If you are playing on the console then it is likely the *mastery* display bug that is hurting you. The tooltips are messed up in that they display values reflecting what the skills bonuses will be once masterd if your soft +hard points >= 75 but you only get the benefits shown once you get hard points to 75 or greater.

Thanks a lot,it works!! They also seem to "forget" any character but the last from what I've seen. In other words they are pretty much useless.

I did a little digging and found the following thread which addressed bargaining in Ice and blood a bit but more on the all skills nerfage. http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?sh...12259&st=20 Specifically the following comment from Chrona was the one that caught my eye : "Bargain works fine. with 2.40 and 2.43 I needed Bargain= Charlvl*3 Now the trader offers the same items with bargain=Charlvl*2" Which sounds like they may have reduced the diminishing returns for bargaining along with the all skills nerfage or this needs more testing to determine if this is now the case. Hopefully the requirements for top tier items were reduced along with the +all skills

It's most definitely something you haven't yet looked at. Try it this way, kill something so it drops an item, pick it up and look at your inventory. The item will be sparkling. Look at the details fr that item, then close your inventory. Open your inv once again and it's no longer sparkling (and wont sparkle again). When you log on a character all the items in the inv sparkle for some reason, but will stop just by using the inv (you will be scrolling past them anyway, etc) I do not believe you are talking about the same effect. Open the inventory and DO NOT open the details. Notice on the right there are icons for the bits of gear you can wear? Notice how some of them are likely sparkling (not the bright appearance that new items get in the inventory list!).

On the consoles - VD dryad no question After that the Area of Effect characters are all very quick to level. Not sure which of them is the absolute fastest but my money is on the high elves

Crazy. I was using 20 to 23's and only managed to get my high elf to 591 ;/ I didn't shop for gear that had visibility + good sockets though so perhaps that made some difference? A good way to see the visible range you will get is to jump to the dryad island north sea port and see how much ocean is revealed w/o moving. Really easy to see the ring there

Lol and here I thought my level 152 elf with 591% visibility was doing ok What were the average ring/amulet %'s you were using on this? I thought it was neat that you could "reveal" the border of the map

To use the trophies you need to take the alchemy skill. Pity you can't choose *not* to pick them up lol. Books you "read" by using them and then really read in your quest log.

I should have read this earlier as I've already finished the quest Free world is a no-go as it doesn't save state you would be better served by just walking to the forest guardian each time. I suppose I could drop down to plat and farm level 155 sets

Any further updates to this testing and spelunking in the scripts?

Level 146 high elf (ice). 115 hrs, 43 minutes, 72,985 enemies killed, 94.3% SB, 0 deaths. Starting to do less leveling and more item hunting now

I had my profile in Sacred 2 corrupted when the host crashed as I was saving :/ I moved the corrupted game data to a memory card and started fresh as I couldn't find a way to get it to work at all.
