Deadly Wounds

I was wondering what is this golden modifier for, and wiki didn't help a lot The spanish translation is literally Chance for Death blow instead of Deadly Wounds. Death blow means double damage, so maybe when you or your enemy has been deadly wounded all incoming hits within the 10-seconds effect deal double damage. Has anybody any ideas?

One of the wounds has never been found out, and a few people think it is broken.

While you are at it, test direct damage too. I still think its damage that cannot be evaded or reduced in anyway.
