  1. There's only an English translation. That goes for the compatibility patches too. The Dragon Mage has armored Draconicons, no other mounts.
  2. Of course. After all the trouble we went through to add the new ones into the CM Patch, I wouldn't turn around and remove them all. Some enemies even use them now.
  3. Charge lasts 90 seconds. You have to hold down the left mouse button and keep moving. Used like this, it can be used indefinitely, since there's no cooldown. If you stop moving, the Charge ends. I've been maintaining a list of everything I've been working on and everything I'm planning in the first post since I first started. But now I've done almost everything so there's only a few things left to do, listed as: (in progress). These are: adding the 3 mercenaries as hirelings, rewriting the character class quests for the new classes, and finally recreating the side quests from Diablo 2. Unless you have a mastery of the quest scripts in this game I don't think there's much you can help with. Right now testing the mod is the best help players can give me. Right now that seems like a lot of unnecessary extra work, especially since I'm already going to so much trouble to document everything in this thread and keep a table of contents in the first post. Maybe once the mod is complete.
  4. I tried very hard to make sure all the classes were balanced. Whenever I hear about a class that dominates (Sorceress with Fire Wall) I make sure it's not overpowered. The same goes for a combat art that's too weak. If it's useless to players then it's a flaw in the mod. But I can only test so much, I'm just one person, that's why I need player feedback to fine-tune the balance. For magic users a fire / lightning Sorceress is probably the easiest to use. For melee, a Barbarian specializing in Berserk Combat and Tactical Warfare would be unstoppable with the right skills. 2-handed weapons in this mod are generally much better than in normal Sacred 2.
  5. Since the Sacred 1 maps of Ancaria have been down for about 6 months, I decided to put up a note on the Wiki page with alternative links. SacredWiki's map page is still the entire first page of Googe results for a "Sacred Ancaria Maps" search so I think pretty much everyone looking for maps is coming to the Wiki page and getting broken links. This way at least they can be sent somewhere else with working maps.
  6. Shapeshifting skills are a bit special in that not much affects their power (just like in the normal game). If you want a more powerful werewolf or dragon, all you can do is level up the combat art and take modifications. There's really no downside so you might as well read as many runes as possible. The power also increases as your character level increases. Werewolf follows the same rules as Dragon Berserk. If you read that page you'll understand how they work. I can't fit all that information into a tooltip.
  7. I added Sacred 2 to the Nexus Mods network and today it was approved and the new site is live! I'm proud that DarkMatters has been my home base of operations for all my modding. It's connected me with some amazing and talented people. But, until Unbended is released to us, modding Sacred 1 and 2 remains the life blood of the franchise. That's why I want to expand the availability of the mods to as wide an audience as possible. Getting a Sacred 2 sub-site on the Nexus is a big step. Sacred 2 Nexus So far I've only uploaded the Character Editor and my mod Enhanced Spells. I plan to add all of my own mods and maybe some of the abandoned ones as well. I'd encourage any other mod authors out there, if you happen to read this, to add your own mods too. There is already a Sacred 1 Nexus with only one file uploaded so far (character editor). Maybe some more S1 mods can be added to improve the selection there too.
  8. Hi Alex. The game doesn't have a German translation right now (only English and French). So everything else should install and work fully on the German version, but the text will still be the same. I'd need a volunteer to translate the mod to German.
  9. I've been meaning to add these to the Wiki since the CM Patch debut with the Item Mod integrated. I added all the new uniques but I ran out of steam before I could get the sets added. Adding the blank pages in the right spots was the most I got done. I'm glad someone else is willing to do them. It would be most helpful if you followed the red links on this page to make the new pages. That way all existing instances of those links on the Wiki will turn blue and lead to the new page. You might be able to pull all the necessary pics out of links in this thread. We documented everything as we made it (stats pics, in-use screenshots).
  10. I'm super happy to say that with Pesmontis's help I was finally able to finish the remaining 3 god statues for the mod. Philios - refresh yourself on the lore of the first Paladin here Esu - pic added to the post about the first Sorceress here Bul-Kathos - read all about the first Barbarian here
  11. Well, yes CM Patch requires the expansion. I don't consider Ice and Blood a mod.
  12. My impression was that "original vanilla Sacred 2" as used by the OP meant "Sacred 2 without the CM Patch." I use the term myself when referring to Sacred 2 Gold vs the game with any mods.
  13. Item Update This update sees a lot of new bow designs added to the game Until now, Shortbows and Recurve Bows were under-represented, both in uniques and random items. I briefly mentioned some improvements to bows previously, and here I continue the work. Shortbows You can see on the shortbow wiki page there were only 3 shortbow models. In previous releases of the mod I expanded the random selection to include 3 more NPC shorbows (kobold, goblin, undead): Random shortbows now have another 3 possible models just added: And finally there are three D2 unique shortbows that join the lineup: Skystrike is a good bow for a storm Amazon or lightning Sorceress. The third, Lycander's Aim, is only usable by the Amazon. Recurve Bows There was only one lonely recurve bow model. I mentioned before that I re-classed Ettolrahc Notwen's Recurve Bow to actually be a recurve bow, and added its model to the random selection. Now 4 more models join the lineup: I also re-classified two longbows as recurve bows: this one and this one. There's no functional difference, just the names of randoms are different. Additionally, there are 3 new unique D2 recurve bows: Wizendraw is a caster's bow. Longbows Longbows got some love too. 2 new uniques and one random rare, plus Aarnum's bow gets LL% to make truly legendary. There's also another goblin bow that I had as a random shortbow but I made it a longbow instead. That about wraps up the project of expanding the weapon and shields selection of the game. There may be another design to pop up here and there, but I think now all weapon types are well-represented.
