  1. I think if you start at Dragonmaw Pass and head down the hill it is the first place on the right, a bit less than half way to Clearview.
  2. When I try to kill the Ice Phoenix (Crystal Plains) with my High Elf everything goes well until I start to attack the Phoenix itself. I clear away its Ice Guardians, destroy the four statues (I read they are life leech?) but then disaster. I play hit and run, a couple of shots with Cobalt Strike / Glacial Thorns Combo (regen is a bit faster than animation) then run a bit before the next shot. The Phoenix casts some kind of spell which drags me across the ground until I am standing at his feet. When I get to his feet I cannot move, my only answer so far is to teleport out because not even CAs work. Am I frozen, trapped or is it a bug? Any ideas what I should do? I will keep trying and hope to avoid the spell which drags me to his feet but this thing is driving me crazy so any comments very much appreciated. Edit: Funny thing, the first time I tried again after posting I killed it. Here is how, maybe it will help someone else. Sort of a mini guide if you like. When you reach the square platform where the Phoenix is take note of the Frost Guardians all around him, at this point they look like ice sculptures. Talk to the Phoenix and the fight begins. It casts something like Meteor Storm but is ice falling from the sky rather than fire which is followed a few seconds later by a Dragon Strike which is similar to that of the Dragon Mage but causes ice damage, they appear to be a combo. Run and don't stop! Don't attack the Phoenix, as far as I could tell at this point he is invulnerable. Around him are four Phoenix Statues which appear to be made of ice, you must destroy them first. Run around just close enough for him to see you and some of his Guardians will "thaw out" and can be killed. Now you will see a new red target on the radar which is one of the ice statues. Destroy the statue and more Guardians will "thaw out", kill them. Now the second statue becomes a target, kill it and more guardians then repeat for all four statues (they are easy to kill). Two of the Phoenix Statues are behind him but look carefully and you can tell when the next Statue is ready to be attacked. Now the Phoenix should be alone. More about his CAs. The Ice Shower (IS) causes heavy recurring damage. The Dragon Strike (DS) does the same. Stand still for 10 seconds and he will hit you with both which will mean a fast death unless you bang like crazy on your spacebar so don't stand still. He will also create traps, if you are there for a long time the ground will be full of them. He has a CA which pulls you towards him and freezes you (the freezing thing could be a bug), with my High Elf I managed to escape them on my last attempt by trying to run in the opposite direction and/or using Shadowstep both seem to work as long as you are not close to him, if you get stuck at his feet he will hit you repeatedly with his CAs. My experience, as I said in my first post, was that if I was dragged to his feet I could not move or use any of my CAs, although I escaped by teleporting out rather than watch myself die, after my teleport I was still unable to move or use a CA so I had to relog before trying again. After many attempts, all of which ended up with escaping by teleport to Multiplayer Island, I accidentally fired off Glacial Thorns while standing behind a small wall where he was out of sight / off screen and to my surprise I heard the sound of them hitting him. I still had to keep moving to avoid his IS and DS but stayed just out of range of his "pull" spell, at the same time shotting off Glacial Thorns. For those who might not know Cobalt Strike needs a target but Glacial Thorns does not so by not using my combo I could hit him while he was off screen. With the four Phoenix Statues gone and the Frost Guardians dead he died very quickly. He has four types of armour protection but none against Ice. Damage shows as Normal and Magic but I am pretty sure his CAs are ice damage. When I had the problem of being stuck at his feet I didn't see any noticeable physical damage coming from him. I took some screenshots of the damge types HP etc of the Ice Phoenix (Narmul), some Frost Guardians and one of the Phoenix Statues which I will add here tomorrow when I am less tired if anyone wants to see them.
  3. Coulñdn't see the answer to this anywhere so sorry for my late night blindness if I have missed it Regen per hit + ?.? Does that apply only to melee hits? For example, if I am using an Ice Elf does that count as a hit or must I actually hit something with my weapon? Delete this thread if you like. 30 seconds later I found this .... http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16749
  4. Level 12 from memory so just starting out but not new to the game, because I would normally play LAN so he is my only character on Closednet. Shadow Warrior (light) called Gordius Serek. Yes, HC Someone from D.a.r.k was kind enough to take me to "developers corner" south of the swamp which got me to level 5, picked up some dropped gear, had a gift of even more gear and earned a lot of money. Now I will slowly grind anmd run just a few quests to Gold, I'm not a fan of power levelling so like to do it at my own pace so will take a while but the quick jump to level 5 was nice. Currently massacaring kobolds.
