Dear Journal, I had a nice visit with a Kobold this morning. I found it refreshing to encounter one of these creatures who wasn't trying to harm me. We had some tea and buttered scones with jam. I did however, have a difficult time crawling out of his front door when our breakfast was finished.

Did anyone else find the fight against the Mist of Miasma kind of boring? It doesn't even attack you, just summons undead and floats around looking bored while you kill the undead.

 

The Mist is scripted to have all kinds of nefarious attack spells, but I've never seen it use ANY of them. Have any of you ever seen the Mist actually use any attacks against you? Might be something to look into...

This screen is epic.

 

I think to remember (long time I haven't fight him) that he has a kind of whirlpool which can cause severe damage if you don't move. But fighting against him is not interesting at all indeed (even more when a summon run at kilometers from you and to find him, good luck..)

Yeah! See, I've seen that spell in the scripts, but he's never used it against me, and I've fought him dozens and dozens of times. I think maybe the CM Patch changed something about his AI that's causing him to be less aggressive than he should be or something. There's stuff in the patch notes about changes to the boss, I should go check.

The only attack it has ever made on me are some yellowish balls of energy that are sent in my direction. Kind of similar to the God spell that has a similar effect. Nothing worth writing home about though.

The Fog, "Miasma," does target the player character(s) and lizard men with icy cold orbs that do ice damage over time. They are only worth being wary of if ones toon is not well enough protected. For example, I played my High Elf at level 42 Platinum against The Fog as I was racing to see how fast I could achieve Niob (which occurred at 45) and I used healing potions to ensure that the damage over time didn't snuff her.

This is not a character from Diablo 2, but rather a Diablo-fication of a classic Sacred 2 villain: The Black Seraphim.

 

 

Since all the angels of Sacred 2 got a revamp in the mod, the evil angels did too!

They're actually based on the Demon Hunter model from D3, which you might recognize.

One of my favorite things in the game as we played so much HC in groups... sharing buffs with others is all warm and fluffy... I remember that casting COA on other would turn them into gods for a few minutes on top of the fire skin.

I extended the combat art range of my Seraphim to awe-inspiring levels, just as I did for my High Elf. If one looks closely, the whitish line indicating the approximate termination point of her Flaring Nova is evident. All of the opponents in range were just obliterated some moments before this image was captured.
