  1. You mean this patch? http://www.dice.nl/Trouble/trouble_C&CRA.htm But I found out that RTS games are not for me.
  2. I am downloading it now, but I never played it before so I will have to wait and see if I like it. And like TimOfDoom, I do not realy know if the game will work on Windows XP..I mean 1996?
  3. Hmm, thanks for the tip, I wasn't so much in the mood to cook today. And since I live about 1 kilometer away from a Japanese restaurant I know what I will be eating this evening.
  4. I have tried many AV software over the years and the last 2 years I have come to realy like this one. Program Title : Avast Home edition 4.8 Area of application : Anti virus Recommended because : It is a all around package.(IMHO ) Download from : http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Cost : Free(Although there are also version which DO require payment. ) Known drawbacks / limitation : Not one of the fastest AV scanners. And those who are looking for AV with HIPS..this one doesn't have it. (Thankfully not. ) It has a whole area of nice features as you can read on the site, and one of those features is the ability to scan at boot up. Just look at the Technical features to see most of it.
  5. Yeah it looks legit to me aswell. I am registered on severall other forums and the acknowledgement of registration for those forums looked very much the same. I'm pretty paranoid when it comes to security, but this mail wouldn't spook me for a second to be honest.

Well I hat tried FF 3 today but severall of my favorite plugins didn't work with that version so I reinstalled FF2.0.0.16 and then used the program Stubbie mentioned to set everything back...and it works like a charm, Thanks stubbie.

Under bookmarks click on Organize bookmarks. Click on file and then on export. This allows you to save all your bookmarks as a bookmarks.html Save it on disk and ones everything is installed again, go to Organize bookmarks/File again in FF and then use import.
  8. There are many Registry cleaners out there but most of those are not to my liking, so I was glad when several years ago I found Regseeker. One of the great things about this one is that it can be set to many languages Program Title : Regseeker Area of application : Windows registry cleaner Recommended because : Easy and save to use Download from : http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm Cost : Free for personal use. Known drawbacks / limitation : As far as I am aware 1.55 is the last version, there are no known updates to me. This one is IMO a lot safer to use then some of the others I have used. Ofcourse it is possible that I just didn't know the right settings for the other Reg cleaners I used..but with Regseeker I never ever have problems.
  9. Well I do not use Vista but XP Pro, and I usualy only defrag 2 times a week. I used to use Sysinternals Contig and the JKDefrag, but since a month or more I use the Combination of Contig and then Ultimate Defrag and I must say that I am extremely impressed with Ultimate Defrag. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5965.html Disktrix own Website also has a downloadable PDF manual which explains in detail what the program can do and so on. http://www.disktrix.com/ It has both a freeware version and a full version, but even the freeware version is extremely usefull IMHO. The problem with software is that everyone has his/her own favorites so it is not possible to say that is the best, try a few out and see which one you like.
  10. BHJ thank you for taking away what free time I have in the weekend, my girlfriend is already polishing her torture equipment. Ok my best result so far.
  11. Well for those that know PS better this one will be easy to do, but for me at that time it looked like..oh boy? Personaly I only used the method of star field making from this tut(and burn/dodge), which looks to be the same method as the one in Schots link. Normally I am not such a fan of dark themes like that but this one has a certain look so to speak..and space is a extremely dark place anyway. http://www.freephotoshop.ca/tutorials/effe...planet-tutorial
  12. Well the distort is probably from not using Spherize correctly when I tried to make the shadow on that planet. As for the cosmic cloud stuff..well I made this picture about 2 months ago and this was the first realy serious work I tried with PS. The base clouds I did by using difference clouds after which I used collor balance to change the collors to a red and some what yellowish collor. Then I used the smudge tool on them. After that I darkened the outerparts a bit, and although I was playing around quite a lot, I think that I did the center part with the burn and dodge tools..but I am not certain about that part any more. I am realy sorry about that, but since I still need to learn a lot about PS I realy fool around a lot with its functions and such when I try to make something. It sometimes leads to very surprising results as you can see. Knowing me I will start to fool around again when I start with those tuts that Schot linked to, so I might find out again how I did the center parts of those cosmic clouds. EDIT:(Again) I am now pretty sure that I did part of the cosmic clouds using the burn and dodge tools, because I found a link back to a tutorial I found shortly before I made this picture. I tried to use the method of making a star field from this tut and read through it a bit more and tried some things. Since this is Schots thread I will not place a link to another tutorial here unless he has no problems with it.
  13. Schot thanks for those tut links, I will most certainly try them out. So far the best space picture I made is this one: http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/Il...lanet14copy.jpg I only started using Photo shop a few months ago so there is still a lot to learn, but I thought my picture was good none the less. But things can be inproved everytime with Photo Shop so I will certainly try those tuts out.

  15. I can not say I hat real problems to get on Darkmatters. 1 or 2 days ago it took a whole lot longer for the site to load, but in the end it loaded...after that it seemed to work fine for me. (That is as far as I can tell with my limited knowledge about things like that. )

  19. Indeed congrats Tomi. It is going to take a very long before I get a toon at that level, oh well.
  20. Ok getting confused here? It seems to work one moment and the next you either have a hard time seeing any difference or it doesn't seem to work?
  21. So it is not worth to use, good thing then that I only read one rune.
  22. That's ok DaveO, I will just keep Dread at level 1 then for as long as tests ar being done. No loss there when it turns out that it doesn't work.
  23. Any news on the effectiveness of the Dread spell? (Hey I'm trying out all the toons now to see which ones I like and which ones I don't. Right now it's the Daemon. )
