Session Times

I used to be able to stay logged in all day... with the new forum setup, I have to re-login a lot... every 10 minutes or so. While it isn't a huge deal, I wondered, was this something that was changed on purpose?

Sorry, omg, it's part of the new ipb 2.3 security system.

Can you please tell me how long a session you're getting exactly?

I'll look into the time of it here on my end.

No need to tell me, omg, lol..I just checked.

Sessions time out after one hour, apparently the new ipb software thinks it's more secure that way.

...it logged me out since I posted that... 18 minutes... could it be that there are other people on the same IP... or does it go by username?

 

*edit*... the main page is displaying the login and saying "welcome guest" but it appears I still AM logged in. my bad.

 

*edit2* this only happens when I click on the "DarkMatters" link below the art at the top.

Ah yes. That has always been. Clicking the darkmatters link just below the logo and to the left will log you out.
