  1. Sorry, I am asking again, but I do not have any camera or any other external device. How can I capture with the program?
  2. I have shield of mirrors x 3 level 22 , 45 60 all drops from silver,cold with m. So, I guess it is random
  3. No problem for my He with shroud they are dead in 10 seconds... it is funny watch them kill the spiders This is me in front with a unique star I found :
  4. I am going there and hope within 20 seconds I can kill them (which I do that already with HE and all bosses in Gold (I am at level 50 where boss spawn at 60 )
  5. If they were in a hurry to make the console games, then most of the bugs will have been transfer there. Of course, some of which they were fixed in PC version meanwhile, will not be there. But, the bugs we found in 2.4 and beyond will be still in consoles. For me, the time is 1-year not 3-months.
  6. I have post the bug, but only for the combos that do not need an enemy to be casted. For example the Nova in your combo should always be executed. But, if you had there archangel's wrath as 2nd in the combo, then if you executed on free area and not on enemy it won't be casted. And if the enemy dies, with the Radian Pillar (1st in combo) then again combo stops, because there is no enemy for the wrath to be executed. Yes, I have seen also that when I am not moving or attacking the 2nd (area - not on enemy) combo will be mostly executed.
  7. Spell intensity can be enhanced by attribute Intelligence, rings, amulets. Lower enemy resistance? By weaken? I am not sure, but either way seems you have a little ways to do what Feel Cold does.
  8. ^^ No extra ram is needed. Leaving application earlier, will reduce the possibility to crash. But after all, it is a possibility, meaning that it might crash within 10 min or within 10 hours! In order to increase performance, replace you ram with faster or overclock/tweak timings & latency of the (already enough) 4GB. For me, since the Sacred 2 consumes 500-600 MB + adding 200-300 MB for the OS, there you have ~1.1GB minimum requirement for the game to run smooth. So 2GB for example are high enough. You have 4GB (like me). Another performance factor will be a faster Hard Disk, Raid 0 or SSD for example More ram is only useful if running multiple instances of Sacred2 in your machine!
  9. The same behavior will be on 64-bit. Allowing OS to recognize all of our 4GB, does not mean that the game will consume additional memory. The only thing that might help is the per-application memory allowed. So, if the Sacred 2 COULD break the 2GB barrier then yes 64-bit can give you a headroom. Memory leak you have when you are not freeing ram , as you might know. This is happen on C++ for example, Java is better has the garbage collector. Invalid memory access you have by bad programming which is the case of Sacred 2. That means when you free the memory, before checking if someone needs it. And when he needs it -> boom. If the game consumed enough memory, then you would have the windows warning with exclamation (cannot remember the message). There are applications that can detect invalid memory address (at least on Linux where I am working on). The optimizers just un-cash the memory that OS has given to the lately used but now closed processes. But, I think that freeing the cached memory is not working as I wrote at previous post about removing the invalid memory. The OS though does that when the application exits, frees the memory and stop any future access to invalid memory (pointers). So, a workaround is to exit the game more often during playing time. But running the game for a long time, will multiply the possibility of memory invalid accesses/leaks. A certain code path though will produce the crash. It might not happen for hours...
  10. Instead of this maybe you could use a run optimizer program (such as the one from the Tune-Up Utilities 2009 package), which find the 'orphan/invalid' memory pointers and 'clean' them. After playing sacred 2, do you see any increment in memory reserved in application? I am not, it stays at 400-500 MB, and I have total of 3.25GB (32-bit XP limitation, 2.75 unused for Sacred) The crash is by writing on invalid data area, most of the times. There is a limit on memory reserved per application at least on XP < 2GB. That means that no matter you have xGB of ram , the crash will occur at 2GB used by Sacred. Though, in my opinion it may need days to consume 2GB. So, either way, no ... but you can eliminating the crashes, by removing the invalid memory often
  11. Yesterday I installed Elite too (Windows XP - 32bit). My rig is overclocked: E8400@4050MHz + 4GB DDR2 @ 1080MHz + 8800GT 512MB(default) Analysis is 1280x1024. I have all set to max, except no grass and no AA. I have a frame drop in cities with the Elite more than before. But in-battle it is not noticing. I think I am gonna switch off also shadows, because in dungeon and by night I have also drop. For me, I vote for Elite. Cannot go easily back. Since AA does a grater frame drop than elite .... I am more than happy , my improving graphics. P.S. I should find the max framerate setting ... I am capped at 60 though some have lower this to 45 for overheating issues
  12. Clear ... so speed lore it is for my SW (I will drop Toughness)
  13. So, you are saying that +attack of the strength is not the same with +attack from dexterity? The attack rating is the attack value ... or not? I was confused in here.
