Popular Post Ryanrocker 200
Hey all! So for my games programming class, our semester project has been to create a game by the end of the course. My project is a dungeon crawler ARPG, with elements from Sacred (our beloved Combat Arts = no mana) and Path of Exile (no gold based economy). Our last assignment was to design the level for our game, so naturally I picked a design very close to all of us...Ancaria! Well, not Ancaria necessarily but a piece of it I've posted my outline I've submitted for my first zone and basic UI setup. Keep in mind that I've taken some artistic liberties by adding in a few buildings that don't actually exist, but I was curious if any of our Sacred 2 vets could guess what zone I've taken on. Best of luck, and cookies for correct guesses 2 Link to comment

Ryanrocker 200
Hmm, perhaps I should have mentioned that this is basically a cut-out of one of the Tyr Lysia regions. In other words, it's not actually in island ingame, but for project purposes I have made it as such Now that I look at it, it definitely looks more like Seraphim island than what I based it off of, good guess Flix! Popular Post Ryanrocker 200
Right on the money there I was a big fan of the way the Dryad starting progressed you from a very constrained island into the mainland, so I decided to go with something similar. 2 Link to comment

Ryanrocker 200
Will we ever get to play your game? Sure thing, there will be something playable at the end of April and if I like the way the project turns out I may decide to continue working on it to get it into a decent semi-marketable game! Quite honestly I think the game itself will come out quite nice, but using free shaders and textures available to us will probably hurt it from an art perspective. But hey, that's a story for when I come in with screenshots 1 Link to comment

I will most likely be making an update thread where I can post all the progress as I'm going along so that anyone who is interested can take a look at the journey. I'm very curious to see how this will all turnout! 1 Link to comment
