lujate 578
I guess it is typical for the genre. I guess it is OK as long as it is limited to character slots and bling. Link to comment

I hope the link I'm about to share won't turn you off, but here's what could be found on the Closed Beta Cash Shop on April 10th : LINK Maybe the contents changed since then, we'll find out next weekend. gogoblender 3,185
Thanks for the link. Did I read it right that they will be selling in-game items for real money? Is that normal? They currently in GW1 sell things in game for $, extra slots, costumes, name changes, character changes, etc... These things will also be sold in-game for gems (which can cost real money, or which you can trade for in-game gold, or can obtain in-game). Max I don't mind stuff like that being on sale, in fact I applaud it as a way for the company to get additional income rather than charging montly fees. Bling's cool and you can have some amazing ideas in game with this, and having it for sale, means those of us that don't want it, don't have to buy it... and no matter how much bling someone buys, it doesn't really impact my gaming experience via my perception of them getting an unfair advantage. gogo 1 Link to comment
Knuckles 904
Doubt I'll buy anything in-game....unless they come up with a Grand Poobah Water Buffalo Hat Link to comment
Scleameth 19
I'm not too worried about spending money to visit the cash store. I still think that my game gold would buy me enough gems to go and spend on the few items I might require. My only concern is that players that sell gems for gold are going to monopolize the market and demand insane amounts of gold, but as far as I read, ArenaNet said that they will have their own staff selling gems at standard rates and therefore intend to keep the market within reason. Here is a good opinion on gems vs gold Edited April 27, 2012 by Scleameth Link to comment