  14. @Dobri, is Speed Lore the same with adding Strength + Dexterity attributes? Does not benefit a ranged Dryad BFG from Speed Lore?
  15. Off Topic : ^^ lol I have at closed.net Ice and Excalibran The dilemma in my DW builds is that I can use Toughness,Combat Discipline or Spell Resistance instead of Hafted/Sword Skill. And if I use them, (and maybe you have answer to that) should I put in there hard points? Because, if I should then I do prefer on stay without the skill.
  16. ^^ what previous both said. Look here: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?sh...15&hl=build Skills 1)Concentration 2)Tactics Lore 3)Death Warrior Focus 4)Malevolent Champion Focus 5)Constitution 6)Dual Wield 7)Armor Lore 8)Combat Reflexes Optional 9-10: I would suggest: Combat Discipline,Speed Lore,Toughness,Hafted Weapons Combat Art 1: Scything Sweep Combat Art 2: Demonic Blow Combat Art 3: Rousing Command Combo 4: Killing Spree + Augmenting Guidon P.S. 1)Speed Lore is a mystery to me, I may try it though in my builds 2)Hafted weapons are suggested (with only one point on them), so as to benefit from the modifiers. Though, I am not 100% sure if it is really worth it, since you could find uniques Hafted with no modifiers. So, if you do not want to experiment go for Combat Discipline + Toughness
  17. You should go on invisible with 2nd buff on Astral Aspect, because you took Astral Lore. You took tactics lore, which is not useful with this build. So, concentration for sure and ancient magic since you attack with Astral CAs. If you can rollback tactics lore, do it. Take Toughness,Spell Resistance for example.
  18. I am a big fun of main quest, because following it, except for the bosses I will kill, it involves the main road path where most mobs are. If doing side quests, I have to walk a lot sometimes in order to kill. So, I find it to level up quickly by doing main quest. Also, it is a real - all around - test of your character, that he can kill with ease all kind of enemies. It will be boring for example to always spawn to swamps where are many enemies and gain XP, but you know there you are only good for undead and have a good poison defense.
  19. Let's do our math Here are the weapons: Here are 3 images: 1st with both weapons equipped and 2nd,3rd with the magic one and the fire one respectively And here is when I socketed the 2nd with magic (Weapon base damage) instead of fire
  20. Xm... I think it should have a penalty, if someone sockets to a different type of damage. That is, if I had fire and I put fire conversion, then I should have the sum. Else, subtract the fire %, keep the burn effect and convert the remaining physical. In this scenario, if I have Dual Wield, with 2 weapons doing fire, ice, magic, poison by default, I could have keep all types of damage, but have only boost further the 2. I think we are saying the same thing? P.S. As it is now, it is the same to convert a plain physical weapon with a weapon with 2 additional elemental damages ! , but I have to do maths again ... if it is is an issue...
  21. I like maths though ... so I sometimes like to analyze without loosing my interest... Off topic: Yesterday, due to the non-removed blacksmith arts issue, I attempted to sell a unique sword (saber). It sold by 60000 and it wanted 400000 to be bought! I did not have the money They should fix the non-removal or at least put it in blacksmith skill (fortunately my TG can handle)
  22. Well, not exactly. It is divided by 2 now, because they have the same physical damage. If the second weapon had 200 damage then the total physical damage would be 300 and then the chance will drop further: For a 30% on a 200 damage weapon to ~3%. Remember previously: 100/30 damage => 10% burn (1 weapon alone) 200/30 damage => 5% burn (2 weapons of 100 damage) Now 300/30 damage=> 3.3% burn (1 weapon 100 + 1 weapon 200) If you take out the lava from the 100-damage weapon and put it to the 200-damage you should see another % I suppose, because now with a 30% converter ON 200-damage will get you to 60 fire and if I am good at math: 300/60 => 6.6% burn I will examine that later, after work, but that is how I understood it works or it is supposed to work in my opinion. The burn % are not accurate but I want to show the analogy only.
