refuse to camp out for several hours before the stores open to find a spot. But now that my local mall has reserved parking spots for veterans, I went and got a 'Veterans license plate'. And I think only one time all the spots were filled when I went there. I was told I could qualify for a handicapped plate with my back issues I have, but if I can climb up to the top of water tanks, I think I can handle walking into the mall from any parking spot so I have never got one.