  5. Greyed out will mean either it was higher difficulty or full. we'll keep an I out for ya If your character was loco last night your already on my list
  6. Not a bad build. Loads of health potions you are carrying so I suppose you don't use them a lot, nice. A few suggestions / comments. - If possible get Dual Wield to character level and keep it there, speeds up attack and boosts damage which helps a lot. - Sword weapons. By choosing to specialise in one type of weapon you have unlocked the bonuses which is a good thing but make it a low priority for points. The important thing is unlocking the bonuses. - E Perception (EP) and Bargaining. Focus on one not both and you will get the rewards you are looking for. You can read about what they are both doing over at the SacredWiki and find good advice re both here and at the Sacred 2 Official Forum (sorry don't have time to find you direct links to best posts). - Pelting Strikes is, in my opinion, a bit low. If you find a "regen per hit" ring wear or socket it. The regen refers to that of your Combat Arts not Health. One or two of those and all of your CAs will regen very quickly if you are using Pelting Strikes (PS) a lot. You mentioned you are new so if you didn't realise, by socketing a Rune instead of right-clicking it the regen penalty is a lot lower so maybe you could try to do that rather than reading them. With those things I easily keep the regen for PS below 2 secs so I can use that Combat Art without ever needing to hit with the left click. - Hallowed restoration and Divine Protection work very well together in a Combo, great for use as a panic button. You might want to try it. Frees up a skill slot too. If it was my character I would be putting a minimum of one point into EP at every level, better two points, a minimum of 2 points into Dual Wield and maybe 1 point into Exalted Warrior Focus at every level. However if she is hitting hard and staying healthy as things are so you aren't too sure where to put points then 1 into EP + 1 to Dual Wield and save the rest of your points for when you figure out where her weakest points are. A long list of suggested weapons etc has been posted and EP will certainly help you to find what you are looking for.
  7. Just noticed this post. Exploring is my middle name right now so I'll watch out for more replies. I have an unused MOD so maybe I can buff Shadow Veall before I go there, seems one way to avoid combat. Maybe running, for example, a level 60 through there in bronze might help but I suppose it depends on how you approach the idea of mapping, I prefer to map while having to fight my way through. Without wanting to stray off topic ... about the bug. If I one hit something for 10000 damage and the beastie's HP is 5000 would it reflect only 5000 or 10000?
  8. I haven't had a lot of free time but I have started to add D.a.r.k. players to buddies, I hope that is OK. So, if you see a character with Gordius at the start of the name it's only me trying to get to know you If it is the account name that adds the buddies my account is mirrewa. BTW I was a level 12 SW but unable to join a D.a.r.k. server tonight because it was greyed out. I have quit for the night but it occured to me maybe the server was set to Max 3, invite only or something because of the clan party? Wasn't the light/dark path thing.
  9. They do heal but so slowly you would have to wait for this one maybe 10 minutes or so. Sounds like life leech but I will be interested to find out what the rest have to say. Did you go for coffee or something?
  10. Sorry about using the [D.a.r.k] tag. I expect to apply but will put that character on ice until I am sure of what is happening, he is still only level 2 so no problem there, and start up another to play with called Gordius Something. I am and will be HC on Closednet. Until now most of my characters have been SC but I haven't died for so long I might as well stick to HC. I am busy grinding a High Elf on LAN right now (I hope this ALT TAB hasn't killed her ) and just outside the Grunwald Dragon's cave. After finishing off the Dragon I'll switch over to Closednet and see who is around. Re the Spanish thing. Sorry, I am English and my Spanish is terrible but I will say Hola if I see you, Munera, I understand more than I can say. EDIT: Died after two shots so off to the servers A big thanks to Munera for getting me started.
  11. Done. Shadow Warrior, Gordius [D.a.r.k] Sarak. Just enough time to get him to level 2 before I had to logoff.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I play Ice and Blood. I do not use the CM Patch/MOD but could be persuaded to depending upon what I find online.
