  1. The seraphim died in the cannon cave on the gold coast. Didn't see a trap and zap - dead seraphim. I had wanted to build an ice HE for a while and so far so good. I've had a few good drops and started her on bronze, about to move her to silver because the experience just isn't there anymore. Should hit level 50 this weekend, I'll post again then (if she's still alive). Steve
  2. Saw this post and I'm giving it a go. Thought that this would be a bit of a walk in the park until my level 24 Shadow Warrior died when the cat distracted me in a fight by knocking over my drink on the end table. So I started a seraphim instead because the build was developing too slow for the Shadow Warrior. (Still have him around to see how he develops) I'll try to keep the progress posted. If this works out and I do beat niob with a toon this way maybe we could make it harder, like for instance no buying at the merchant. Socketing and converting runes would be ok, but just use what you find and to make it even harder - campaign mode only, no free world farming allowed. Now that's HC, but first things first..........
  3. The quoted answer included is from Von, Ans didn't separate the posts. So my bet is that Ansgar can't answer that for you Ooops, my bad! I guess that I couldn't seperate who was who! I wrote computer games on an IBM Mainframe from about 1974 until 1976, does that count for anything? Absolutely! My hat's off to you. *sigh* I remember that my first computer had a 60 MEGABYTE hard drive and I upgraded it to a 100 Meg drive for a couple of hundred dollars. lol The only computer games that I played to death was Starcraft and it's expansions and Baldurs Gate 2 and it's expansion. I figured that I already had a TV so I went the way of the console. I guess that hardcore held a different meaning back then!

  5. Just out of curiosity, and with all respect due, what kind of hardcore gaming were you doing 46 years ago? We were the first on the block to get PONG in the early 70's and I bought the first Nintendo system when it came out and have been a hardcore console gamer ever since. Were you one of the first privileged ones that actually gamed on a college mainframe in the early 60's? If so then I'm jealous!
  6. Yep, I love the Spawn series and Angela. I believe that she was a divine hunter sent to seek out and kill all evil beings, especially hell-spawn. The similarities of her and the Seraphim are remarkable.
  7. Grandkids ar also your best revenge. Wind them up tight before sending them home ... LOL True, so true!
  8. Listened to Amon Amarth and Grave Digger over breakfast, then switched to Megadeth. Had to have a small change-up with Me and Bobbie McGee by Janis Joplin (one of my all-time favs)
  9. Awesome pics nili ! Congrats to you and mama. You've brought back some fond memories from raising 3 boys and me and my missus helping to raise two grand sons as well. Like everyone before has said enjoy the pre-hormone years and take tons of pics! *sigh* youngest boy is 21 and off to the Air Force............grandkids are your reward for not killing your kids when they were teenagers. lol Congrats again and keep posting!
  10. I was playing a BFG seraphim, but they are so powerful that I got bored with it. But it was interesting when I ran into the White Griffon at level 18. He kept debuffing my BFG leaving me empty-handed running in a big circle gulping down the health potions. Took me about 10 minutes real time to finally kill him. I like the seraphim character so this might be the challenge I'm looking for. So far using Baneful Smite as my ranged weapon to lure them in and then use Radiant Pillar. I use the best sword I can find/buy for a 1 hit mop-up (I kind of like the wet work). We'll see how it goes. I'll give up-dates from time-to-time if everyone is interested. I'm sure that I'll be asking some questions as I go stick_em, thanks for the offer!
  11. Got my build underway last night, we'll see how she does.
  12. I feel your pain Raines I finally lost my patience on my 5th replacement and got rid of it.....for now. As for the 'funniness' I have noticed with the PS3 mainly is with ranged combat there are a few minor things I notice A)Up close enemies sometimes take no damage I could be pounding the heck out of them and I have to move away and then let them move and this usually fixes the problem. B)Targeting..I have been in caves and it has decided to target someone on the other side of walls rather then the people right in front of me. C)It seems to not fire...I am not sure if this is an extension of the first problem or not but sometimes I will be going thwang thwang thwang..or pfft pfft pfft depending on what I am using..and suddenly there will be no arrows or darts or stars or whatever coming out from my guy..again this is very often associated with where I am standing as perhaps terrain is eating my shots. Also I have noticed Alchemy is pretty much a waste skill based on the impracticality of accessing the items..for as far as I can tell the only way to use an item is to go into your inventory scroll to the proper page scroll down to the item and then use it and leave your inventory..if anyone knows an easier way please let me know as I have not found a way to hot bar any of them. After sending in my 360 for that error code for the third time, the company that provided the extended warranty cut me a check for it. I invested that in a ps3. I have found that to hot key the potions go to your inventory, go to potions, hit triangle, that pulls up the key pad and then slot it. Hope this helps
  13. Thanks ryanrocker and stick_em, I was at work and couldn't access my ps3 when I wrote the post. I couldn't remember about Ancient Magic. I was surprised that Combat Discipline wasn't listed as helping this aspect on SacredWiki, but who am I to criticize - it's been a GREAT aid!
