  1. Extra damage from armor is cool... I like it. Although, I suppose you could just socket the effect in just as easily...
  2. Everybody likes to show off their progress with their characters in a game like this, yes:) I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we console users can put up some details on our characters, to show what type of build we're working on and such. I'll start with mine... not that you have to be this in-depth if you don't want to, but here goes... High Elf, Level 20 General: Deity: Testa Difficult: Silver Gold: 234, 296 Campaign: Shadow 32.7% complete Total time Played: 6h 25min Map Revealed 7.4% Died: 0 Survival Bonus: 41.8% Solved Quests:19 Experience: 505,661 Hit Points: 1,091 HP Regeneration: 24.2/s Attributes: Strength: 58 Stamina: 101 Vitality: 71 Dexterity: 66 Intelligence: 117 Willpower: 85 Combat Values: Attack: 70 Defense: 118 Magic Attack: 140 Magic Defense: 85 Attack Speed: 100.0% Movement Speed: 104.7% Damage: 63 - 96 (I have yet to actually use my weapons to attack haha) Armor: 219 Physical: 96 Magic: 20 Fire: 59 Poison: 0 Ice: 44 Notable Bonuses: Chance to Halve Regeneration Time: +100.5% Chance for Critical hits: +2.2% Stamina: +3 Willpower: +2 + to a bunch of individual skills... not going to list them all... Enhanced Perception +6 Visibility Range +21.3% Spell Intensity +19.7% Max Hitpoints: +45 Experience Per Kill +24.3% Regen Time Arrant Pyromancer: -45.6% Skills: Armor Lore: 5 Concentration: 1 Arrant Pyromancer Lore: 17 Arrant Pyromancer Focus: 6 Constitution: 20 Shield Lore: 1 Combat Arts: Ancestral Fireball: Level 1 Blazing Tempest: Level 2 - Modded for increased damage and lower regen time Incendiary Shower: Level 1 Incandescent Skin: Level 1 - Modded for increased chance to burn, and 2x decrease in regen time for Pyromancy aspect Grand Invigoration: Level 1 Items: I am currently using all rare items, with gold sockets when available. All of my items are socketed with +% chance to halve regen times. I used a HE shopper to get these items at low level (level 4 I believe), and have yet to find anything that really replaces these items... I lucked out and found a sword and a shield with 2 gold sockets, so I was pretty happy about that. Whew! So that's my character in a nutshell... what I wouldn't do for screenshot capabilities on my 360 haha. So does anybody else want to share their characters on here:)
  3. Ouch. Is it at least decent armor:) Socketed so you can throw fun stuff into it:) How can you tell which items use Dex or Str for damage:) I know I could probably just check the wiki, but I was wondering if there's a way of telling in game (on the console, specifically...)
  4. Didn't know where else to post this, so I figured I'd put it in this forum. One of my other favorite hobbies (aside from video games) would be playing Magic: The Gathering. I've been playing Magic since back in 1997 and really enjoy it. I was interested to see if there is anybody else here that also plays the game... If you do, what are your favorite colors and individual cards?
  5. My first character was a Seraphim. Played her through to gold and then dabbled with the other characters before settling on a High Elf. Will probably try a Shadow Warrior next, as I liked what I played...
  6. Yeah they get up a few too many times, if you ask me... haha. Still, they give yo some decent XP. And they should drop several items, as well. More loot is your friend.
  7. I would be careful about burning through your health potions, if I were you. I had somewhere around 250+ health potions when I decided to go through the tail end of the campaign... had to teleport out near the end boss because I ran out of health potions. Burned through my entire stock during that last fight. haha. So hold on to them, if you can. If you're just at the point where you're entering the Naval Port, then you've still got a fair ways to go for the quest... and that port wasn't too bad really. Lots of narrow corridors down there, but that's ideal for a tank/melee setup anyways (since you're setup to absorb damage to the chin and all that.... right:) ).
  8. Hm... okay. So what's your plan for the Undead Legion Boss...? I haven't actually got around to fighting him yet. I;m in the middle of the quest with my level 36 Seraphim.