  14. Welcome aboard. Not only do my mods work with the CM Patch, they actually require it to be installed beforehand. This is because I build off of the CM Patch, which is indispensable in my eyes.
  15. Intelligence is increased. I just tested it the other day, not to mention you can see the increase from 80 to 97 in the picture you posted. The duration is the duration of the debuff to enemies. An enemy in the area of effect has lowered defense that lasts for ~10 seconds after leaving the area of effect. Without a duration parameter the debuffs would be permanent. That being said, Inner Sight got some changes for the next release anyway, since some of the modifications don't work currently.
  16. Oh, of course! Ancaria Airlines, a new quest added in the latest CM Patch. It sends you to locations that you'd otherwise be unable or unlikely to set foot on. I think that's just super neat idea. I'd been meaning to do a write-up for the Wiki.
  17. How'd you sneak a High Elf onto Dragon Mage Island? That place is forbidden except for students of Dragon Magic.
  18. Wolfie put together a nice little guided tour of some of the fine art in the Easter Eggs section.
  19. Elite Mounts Mod View File Somewhere in the world of Ancaria there is a priest who was destined to serve Gods in a remote location. He stays in his half-forgotten temple and rarely sees people except for hunters and travelling merchants who stop once in a while to make offerings to the Gods. This priest spends his free time breeding and training exotic creatures. Those rare times when he goes out of the temple, his pets usually follow him. He thinks that animals make good companions to lone travelers like him... and like you. This mod adds new special mounts for all 7 characters. They can be purchased from a new special mount dealer deep in the Jungle. Detailed information on all the variations in mount appearance and stats can be read about in this thread on DarkMatters forums. Each character gets 4 new special mounts, with the exception of the High Elf, who gets 7 new mounts. This mod requires the Ice and Blood expansion (or Sacred 2 Gold) and the latest Community Patch (1.50) to be installed beforehand. The CM Items Mod (optional) should be installed after the Community Patch but before anything else. Supported languages: English, French, German, Polish, Russian, and Spanish (Spanish requires download of an additional language patch). Installation (with no other mods installed): Download the Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler (GME) and install it to your Sacred 2 root folder (the main folder where Sacred 2 is installed). Mod Enabler is available HERE After running the GME once, it will make a folder called "MODS" there. Extract the contents of the rar file and copy the "Elite Mounts v1.10" folder into the "MODS" folder. Run the GME and enable Elite Mounts v1.10. It may take a moment to install. The GME will back up your clean files and will allow to you to easily enable/disable the mod as you wish. The mod also comes with compatibility patches for some of the more popular Sacred 2 mods. Use the Generic Mod Enabler to activate them in the order described below. Installation order if using other mods: Elite Mounts Mod Wardust's Serious Textures Mod (must be version from Sacred 2 Nexus) (ignore compatibility patch) Enhanced Spells Mod (+ optional Challenge Mode) or Survival Mod or Llama's CM Patch Mod (choose one, these three mods are not compatible with each other) Compatibility Patch for whichever mod you chose to install at step #3 (Llama Mod or Survival Mod ONLY, Enhanced Spells 1.3+ has built-in compatibility so no patch necessary). This mod is NOT compatible with: Sacred 2 undressed Mod 2016 (compatibility patch is available with the undressed Mod) Diablo 2 Fallen (mounts are already integrated) Any older mod not updated for CM Patch 1.50 This mod should work just fine with Fleet's undressed Skins, Reduced Fog, Przemba's Visual Mods, and any music/sound mod. 20. Yeah, Gronkor's Outlook. There's some good pictures on the Wiki page. I'd like to re-take some of them with the fog removed.
  21. The same dealer sells all of the new special mounts. The others for the High Elf are just listed after the dragons if you keep pressing the right arrow.
  22. Maybe the changes don't work as described. I never play on Bronze above level 10 or so. In Silver it does seem like the level caps aren't as bad though.
  23. It was always intended to be part of the CM Patch. I'll submit it on the bugtracker and see what they say. By rights there should be a quest beforehand, maybe Marcus can help with that. BTW the only hint I'm giving you is that the new special mount trader is in the Jungle. It's a small region.
  24. Item Update Sabers There's not a ton of unique sabers, and although there's no functional difference between sabers and longswords except for sound fx and the names of randoms, I thought I'd bring in some new saber models for D2 recreations. Djinn Slayer, Skewer of Krinitz, Hexfire, Coldsteel Eye Djinn Slayer has a modifier that lets you cut through an enemy's energy shield in a single hit. The fire and ice sabers will benefit a fire/ice Druid or Sorceress the most. 2-Handed Swords Continuing to beef up the selection of 2h swords, so that you might actually consider using them. Shadowfang, Cloudcrack, the Patriarch I wanted to make Cloudcrack have bonuses to Lightning Spells and Storm Combat, but neither the Sorceress nor Amazon can use 2h swords (can't overcome that), so I had to improvise. Other Swords New B@stardsword, Culwen's Point. Shortsword Kuan's Pride (briefly Bul-Kathos' Pride) has now become Rixot's Keen. Fistweapons The cool thing about these weapons is that they're not from some other game, they came from Sacred 2. These designs existed as essentially giant props, not usable as weapons until now. 4 uniques: Shadow Killer, Jade Talon, Firelizard's Talons, Natalya's Mark And three designs that can be found as random fist weapons:
