  1. I am using the Steam version of Sacred 2. Is there anything I need to do different when installing the CM patch? Also, am I assuming correctly that after I install the patch that I need to also install the hot fix for it? Thanks in advance for the help. I am fumble fingers when it comes to this type of thing and I want to do everything correctly .

  3. The most likely reason is that you are missing some shader files or the folders have somehow been hidden due to an incorrect file path or file name. I would do a fresh reinstall of the game after running a complete malware scan and after cleaning your cache. Without more information I cannot tell you for certain what caused the issue. If it's a shared computer that leaves even more possible causes which may have led to the problem you reported. Before you reinstall, you may want to update Windows, your graphics card's driver, and de-fragment your PC. If you have a SETA drive it may be wearing out. Is making a clicking sound at almost regular intervals? If so, you may want to upgrade to a SSD as your drive could last another year or more or could cease to function with little warning. Whatever drive you have it's always best to back up the important files that you have on an external drive or drives for safekeeping. I recommend two Solid State Drives. Your main drive should run Windows and the other may be used to run the game. Your performance would be better that way. I hope this advice helps. Start with the simplest solution at the beginning of my reply and see if that cures the problem.

  4. That's wonderful, thank you. Especially for the info about the Ancaria Airlines quests, now I don't have to feel I'm missing out by playing a Shadow character.

  5. You have probably moved on to another toon but perhaps someone else will read this. First skill to 75, Dual Wield. You won't need any strength at all. I would probably go for Vitality most of the time. If you enjoy Flaring Nova go ahead but Pelting Strikes (plus Dual Wield) and Radiant Pillar is enough. Attract can be handy with Radiant Pillar if you are all out melee. Runes read. Stay with 1 if you like, doable but not necessary to keep it quite that low. Just keep an eye on the cooldown of Pelting Strikes. Battle Stance if you tend to stick with Pelting Strikes more than Flaring Nova. Expert Touch. I like it off and concentrate on Exalted Warrior.

  9. Firstly, this is a great question, and a delightful first post ... welcome to DarkMatters! so... *steeples fingers in deep though" ... let me see... I'd say off the bat, Orc Cave for the keeeeeeeeerazy drops... you can just run this on repeat all day and walk out with bags brimming with loot... Also really liked Undead Legion because of the guaranteed legendary... you can create a lot of builds this way because you're getting a guaranteed legendary: c Also...heck, the Epic Office is filled with all the Devs that made this game... hell yah! gogo

  10. 3 years later, but maybe still a relevant question. Here is the full list of changes, including internal changes: Added code to load global.res from hard disk instead of the encrypted resource, enables texts to be modded removed encrypted global.res from .exe saving 2mb in file size removed cheat codes to get space for own code multi-instancing, run Sacred multiple times at once multiplayer crash fixed changed display of version number without changing internal version to stay compatible to closed A.Net debugger freeze fixed changed loading of balance.bin to use a hard coded path, we did this change for our mod loader, which would patch the pathes of files to get them loaded from the mod directory black screen fixed, when using another window in lobby, specifically so you can sit in the chat lobby of A.Net and use your browser or anything else while still be able to read the lobby chat