  13. I have playing LAN for a couple of years now but I am thinking about spending time in Closed Net, hoping to meet up with some of you guys online but also because I seem to be spending more and more time playing alone (busy LAN partner, wife). Because I live in Spain in the distant past I played on the es servers but I have two copies of the game so no problem joining in on the eu servers, I use customoptions to access es at the moment. Before starting off I thought of asking what you think might be the best character to choose. If servers (thinking of Darkmatters mostly) tend to have a majority of Shadow Warrior characters but a lack of Seraphims, for example, I could create a Seraphim or whatever because I think it might be a good idea to play with a mixture of character types rather than have an army of Shadow Warriors. Any suggestions re my choice of character, exclude Temple Guardians (I have an allergy to robots) and Dryads (I die too often when I try them). Because my wife will only play magic based characters I have, until now, concentrated on the SW and Seraphim to help out when she gets in trouble but I have tried out the others alone (HE only once).
  14. 1 - De nada 2 - Yes and yes to the first two points. 3rd, if the character who is "lower" than the other in the main quest than you makes the game then the higher (your) characters progress will not be saved. If you want to do that just write down where in the game the first character is then go into a game with your friend and wait until you are at same place. 3 - If a player has already done a quest he can repeat it if the player who creates the game has not yet done that quest. 4 - CTRL then click on the cute pic top left of your screen of the other character. I suggest you spend some time looking at the SacredWiki. If I remember correctly most of these things are described there. Feel free to post questions though of course
  15. First let me say I only play using the LAN, with my wife sitting beside me. Assuming two new characters both of which have been created through Multiplayer - LAN (Single Player Characters can be played on the LAN but Quest Progress will not be saved). 1 - When one Player takes a side quest it is given to both characters. 2 - The side quest is completed or updated for both characters as long as they are both logged in. Note that both players must be close to the NPC to get the reward! 3 - Main Quests (storyline). If you both start together then same as above, one player updates main quest and both character logs get updated. Main Quest Progress is not saved if characters are in different places in the storyline. For example, if player 1 logs in and talks to an NPC from the storyline then later player 2 logs in then quest progress (including side quests) is not saved for player 2, you must either both be logged in before talking to that NPC or player 2 must create a seperate game, talk to the NPC so progress is the same then Player 2 then can join Player 1's game and progress will be updated/saved. You said your friend was told his quest progress would not be saved, that is because you did something on the main storyline before he joined your game. The first part is called "Multiplayer Campaign!" and is completed by teleporting to Sloeford from Multiplayer Island. To fix that he would only need to create his own game, go to Sloeford, quit and join your game, if you spoke to the first main NPC he must do the same in his own game too. The available quests (in the log or waiting to be taken) come from the log of the person who created the game. We find things can sometimes get messed up so we only take or carry out any part of a quest when we are both logged into the same game. Levels don't matter at all. Just remember that the levels of the beasties you fight depends upon who enters an area first. The other day I was playing alone with a level 61 Seraphim, I had gone back to kill one of the minibosses (Grunwald Dragon), my wife had just created a new High Elf. She teleported in with the level 1 character beside me while I was in the cave and watched/hid while I killed the dragon so she got a pile of experience. Last night I joined her level 35ish High Elf with my level 28 High Elf, we spent a couple of hours grinding together, neither of us died and I got more experience than I would have alone because we were fighting against level 35+ beasties I did use a few more potions than I would have had I played alone but we had fun so .... One last thing. The way we play is that we are often in seperate games grinding to level 60, when we get to level 60 we stop playing with that character. Later (can be a long time later sometimes) we both start the Gold difficulty at the same time. When we play I always create the game so we can be 100% certain we both keep the same quest logs and progress is always saved. I think I have got everything right. Sometimes, like now, I write too much and confuse myself
  16. I was interested by this thread so a few weeks ago I spent a morning editing one of the script files trying to change the Seraphim Mount so that it had the appearance etc of the Dragon Mage Mount. I wanted both mounts to use the same model, textures, anims, etc. Because I wanted to have the same mount appearance for both characters I was copy\pasting the text referencing the models, textures and anims from the Dragon Mage Mounts' entries to the Seraphim Mounts' entries rather than changing any IDs. When I tried to load a Seraphim in the game it crashed. I could load any other character type including the Dragon Mage. This morning I tried to make another attempt. I cannot remember exactly which file(s) I edited but when I look today I cannot find the file(s) I need to edit, I have looked at all script files I can find so maybe I am going blind or something So, sorry I cannot tell you exactly which files I tried editing on my first attempt. Has anyone got any suggestions regarding what I should do in order to have two or more character types riding what looks like the Dragon Mage Mount?
