Sacred had a small and trusting community. I feel very different about Blizz games. My rule :- "If you don't know them, you don't trust them." That might seem harsh, but that way you don't get hacked/conned etc. Plus, I hate those that always have a hard luck story. All of us have lost toons but you pick yourself up and build the next little hero. I might chat on the boards about a loss, but I don't give out hard luck stories in-game as it sounds like your hoping for a handout/charity. I like to be helpful/friendly, but sometimes you have to be careful too.

You could still make some extra money selling them on the auction house...even if its only a few times over the profit from ingame merchants, enough rares drop to bring in the money over time. I put them up for auction for a reasonable price and most of them don't sell. I reduce the price to face value and they still don't sell. That's why I gave up. like Knuckles said, if they don't have that something special they aren't worth the effort. The thing I find annoying about the auction is that you can only have 10 items for sale at any time. Daft.

Hi and many thanks for the feed back. That's a shock on the sets. A huge dissapointment for me as I really enjoyed trying to get a complete set in D2. Oh well. On the GAH, I gave up trying to sell 99% of rares and just sell them to in-game merchants. You're right about those stats Knuckles.Having an item with all 4 is a bit of a waste. Only thing you can do is use it on several builds, if the stats are high enough. That's the beauty of a shared stash. I've sold all my legendaries, but only after reducing them greatly as they wouldn't shift for the 'going rate'. Sockets in an item can make a big difference on the GAH. My main toon's classes are DH & monk, so I always look for high dex first. Anything else is a bonus. They are both in sc, so although nice, vit isn't essential. I do have 1 hc toon. A barb, but I've only played him up to around level 11, so I haven't worried too much about buying goods except a nice wep. Steve.

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone has been fortunate enough to see a set item ? Even though I have a toon with high MF% I haven't seen a single set piece, so far. I have had 6 or 7 legendaries drop, but I have found them to be rather dissapointing, tbh. It seems very odd, as sets were quite common in D2. IIRC the set items started at just level 3 in D2, so you could start to collect them very early on. Can't quite get my head around items atm. Rares seem to be the only ones worth bothering with, in my experience. Just as a side note, the GAH prices are out of control, IMHO. Even average items command a very high price.To upgrade your gear costs a fortune. Shame I can't sell mine even after reducing the price. Obviously my stuff just don't have a market ! Steve.

You're just too cheeky for words. Back on topic :- I thought I read somewhere that hc toons couldn't shop at the gah, but I bought an item for my hc barb earlier today.

But on the other flip side, if they were good drops people wouldn't be selling them, they would be using/stashing them A). What was a fantastic item at level 30 is now no good to you at level 40, so you sell it at the gah to raise some cash and upgrade. B). What is a fantastic item for (example) a Demon Hunter is no good to you as you don't have/don't want that class, so you sell it at the gah to raise some cash for classes that you do have.

It is a bit of a puzzle and I can see both sides of Gogo and Dobster's point of view. Even though my main toon has very high mf, she still get's poor drops. Also, it really is daft that the drops are so far below your toons level. That makes no sense at all ! But on the flip side, everything on the gah has dropped for some-one ! So, there must be good drops out there or the gah would be empty.............. Hmmm, what a situation ! The fact is, for the time being, we will all have to buy the majority of our kit in the gah. Maybe that will change with future patches or an add-on. Only Blizz knows the answer to that one. Steve.

Hi. Just thought I'd come back and give my take on act 3 as I finished it last night :- Well, you were not joking about the amount of mobs, but I actually enjoyed that. It certainly kept me on my toes and tested my skills, but it was fun. I also thought that whilst there were many of them, they were less of a threat than act 2 mobs, imho. I had a lot of trouble in some areas of act 2, especially with jumpers and poison users and I died numerous times. I managed to go through act 3 unscathed ! I found that now my DH has gained some lvls, that her skills are fantastic for containing large groups of mobs. With her traps, bombs/mines, stuns, and the arrow that splits and hits multi mobs you can really gain the upper hand. I don't know what class you guys took to act 3, but give the DH a go and you'll have a blast ! Caltrops, spike trap, hungering arrow with shatter shot, and so many other cool skills. Act 4 here I come. When I've done act 4 for the first time, I'm going to try some other classes, and then try to take on hc............*gulp* ! Bye for now, Steve.

So far the game is better than I had been expecting. I think the DH is a fantastic class, though I'm a bit worried now after reading some of your comments on act 3. I just finished act 2 last night............ I have now created a toon on the American server, as the EU one is so unreliable. One night, I got kicked off with an error of "problem trying to create a party" when I was playing solo and hadn't even chated with anyone ! Groovy ! So, so far happy, but if I get a right kicking in act 3 then I may come running back with my tail between my legs, haha ! Steve.

Woohoo ! Just got my first legendary drop. Can't believe it. I got the amulet :- The Eye of Etlich. Very nice indeed. 999 deaths = 1 legendary. Hmmm, almost worth it, lol ! Just as well I'm in sc for now as I'm taking a bit of a beating in act 2, tbh. My DH better toughen up and quick !

Such a shame that I'm so busy with work and r/l, as I'm not getting anywhere near enough game time for Diablo 3 as I would like *sigh* I think I'll be last to complete the game/hit lvl60 on the planet !

I had planned to give all 5 classes a go, but am enjoying the DH so much that I'm sticking with her for the moment. I think when I have completed the normal level and am more confident in my play, then I'll give the other classes a quick go. Probably just for a bit of fun though, before continueing with my DH. I really am enjoying playing that class and the game as a whole. Steve.

I'm still on sc. With a few deaths and numerous close shaves, I think I'll be there for a while yet ! I definitely plan to move to hc eventually, but need to get competant first.

..that's why it will get even more problematic on May 30, which is when I heard they were about to start the RMAH.. also, maybe they're going to try and sell those stolen items.. has each item a unique ID? if so it might be hard, if not, maybe they could get away with it, if the can't backtrace who hacked & stole the stuff (if anyone did, because it's still not sure how items/chars were lost) If that's correct, then it is pretty low. Apart from ruining other's pleasure, they aren't exacly going to get rich from it !

I've read about folk having thier session drop out and when they get back on all thier items and gold have gone. I was wondering if that is down to the servers rather than hackers, not that I'm an expert on the subject. The main target, I would have thought, for hackers is the r/l cash on the auctions rather than getting items from some-ones account ?

I think you mean Samuels, who hit a very good 86. I never mind when England lose to a better team. What I hate is when we lose because we played poorly. There's a big difference. The Windies played very well with some exciting youngsters, particularly in the bowling department. It should be a good series. Hopefully we play to our potential and win all three matches, but you never can tell.

There's lots of stuff not in the manual, like pressing tab in-game will give you a fuller map.

I'm amazed that they have removed the XP hit that they had before. Maybe that'll change in one of thier patches/add-ons. Thanks for asking Gogo, I had been wondering myself.
