Seems easter weekend will bring cold, snow, storm, ... So if this really happens I was searching for something to do with whole family when outdoor activities are not possible. One of the movie which is curently at nearby (less than 30 kilometres) cinemas is this one. It is a stop motion movie and the trailer seems to be funny. But as always: I do not know the quality of german translation and which age class it is aimed at.

I saw the ads for this in the theatre, but didn't get a chance to see the trailer. I love their creative style with the characters, very amusing from the get go!

It should be. Aardman is known for family friendly entertainment. A lot of their work is aimed at younger audiences - but they still manage to slip in some yuks for the adults too. Pirates is rated PG (Parental Guidance Suggested) which means it's up to the parents to figure out if it's OK for their kids to watch it. Generally, it should be fine for MOST younger children.

 

I say go for it. I can't vouch for any translations, though.