  9. I would probably use the staff on a HE. Inquisitor's can dual wield which makes taking a two handed weapon pretty much a waste, as you loose out on up to 3 gold sockets and a bunch of extra damage/abilities. Whereas HE's don't have dual wield as an option, so they're very well suited to staffs. Just my opinion, of course.
  10. Not too shabby... HP regen seems a bit on the low side (I'm guessing you haven't taken Constitution yet?). I really like the deity Testa too... I mean, what's wrong with toasting everything on screen for free:) I used it to take down the Boar mini boss (he was working my ass something fierce...) so I can actually say that it's saved my character's life before. Handy stuff.
  11. Heh... cool. Just stuff em in your hero's chest and save them for later. Only problem I have with that is I get so many items put together, that I don't have to look for new items with my new characters ... almost makes looting useless after a certain point. So basically what I've been doing is keeping uniques and set items and any particular items I want for a specific ability and tossing everything else. Feels a bit more "fair" that way.
  12. Haha that's cool. Having a digital cable is nice... your TV doesn't have to convert from analog to digital, which means less artifacts and noise on the picture. More clarity = good! .3 regen hey? Probably pretty doable, from what I've seen of the higher level characters on this board. One of the members in another thread said he had a 0.0 regen time on his CA at level 170.... can't even imagine. I would think at that point the animation for casting takes longer than the regeneration time....
  13. Nice setup! I really like using a Halberd too, for when you get surrounded. Being able to nail multiple guys around me is good. I just found a unique staff. Level 20 Shadow Weaver. It's pretty nice! Still, I'd rather use a sword and shield for now...
  14. Nice. 360 over here. I haven't really started playing online much, as I'm a bit worried about mobs scaling to higher levels than me... plus, I like finishing campaign stuff first. That and it's tough to find other players within my level range. Still, even as a single player game, this game is fantastic. I think once I drop my regen times a little lower, I'm going to swap my equipment for stuff that decreases my casting speed. I currently have all of my equipment setup to cut my regen time in half 100% of the time, but that's starting to become somewhat redundant.
  15. That's awesome! All of them will have grey sockets, yeah... that's for damage mods. Having gold on top is awesome though. You playing Dual Wield with that? Those all sound like uniques, btw. 3 star items yeah?
  16. Not so sure about my HE rocking your SW off his feet... having a .7 second regen time on a SW of that level is fantastic. Very well done. What console are you playing on?
  17. How's the horseshoe feel up the rear? haha... What are your skills that you've taken? Do you have a ton of points tossed into EP? Are you making specific runs or just playing normally:) And are any of these weapons socketed:)
  18. Been playing a High Elf, pyro build, for the last 6 hours or so today... and I'm ripping it up much faster then I did with my Seraphim. These chicks are nutty! Level 20 with 0.5 second regen times... it's one raging inferno all day around here. Loving the High Elf. Might have to toss up a video of some crazy carnage later on. Anybody who likes clearing the screen of enemies and watching a long line of green experience flash across the screen should try playing a High Elf.
  19. Very Nice. Kuan's Pride in particular is really nice! Good job. What level were you when you found these items:) 15?
  20. How exactly do you get 141% of the map explored:) We don't have stats for this type of stuff on the consoles... leaderboards are really basic.
  21. Oh. I wasn't aware of this... I have 99.2% chance to half regeneration time of Combat Arts on my HE. I haven't missed one ability activation yet... so I just assumed that this was correct given the total percentage I have equipped (I'm playing on the 360). Edit: just double-checked my stats page and it too says 99.2%... is this reporting the amounts wrong them:)
  22. I'm trying to follow this thread, and the reference here to "diminishing returns" confuses me. Can't you just pump your percentage chance to 100% and have the ability trigger constantly:)
  23. The detail and texture work in those screenshot are significantly better than the console versions, just so you know... not like that should be too shocking, but still. As a console player, I was pretty surprised at the difference. Mind you, I don't often crawl up to my TV and check out the details from that close haha...
  24. That's cool, I didn't know about the noise. If you pay attention, you'll also notice that there's a little twinkle that shows up on screen near the magical hiding spot. Alternately, if you press the info button on your controller (click the right stick on 360, not sure about PS3), it will say "magical hiding spot" where the item is haha.