  17. My experiences are: Orpheus quest characters. The old guy with a beard who wants to perform a ritual, quest starts East across the bridge from Twainbrook. All children (example Runemaster's Soni) and animals (examples the bear in the relic tutorial and the kitten from the quest in the corn circles) are invulnerable. Watch out for the "relic" bear you can't return him after you cross into the human Lands and he chances from a baby bear to an adult bear. All NPCs who travel with you as part of the main quest line (example the orc who turns off the water so you can kill the octopus thingy). All male characters and adult animals will try to kill for you, they aren't too good at that except for the guy near Twainbrook, the Orpheus guy and the orc who turns off the water. I cannot remember how but it is possible to mod the game so noone dies, noone aggroes and noone tries to kill. As far as I can tell they do not level up. I recently tried to collect as many as possible but returned them all after trying to pick up the kid who is lost close to Sonnenwind because there is cap on the max number of NPCs you can take with you, from memory I think the max is six. I was playing a Seraphim called Mary Poppins. My wife usually picks up and keeps the guy from close to Twainbrook as soon as possible in the game and keeps him until late in Act 1, she refuses to even try the relic quest because she thinks killing Mummy Bear is really really nasty!
  18. A general remark I would like to make on the subject of writing builds, hope this is the best place to post it. I read a lot of them for inspiration and sometimes I follow a build guide pretty closely. Sometimes I want to print the guide. Some guides, with lots of pictures and videos are not so easy to read when printed. It would certainly help me if there was a short, printable summary of the build at the end of the guide. For example list of skills chosen and points allocated, CA Mods chosen, attribute points allocated and so on. At the moment I find myself copy/pasting from the web page and doing exactly that myself, basically trying to get most of the info given by the writer onto a single page so that I can have it on the desk beside my PC and refer to it quickly. Summary: any chance of a printable version?
  19. I remember mine too well ... read on to find out why. She was a Seraphim. I bought two copies of the game, in Spanish, for Christmas 2008 because my wife wanted a break from Diablo 2 (LOD). She was going to buy WOW but no way was I going to play that thing so I figured the best thing to do was buy a game I thought I would enjoy. I found the patches same day, must have been about v2.34 I think. I was just looking through a folder I have called "Sacred 2 Archive" and found files for every type of character dated December 30th 2008, I suppose we looked at all of them as you do. I copied the files into the game a few minutes ago and AMAAAAAAZING. Six characters, Single Player. None have names the Seraphim was called Seraphim, Shadow Warrior was called Shadow Warrior and so on. I remember that well, took a few days to notice the place where I could give them real names Every character I found is level 200, has learned no CAs and no skills. Maybe no Attribute points have been allocated. WHAT A BUG! The chest is a mess with low level items. So, now I have six characters in Niobium all ready for build testing, assuming I can get any Niobium gear. I do know that the first character I played for anything more than a day was a Seraphim, called Seraphim. I read every Rune I found and sold those not for her so her regen times were a bit slow. Because at that time I could speak only enough Spanish to ask for a beer and cigarettes I understood almost nothing of what CAs or skills did. My wife was a bit confused but refusing to RTFM (normal) so what she said to me was an attempt at direct translation which didn't help at all. She died a lot (the Seraphim not my wife). All I did was run to the first resurrection point and then ran around killing some things, took ages to find Sloeford. Needless to say that it wasn't long before I was on the phone telling my son in England to buy an english copy and send it to me.
