  1. Thanks for the link Scleameth. I'm going to try this. I love Titan Quest and have played it for hundreds of hours. I haven't touched it for the past year due to so many other great games to play, but this mod sounds like a whole new experience. EDIT: I couldnt download the files from the links. The links here did work for me though
  2. I too find the lack of a zoom feature to be a deterrent to my total enjoyment of the game. Apparently though the Dev's have no intention to modify the fixed camera...a real shame imho.
  3. I believe Llama had to supply the developers a picture of himself for which to base the design upon. Looks like they got a good likeness. Nice find Cartographer.
  4. I got the game to play on my Nintendo 3DS (originally though it is only a DSi game) and I love it. I also have the pc version. It is a very easy game to start playing but an extremely hard game to get proficient at. The randomness of the armies in battle can be very frustrating at times but if you fail in a battle you can easily replay that battle and hope for a better setup. It is one of those games where the time just seems to disappear when playing. If you love turn based strategy combat games it is well worth the $15 for the pc version and also worth whatever you can get it for if you have a Nintendo DS/3DS.
  5. Your comments about the 3D effect are very true Podgie. Definitely if a person has a problem with viewing 3D then they should be wary of getting the 3DS. Not so sure about the paperweight comment though. Because you are able to turn off the 3D effect whenever you like. For me the 3D effect was not the only reason I got it. I especially liked the joypad circle thingy that the 3DS has. It is far easier on my arthritis than the D Pad. The internet browser that shipped with the console was a definite plus. And I liked the fact that the 3DS was backward compatible with earlier DS games. If you already own a Nintendo DS and don't want 3D capability then probably getting a 3DS would be an expensive upgrade. But don't forget that the new 3DS games can be played (and look quite good I might add) without the 3D effect on the 3DS, but they cannot be played on the old Nintendo DS console.
  6. Just bought myself a 3DS and I love it! I have Zelda: The Ocarina of Time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfvcyT8WR8c&feature=related Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars and an older DS game, Dragon Quest IX You cannot get the 3d effect from the videos unfortunately. The only handheld console I have had was an old Gameboy. But I didn't like it and gave it to one of my daughters after only a few days. But I love my Nintendo 3DS. The 3D effects are amazing. Though you do have to hold the 3DS at a certain distance and angle for it to work properly. That can be adjusted for each individual though and I don't find it be be major hindrance at all. The touch screen, the stereo sound, the widescreen, the ability to access the internet and with a 3DS game you can pause the game and go to the net and get hints while you play. Also I find the new circle pad (it's like a joystick) a great addition and very welcome when it comes to using it to control your characters movement. I can now game in every room at home and you gotta appreciate that. The 3 games I have so far are absolutely fantastic. Zelda is an old Nintendo 64 game but it has been remade for the 3DS and the conversion is nothing short of brilliant. Ghost Recon is a game in some ways similar to the old X-Com series which I was a big fan of. In fact one of the developers of the X-Com games was involved in Ghost Recon. I just love strategic turn based rpg combat games. And while Dragon Quest IX was not designed for the 3DS it plays fine on it and it is a great game for people that like the Japanese style of rpg games,,,,and that's me. So just to reiterate.......I love my Nintendo 3DS!
  7. Outlander for me. Ranged based with a side usage of magic....perfect!
  8. Hadn't heard of this one before. Thanks for the heads up Rndm. Oh what the heck. I got so many games happening atm whats another one going to matter. Downloading now.
  9. In the meantime try downloading them with your AV program and any software firewall turned off. Wont hurt and it might help?
  10. Depending what you mean by party actions gogo? If you mean invite to join a party then in the Chat Window Type: /invite playername
  11. Level 6 Dragonknight and level 9 Spellweaver I play on the US West server gogo, as it seems the best for my ping speed.
  12. If you mean guilds then no. That isnt implemented. But you can party up others though I dont know the maximum numbers you can have in your party. Another short gameplay video. Note that the auto map in this video is in the middle of the screen. It can be removed just like it was in Diablo.
  13. Comes with not having a life gogo That video you linked to gogo is for the first Drakensang game; The Dark Eye. That is pure single player as is the next in the series Drakensang; River of Time. We are talking about Drakensang Online. Here is a short video. Make sure you play it at HD 720p and fullscreen because that gives you a good idea what the game actually looks like when you play it......and that's pretty darn good for a browser game!
  14. It's a pretty good game. The graphics are amazing for a browser game especially at fullscreen. It's fun playing with others too, though you can play solo. It seems to have very little with the original Drakensang games, which could be a good or bad thing depending if you have played those two games before. As you mentioned it is a very small download being a browser game so it's worth checking out. I try to play when I can but I currently have so many games on my "to play list" that it's hard to find the time. edit: I just went and played it again. I forgot just how much fun it is, pure hack n slash. It's a much better game than when it was in closed beta. And I found very little lag which is unusual for me. The only problem I had was everyone was talking in German. I guess that's because the Drakensang games were developed in Germany and have a huge following over there whereas they have had limited success in the West (real shame as they are good games).
  15. I played it a lot some time ago when it was first released. It was fun and I got to join up with our clans guild. But it was early days and there was a massive problem with the game where once you reached about level 20 the quests were no more and the only way to level up was grind, grind and more grind. I found that to be totally boring so I gave it a miss and started playing other games. Even though they have now fixed the need to grind, it's too little too late and I no longer have any interest in the game. I think a lot of the earlier players feel the same.
  16. If you die with a non hardcore toon you will only lose part of your survival bonus which you will soon replenish as you are only level 15. If it was me I would start a new toon as a hardcore one, if that's the way you like to play. Level 15 is pretty easy to get back to. In single player you will always be tempted to keep a toon going even when they die. Hardcore will eliminate that decision for you. Oh btw, if you want to play the closed servers you need the EU version including Ice and Blood. I only say that as I see you are in the US and maybe have that version installed.
  17. EU version published by Deep Silver US version published by CDV check the box that the game came in.
  18. For a prequel this sure looks like a remake. Except for the one obvious difference, the female member of the team. John Carpenter's film was an absolute classic. While the scene with the "spider" head was unforgettable I also loved the ending. The total isolation that Kurt Russell portrayed at the end still haunts me when I think of it. The trailer looks interesting and it shows promise, but sometimes I think it's best to leave classic movies as just that......classic.
  19. The thing is Dragon, is that even though jet has the steam download version and I have the cd version, I still had to register my game through steam, and it is recognised as a steam game. And we have both updated our games to the latest version via steam and it still says we both have incompatible versions? It's a frustrating bloody mess. I'm hoping that either gogo or schot might shed some light as they seem to have at least got the LAN to work.
  20. Need help guys. Jet from clan DA and myself have tried to play multiplayer online but we are unable to get it working. Has anyone been able to play this game using the dungeon siege 3 servers?
  21. Get rid of Nortons! .......there you go, that's the best advice I have given all year.
  22. If you are playing SF1 then I don't think you will have any probs. As far as I am aware the issues are with SP2. Though not everyone experiences the hiccups so like most games that have been designed to run under XP or earlier......everyone's mileage will differ. Good to see you enjoying the Spellforce universe Steve.
