Facetteleon - How do you beat him?

Recommended Posts

if you look on the wiki you can see what he is weak against

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Facettelion

* Weakest against Magic, Fire and Physical Damage

* Does Fire and Poison damage

with my Shadow Warrior (level 55 ish?) I was able to beat him with my 4 spectral warriors and spectral hand etc... quite quickly...

TheRook21

Playing through on bronze level 32 inquistor however whatever I do, melee, spells etc barely tickle him, and any damage I do inflict regenerates before I can do anymore.

Maybe I need to level up sum more?

At this point, it could be the amount of damage you're doing. Consider returning to him with better weapons, and when you have better gear on. A way to do this could be to find a friend at a higher level who can enchant your equipment with higher level Smith Runes. I'm also not familiar with the Inquisitor Combat Arts...maybe there is something in your arsenal you can use to weaken or stun him?

awwwwwwwww..I really wish dude ...but I'm on pc. If you'd been on my platform I would have come in in a sec

Is there a way to find other players in your platform that could help with the socketing? We have a clan and with so many of us in different levels, we're not far from a call out to have a friend help us with the socketing.

No, there isn't a good way to find players (like me...) who are willing to toss up a few good items for the sake of a new player. Perhaps create a side guide for PS3, or create a thread solely for people to sign that are of a decent level and are willing to help others.

I actually found this boss to be one of the biggest pains in the ass, but easiest to beat at the same time. I have beaten him solo with a temple guardian with both buffs on solo, while only using a few potions. Xbox 360 version, so things may be different. I found he really only stuns me more than he hurts me and regenerates quickly. Just use great damage weapons available for your level with leech life, when you're stunned you should regenerate life yourself. I don't know buddy, I've played him twice on bronze and once on silver with a friend. Played him w/ 2 Inquisitor high levels on Silver, had leech Life weapons with the HP buff, my boy had an Inquisitor w/ ghosts. We still worked him, aside from being stunned. If you have a TG with combo techs Archimedes Beam and the "T-Mutation" spell along with Jolting Touch can do huge damage but a High Level Archimedes Beam is the key. Causes notable loss of life. When stunned, you still charge combo/ archimedes beam, so he signs his own death warrant. <shrug> just a few ideas, if anyone else can help out the SW in need, do so-- but I never found this boss to be too difficult, just time consuming. Then again, only played w/ 2 Inquisitor and 1 TG.

First post, sorry I went on for a minute.

I would go with Astral Lord type build for him. I dabbled into the shadow warrior and with 4 minions I kill this boss with relative ease on silver. With the build I tried out, I finished silver difficulty at level 31. Go with minions and use shadow veil so it does not come after you. I read runes to keep my minions doing around 150 dmg per hit. It seemed to work well throughout silver difficulty.

I Agree With The Astral Lord Build.

I Used That To Clear Gold.

Had My Minions (5 Of Them) Doing Around 350-400 Each.

Then......It Got Corrupted File....

  • 1 year later...

I need some advice, pals. My toon is 41 level Dryad and I can't kill him, I use a hollowshot with +16 life leech, but there are two hirelinks with me, that I can't get rid of..

I know he is weak against fire but I don't have any weapons causing fire damage or something...

Can you suggest what shall I use, or equip?

The hirelings are probably the issue, he can use life leech on them. This will make it very difficult to get his life down.

Can you figure out which quests they are and finish them?

I just know the names of the two of them..Alexander and Herbert but I don't remember which quest is connected with them...actually there are 4 of them, but when I enter the cave there are 3 with me, and they never die...I died once, though. :Just_Cuz_21:

I shall try to find an solve their quests before entering back the cave with Facetteleon. Thanks!

A couple of things actually...

Backtrack to the nearest town and visit the blacksmith. The blacksmith is your best friend...

1.) Get some Cabalistic Voodoo runes (any ones from the CV tree will do) and socket them in your armor. This will boost your CV skills AND boost life leech. It can be a bit expensive, but it's generally worth it when you can boost your Life Leech from 16 to say, 50... Leech suits work rather well in this respect. Oh.. and the regen penalty when you socket is half of what you get when you eat the rune(s).

2.) Whilst at ye ol' Blacksmiths... Consider forging either a Chunk of Lava or Ice Crystal in your blowgun's socket. If you need a weapon that deals fire and can't find a halfway decent one with the right damages to save your life - you can always MAKE any weapon do the job.

3.) Consider using a different weapon. If you can find a sword or axe or even a bow with a higher damage factor that's within reason, forge the chunk of lava in that instead and once you're past the big stone thing, you can go back to using your blowgun.

Any idea who the hirelings are/where they're from?

Are they Human hirelings? I remember a quest to escort a few humans over by Eloeth-Sun. Might be that one.

Yes, they are human. I'll check that quest.Thank you.

Ah yes... They're refugees... Sick ones, if I recall correctly...

OK. Now then.. It looks like you've alredy visited the smith with some of that gear (nice stuff by the way)...

Any time you see "Conversion of damage to ______: xx%" - in your case, poison, you've already got a poison fang embedded in the item. Ker's Scepter and Phantasm Hollowshot both have one. The Bull's Eye bow has a Magic Pearl. You could resocket (remove the modifier and add a chunk of lava) to any of these, BUT... At this point, your most powerful weapon is the Officer's Saber at 95 - 119 damage. And it's unmodified. I'd go with that since it's your strongest. I'd drop in a Cabalistic Voodoo rune or two as well as the Lava. Depending on your difficulty level, the Life Leech bonus is either +2 or +3 - I'm guessing by your level and where you are in the game, that you're either playing Bronze or Silver. In which case, you'll be adding +2 or +3 to Life Leech with every CV rune you forge into your sword or armor.

Thank you,wolfie2kX

Unfortunately the hirelinks are not from Eloeth-Sun quest.I did all quests there.I think my hirelinks are from different quests. Two of the men are dressed like being from the desert region..but I have two failed quests there, and all others are finished..Is it possible that they are from a failed quest? And will they always be with me?

The other is a boy, named Alexander and I think he wanted me to rescue his cat from a cave but I forgot where was that(in what city)..

And the last one is named Herbert ...but I have no memories at all about him. He keeps saying "let's not waste time"...

I keep trying to figure them out..but it's not as easy as I thought.

Hello! I believe the main factor stopping you from killing this boss with a weapon is the lack of Tactics Lore. CD will boost your Hunter Combat Arts but not by very much... but the skill-set of your Dryad is geared towards the Cabalistic Voodoo aspect... and from what I remember the Malicious Totem should be your main "weapon" - and using that beautiful blowpipe for regeneration per hit so you can cast multiple totems per battle.

Also, you have the Nature Weaver Lore... which gives another direction for high-damage combat arts... but from my experiences, the Acute Mind and Ephadic Lances combo really doens't start getting good until your toon is up into the 50's or 60's level wise.

All in all, Lelopexa, you have a mage-style character on the go, and the Dryads' spells are quite a force to be reconed with. IMO, forget about trying to kill bosses with your weapon-attacks, and start slinging those spells! :)

Sorry I cannot help too much with your escorts. A while back I got some glitches in my quests while I was doing multiple quests at the same time. From then on, I recommend only doing one at a time (it's a pain, I know).

IIRC, Alexander's cat is in a cave west of Griffinborough.

Thank you, that's the one

I guess you're right. I just received my first ever 4 star weapon..Kybele's song but it also didn't help..

I give up on the boss for now..

Thank you all for your help..