  20. Sarak has zero deaths at level 78, uses almost no health potions and perhaps most importantly is fun to play. I decided to post not to show-off a great build but because I find him to be fun to play with. Comments welcomed of course. He exists for one reason, to explore as much of the map as possible. That can get pretty boring so I quest on the way (a few parts of the map can only be visited as part of a quest, for example the Gost Village, so of course I would have had to do those anyway). I decided that because he is going literally everywhere I might as well choose Perception for the first time ever, after all he will have more than the usual opportunities to find some decent gear along the way. I am not a newcomer to dying so because I had reached Gold with no deaths I decided that I would put more effort into survivability than I had so far. He always travels alone because exploring can be a boring thing to watch. Attributes I am not always sure what to do with them. At the beginning I shared between Strength and Vitality, mostly Vitality. At about level 30, because he wasn't taking much damage I started to concentrate on Strength with only an occasional point in Vitality. Skills so far Tactics Lore 75, 81 with gear Armor Lore 45, 57 with gear Astral Lord Lore 31, 41 with gear Hafted Weapons 23, 29 with gear Malevolent Champion Focus 29, 39 with gear Riding 6, 12 with gear Enhanced Perception 75, 87 with gear Concentration 10, 16 with gear Constitution 16, 28 with gear 10th Skill choice left empty until later. Tactics and Armor Lore were an easy choice, I always go for those two. Armor for bonuses and to reduce the regen penalties. This build does not have Death Warrior Skills so Tactics allows me to mod Death Warrior Combat Arts, this skill is also a great asset to any melee character. Astral Lord Lore. I'm still not sure if that was the best choice. At the time I wanted to unlock the Shadow Buff, I figured that by being invisible I could explore some of the more difficult places without having to fight/die but now, because he is surviving so well I don't think I will need that Buff so I stopped adding points there after modding Skeletal Fortification. Hafted Weapons. Chosen because I like using Two-handed Hafted Weapons and figured it would be a good idea to unlock the bonuses and increase attack speed. Malevolent Champion Focus. My favourite Shadow Warrior Combat Arts are Frenzied Rampage and Reflective Emanation. I wanted to be able to mod and spam, Frenzied Rampage now regens at less than 3 seconds so I can use the CA for hitting without switching to anything else or having to use a normal blow (unless rooted). Riding. Chosen only to unlock Enhanced Perception. I wish now that I had chosen Alchemy because I never have before and it would be interesting to see if it is any good. Enhanced Perception. I am going everywhere so lots of opportunities to find decent gear along the way. I later found some +visibilty gear which needs EP Mastery so I'm now glad of my choice here. Concentration. This was my first skill chosen to improve my survivability. I had been quite happy using only Reflective Emination but I decided to start using Grim Resilience as well for the life bonus so two buff slots were needed. Constitution. Survivability. With only 16 points I get +949 HP and +15.2% HP regen, with Grim Resilience at 23 that's a total of 10,057HP and if I include gear his HP regen is 238.4 per second. Skill 10. I will leave that empty for now because I am sure that later in the game I will need something extra but for now he is fine. Where to put my Skill Points? The truth is that I expected to get bored with exploring before finishing so I didn't plan far ahead. This is my first character using Perception so I wanted to master that to see what happens. Points went into Astral Lord Lore to mod for the shadow buff (remember I changed my mind about that mod), I started to find that Skeletal Fortification was helping a bit so I added more points there to mod that skill. I am enjoying him so much now that I am planning things a bit more carefully. His first mastery was Perception, second was Tactics. Perception not only to find good gear but also to unlock some +visibility gear. After that I chose Tactics because it was already at about 70 and I had 5 skill points so easy to master it. After Tactics I have no idea where I will put the rest of my points so I will start saving them, waiting to see what his main weaknesses are. I will put one or two points into Constitution and 1 into EP to keep it maxed at every level but that is all, I don't need it right now but I have read that Consitution helps a lot and it can't do any harm. Combat Arts Demonic Blow 3 Runes read, with gear 16. Modded for Wounding, Poisoning, Trauma. Grim Resilience. 5 Runes read, with gear 23. Modded for Fortify, Readiness, Safeguard Reflective Emanation. 3 Runes read, with gear 18. Modded for Backlash, Antimagic, Riposte Frenzied Rampage. 