I am most pleased that all opinions expressed have been dispassionate rather than argumentative. Discussion is good, argument usually just shows a lack of education. Actually, that might cause more problems than it's worth. I have mad modifications to the default theme in the past and everything goes away if/when there is an update. That can be a real pain because now you either have to make the changes all over again (if you remember what they were) or you lose all the changes. Wouldn't it be better to perhaps have a "special forum" where all such extra information was prominently listed?

Unfortunately the game I want to run just refuses to run unless it's run under DosBox. I bought a version from Gog that runs but it is version 4.x which was never an official release and many of the game options do not work. I have all the game files saved from after an install, so I copied those over to the new GoG install folder but the game will only run through once. If I try to start a new game, it doesn't run. With DOS games, there were no registry entries, so my installed file option should work fine but it doesn't. The game is Masters of Orion II. Anyone have any suggestions? For some reason I'm addicted to this game.

So if owning a single copy is proof of normal membership, what does owning multiple copies indicate? I haven't compared the two themes yet, so have no idea if I'm going to miss anything by using one over the other. Guess I will just have to use it a while but the initial appearance has sold me so far. Thanks again! [Added] OK, the biggest difference is that the Sacred Wiki is not visible in the IP.Board theme. Something that needs to be modified or just kept in mind?

I have a problem that I'm hoping someone can help with and this looks like the best possible topic to post in. If I'm wrong, please move or split this where it will be more appropriate. When creating or editing a post I can hardly see the text I'm inputting/changing. it is a dark grey on a black background. Once the post has been submitted, I can read it much better but then, sometimes, I need to go back to correct it because I couldn't see my mistakes the first time. Is there any way that different skins could be made user available for those of us who are almost blind? If nothing else, could the text be made to be white on the black background? Then at least I could see it!

I have found that if I put the install program on the computer and set it to a Legacy mode before trying to install the game it usually installs. Unfortunately, the game I really needed to install was an old DOS game that worked quite well under Windows XP, SP3 but absolutely refused to install under Windows 8.1.

After I built my new Windows 8.1 system, I found trhat oine of the games that I really NEEDED to run wouldn't, not even in legacy mode. Since I've never used DOSbox to run any games I've installed, I'm not familiar with how to set it up. I took the lazy way out and bought a Windows 7 machine that looked like it would work OK. It was painfully slow! So slow that, even though I paid good money for it, it sites next to my custom machine and collects dust. I have also added my name to the pot to get a free upgrade to Windows 10. If it doesn't work the way I hope, I still have the OEM install disk for Windows 8.1 ... which, after a few wrestling matches, now works just fine.

I need a USB 2.0 internal header so I can install an internal mini command link. My motherboard has two such connections but they are both in use and I don't want to lose that capacity. It would have to be on a PCI card and I don't care if there are any external USB ports of any type associated with it. I'm hoping someone here may have an old one lying around not being used. All I can find on the Internet ad USB 3.0.

When Wildtangent was going to close their forum they were nice enough to give us 4 months warning and then gave us a 2 month extension on top of that to allow us time to manually copy over all the important topics to our new website. The Sacred International forums seem really quiet and I cannot imagine they would last forever since the games don't seem to be as popular as they used to be. What are the chances that an Archive section could be set up here somewhere that could hold copies of all the most important topics and posts from there? It would be a massive undertaking but, if enough of us helped, it shouldn't take too long. It would also take some kind of central coordination so 40 people weren't trying to copy the same topic all at once! Comments? Suggestions?

I have three copies of the game myself and have just reloaded Sacred 2 Gold on my new PC to try to get into it again. For some reason Skyrim keeps intruding ... Hope you find everything (and everyone) you need while you're here.

Just checked and it's back up to $20. I don't really need a new copy but if it were inexpensive enough, I would get another copy or two to use for LAN games ... especially if it will help Unbended.

I just checked on GoG and Sacred 2 Gold was listed for $19.99. Was that a new member special you got?
