  1. I haven't voted as yet as even though I have played the game almost 1 year, I still haven't tried all the classes out to an extent that would make my vote fair. I would vote Shadow Warrior now but that is unfair, as its the only class I have played all year. Very soon I will have enough time to try the other classes out, getting to level 50 isn't what I mean either, I want to play them all and then decide who I like best. I never played a Dryad as I had played a WE in S1 and made a build that was later nerfed and I didn't want to be in that position again... but since expansion isn't for a while, I will try one and see what I have been missing out on.
  2. One problem with the formatting. It means the line below doesn't make any sense in the post:
  3. All I play is Shadow Warriors, and I have plenty of choice when it comes to items. Sure, my 1st SW didn't have much good gear but after a few, and keeping all my good drops, the rest have had it easier. Kill enough things and you will get the gear, though having a blacksmith helps. The one shopper I have made stopped at level 40, so he really just makes starting easier, after level 40 you start to get enough nice drops not to notice.
  4. This thread basically shows why the belt that look like a dress is about the best design a sw has to offer. Its not something I had considered before this post. All of them look bad to a degree but I hadn't noticed before. Sure, I can say they are kilts and live with it, as I have no choice... except delete all my Shadow Warriors but that is too drastic, even for me. I had originally meant to post that the Dendarins set belt is best in design, but that is what led to paragraph 1. The only problem with that belt is fact that if you wear it with other legs from other sets, they don't draw right. Thjis only happens with this set item, belts that look similar draw correctly. There are some good sets though. And enough rares not to need sets.
  5. Scribe bracers of Atherton is the only unique armour in game, so its impossible to make a set of uniques now. That is, apart from the Easter quest that Gogo mentioned.
  6. I did the same thing Gogo on the same boss, thinking it would be immune to poison (made sense given its name) and had to run away twice when 1st my ice and then my fire attacks did nothing. I thought he was bugged until I asked on SIF and was told use magic. He didn't survive the third encounter He is the only boss I have to use magic on, so I have to make special weapons for 1 boss.
  7. So you have to decide whether you want the unique gauntlets that are quest reward or let this guy live and see what is in box... this reminds me of an old tv show, but I digress. I always kill him, will have to remember to let him live next time.
  8. This is a known bug, restarting the game might bring him back but this quest gets broken easily. Just go do another quest, there are plenty around

    Lost

To make it more fun, there are in fact two quests in desert called Lost. 1 is the little girl outside scorpion den, the other is the Ogre who is standing next to a tree outside East Turbak. Spunky was right
  10. THat is the hill the Atherton ghost sends you too. I have never been able to open that chest either.
  11. I have noticed recently that the map for this quest at Wolf's Lair doesn't always load. Now I know it isn't associated with this site but is there any way of hosting a similar map as I have my doubts about how long this site will last - its been very hard to get all pictures on this page to load also. Do we have a write up of this quest?
  12. That seems strange, if you installed game to another partition, the patch should go there too, provided your registry knows game is there. Or does it open a temp directory on c to install from? As I have enough space on both partitions, I haven't a clue whats going on here.
  13. I suppose you don't have a spare hard drive in pc? I installed game to my 2nd drive and it still has 110gb free.
  14. I think difference is only about 10 quests, I was 148 at end of chapter 1; 299 at end of chapter 2. I think the main difference is 2nd region is bigger, so more spread out. They take longer in chapt 2 as there is more running around involved - the wedding quest comes to mind, as an example. Many of the quests completed in Chapter 2 are follow ons from chap 1. A long journey, the Northrend quests and the Easter quest all get counted as chapter 1 but are completed in chapter 2. Glad you noticed the maps, I was going to post a bump oh, and the unique mounts quest isn't on here as island is off the map but is included in chapter 2. When we get to orc region, the two miniboss quest circles only appear on the map when you are in the caves.
  15. Undead Legion You should look at the wiki, its attached to this forum.
  16. Blood Dryad sword can fall anywhere, it isn't specific. As for Lord Waynes, I haven't found one yet and have been playing since launch, so good luck There are only 3 unique swords I haven't found yet.
  17. My 3 fav skills are: Combat Discipline Concentration; and Toughness. This thread has enough evidence to show none of the skills are useless, they can all be used in builds, but for 99% of builds, some skills are less essential than others. For ever 3 mentioned as useless, there will be a corresponding post that says they aren't in certain circumstances.
  18. Thanks for the info!....but this guide isn't for PC. True, but pc was mentioned in title of post.
  19. The map location for the Grunwald Dragon is wrong. It points at the Banshee, not the actual dragon. I would edit it if: 1.) I had ever worked out how to get a close up of the map to work instead of just showing the full map - Anti trust tried to help me but the instructions don't seem to work anyway. and; 2.) My logon worked there. This seems strange to me, I can logon here easy enough yet the same password doesn't work for the wiki - I had assumed they would be same thing? Link to page: Grunwald Dragon
  20. Dark: Glad next zone is smaller.. actually, all are from here on. I can do close ups of griffinborough if you want?
  21. There is overlap on the maps but at least I don't miss any quests: Light: Maps kept printing wrong. Odd buffer problem.
  22. looks like they spent too much time animating it and not enough on the stats
  23. Why is there a guide to the unique mounts at bottom of this page: Uniques complete guide when there is also a link on that page to this page which is a more complete guide. Seems we got carried away there? Or maybe this paragraph just needs to be put elsewhere?
  24. Is it possible to add a movie link to wiki showing animations of weapons, I had no idea some actually moved. Even if it was just a display bug, the 1 socket is still odd. I would have thought it would have more but its impossible to test.
  25. Currently I am sick so I will do maps next time I feel like playing any games. Won't be that long, I just don't have the energy right now. Probably be next 2 days, I have been waiting for you to ask Oh, and just ignore my last post about number of quests in this area. I was wrong, I must have been thinking about my total at end of orc region. There are about 140 quests in Human region, I don't think I missed any - nice to know if I did. Looking at Griffinborough, it might get crowded on the scale it is. There are quite a few stages of quests in there.