9 Runes read, with gear 32. Modded for Double Attack, Double Strike, Envenom. Almost the only attack skill I use, it regens before the end of the animation (about 3 seconds) so I can spam it. Beligerent Vault. 14 Runes read, with gear 27. Modded for Reach Augmenting Guidon. 5 Runes read, with gear 27. Modded for Ensign, Healing, Fear Spectral Hand. 7 Runes read, with gear 20. Modded for Clout Skeletal Fortification. 6 Runes read, with gear 19. Modded for Rapid Fire, Ice Shards, Scatter Shot Shadow Veil. 8 Runes read, with gear 21. Modded for Creep, Fade I use 1 Combo. Skeletal Fortification and Augmenting Guidon. I am considering using them outside of a Combo because I don't normally need Augmenting Guidon and it takes a couple of seconds to cast, time which often could be better spent fighting. I keep both of those CAs at the same regen time. I use Beligerent Vault when exploring to get to those places I can't reach any other way but that is all. Sometimes I switch it for Shadow Veil, cast my Combo and soften the beasties up a bit before I start hitting but that doesn't happen often. I have only just started to use Spectral Hand, maybe a day or two. I always thought it was not worth using but I decided to give it a go. So far I am impressed but I am not sure if I will keep using it. I read as few Runes as possible, balancing Regen times against damage. Instead I socket Runes and +CA items into my Armor, I have a few empty sockets available for that right now waiting to see which CA might need a boost. I am always trying to keep the regen time for Frenzied Rampage around the same as the length of the animation so I can spam it. Gear Infernal Torment, 3 piece set for the +visibilty bonus. The chestpiece gives 822 points of armor, great protection and a lot higher than anything else I have seen so far. Part set of Denderans Tactical Genius, 3 out of the 7 piece set giving +4 to all skills. The rest is from a few sets. I keep an eye open for gear that might boost my skills, CAs and/or visibility. I was lucky enough to get my hands on The Forbidden Punisher Hafted Weapon which gives +7 to all CAs and +7 to all Offensive Skills. I carry Kira's Wall (shield) along with Signet of Thunder (one handed hafted weapon). They have a total of 5 sockets, 1 in the shield and 4 in the weapon. I haven't had the weapon long and am considering socketing them both with only +visibility items for the edge of the map. I haven't struck a single blow with them yet but greater visibility along the edges of the map would increase my map reavealed. I would like to avoid using a shield so maybe I will socket a two-handed hammer for +visibility instead, dunno. Mount Level 101 with -33.3% regen on Malevolent Champion. He, she or it hasn't died yet either. Socketing A few +visibilty items along with Infernal Torment gives me +Visibility 88.8%. Other explorers might say that +88.8% is too low but for now it is enough allowing me to eliminate all of those grey spots we see in the middle of some wooded areas etc. I might decide to run along the edges of the map again someday with plus a few hundred percent visibility but for now I am content with +88.8%. It is not until Niobium that the best +visibility items are found so retracing my steps around the edges of the map can wait. The rest is standard stuff with +skills and +CAs high on the list. Gear and Weapon Attributes (unsocketed) Armor Infernal Torment Set (Sacred 2 same as Ice and Blood) Set Bonus (full set): Visibility range +26.7% Helmet of Infinite Torment level 82 Armor 132 Regeneration Penalty +4.0% Visibility range +22.2% Defense value +50 Diabolical Chestplate level 90 Armor 822 Regeneration Penalty +6.5% Chance to find valuables +14.1% Blazing Shoulders level 90 Armor 51 Regeneration Penalty +2.5% Stamina +10 Run Speed +10.1% Denderan's Tactical Genius (Ice and Blood) Set bonus (3 pieces): All Skills +4 Denderan's Reserve level 75 Armor 16 Regeneration Penalty -0.7% Stamina +17 Hitpoint Regeneration +15.0/s Denderan's Plans level 90 Armor 23 Regeneration Penalty -0.9% Damage mitigation:Physical +7.5% Augmenting Guidon +10 Defense Value +28.6% Denderan's Skirmish level 90 Armor 23 Regeneration Penalty -0.9% Chance to disregard armor +8.6% Frenzied Rampage +10 Attack Value +28.6% Executioner's Aids (Sacred 2 same as Ice and Blood) Legs of Justice level 90 Armor 48 Regeneration Penalty +1.2% Chance to evade +22.1% Defensive Skills +6 Run Speed +15.1% Armantin's Legacy (Sacred 2 same as Ice and Blood) Armantin's Elbow Protector level 90 Armor 53 Regeneration Penalty +1.2% Chance for critical hits +5.5% Grim Resilience +8 Chance to knock back opponents +9.1% Weapon The Forbidden Punisher level 90 (Ice and Blood only) Attack speed -22.7% Damage 261-401 All combat arts +7 Regeneration Time: -21.1% Offensive Skills +7 Normal Damage max 1548 CA (Frenzied Rampage) Damage max 2798 and 122.0% Execution Speed I usually hit for over more than 7500 but I have seen around the 9000 mark quite a lot. Notes I said I was enjoying this character. He can kill everything very quickly without needing to take any potions despite the fact that his Survival Bonus is high enough to put him up against level 92/93 opponents, perhaps the best defence is a good offense but I think the mixture of the two is OK, mostly they die with one or two hits so a small group can go with one click of Frenzied Rampage. He regenerates his health per hit a tiny bit and has a fast health regen between fights so if I get hurt at all I tend to get back to full health before I meet the next mob. The only time I can remember taking any potions in Gold was a few at the start, a few against a huge mob of spiders east of Skook's Corner and a couple fighting the Grunwald Dragon. He has just about finished exploring Artamark and is at 54.2% Map Revealed. Normally I fight alongside my wife and we die from time to time but alone with this guy I don't die at all ... nice. I suppose the thing I like most is not needing to be very cautious while running around the map, I can relax a lot more than usual. Just one thing about +visibility which I have always ignored until this character. It is more useful that I expected for reasons other than Exploration. I now have my radar zoomed out more than I used to and the bonus allows me to look for mobs which are further away than normal instead of running everywhere hoping I will bump into someone. I like that. What next? Where I go next with my build I don't know. I will try to keep Enhanced Perception maxed but otherwise, as I said, I am saving my skill points. Being rooted and unable to move is frustrating but not a problem yet, maybe thats a sign that I need more resistance against magic or something but I'll wait and see what happens (Spell Resistance might be my 10th skill). I have Demonic Blow fully modded so maybe I will mod Beligerent Vault the rest of the way, combo the two and try to kill bosses a bit faster but at the moment they die quickly enough using only Frenzied Rampage. I will not be choosing Combat Discipline, I tend to lose track of which skill is which when they hidden in a combo. A while ago I had Rousing Command and Killing Spree in a combo but I wasn't ever using it and neither are modded at all, maybe later I'll reconsider using that Combo and Mod both CAs. I like simple characters without a lot of CA swopping so Frenzied Rampage along with Augmenting Guidon + Skeletal Fortifaction with both buffs active suits my playstyle just fine and so far I have needed little else.
  21. Hello again. I am happy to spend time trying to find the answer to my question myself but I am new to MODing so I do not know where to start looking. Maybe someone could tell me if it is likely to be a script or a graphics file to edit/replace/rename. If you can help at all, even a clue I'll look for and try to do the rest. Trust me I have spent hours looking for a clue myself but wothout success. Thanks.
  22. Yes, it is called SAIO and here it is http://www.left4modz.com/forums/index.php?app=portal There is a movie on Youtube showing you how to use it here To MOD Sacred 2 you need the premium version, it's not free and I don't know the price.
  23. I would like to change the effect given to weapons after they have been socketed with a damage type modifier (for example Chunk of lava). I simply don't like having my character carrying a sword which looks like a burning stick or with green\white smoke pouring out of it, the effect after socketing with a Magic crystal is OK though. Is there some way of either removing the effect or replacing posion, fire and ice effects so they look like the magic crystal effect? I have looked at the scripts in C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\shared and the effects in C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\scripts\particle but couldn't find what I am looking for. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  24. Excuse me if this has been said before. If you mouse-over the skill before mastery it will say in red something like "Mastery Bonus gives god mode and noclip" or something like that. If you have mastery then there is nothing written in red, just your skill stats. It doesn't matter if you are wearing +gear or not, the red writing still disappears when you get it mastered. A fugure without gear on the skill panel would still be nice though, I have no idea how close I am to mastery on tactics right now simply because I am too lazy to get "naked".
  25. Redownloaded this a couple of days ago from here http://www.fileplanet.com/123603/120000/fi...eenshot-Manager to take shots of grave messages. Basically it saves either a jpg or bmp of whatever you can see every time you press PRT SCN (printscreen) to your specified folder. I found it worked better than Sacred2's screenshot grabber. Can be used to take screenshots of absolutely anything, even simply your windows desktop without the nuisance of copy/paste. It's free so I suggest you try it. Installation: Unzip to a folder, no setup etc. Make a shortcut somwhere or double-click ScrShotManager. Set your Preferences. That's all.
