Hi there Well Knuckles, this is an amazing offer I couldn't neglect I do have one or two chars that need to be pushed to niob, the first char can already access gold, so that would be 2 runs only , gold and plat.. the other toon (in fact its from a friend) is in silver - maybe he could make it to gold alone soon enough... if not that would be 3 runs, silver gold plat .. they are on different accounts so gold and plat could be done together.... only thing is that I only have time to watch them this weekend, from the time im writing this till sunday night 24:00 GMT+1 .. maybe, you can throw me in for one or the other run ? if not it's no problem and ill ask again in about 3 weeks, by this time I will hopefully passed my last exams for this year, and ill also be able to take a few days off work.. btw, at least one of the chars is light mode, hope thats no problem.. so long, greetings RL

well, loooook who we've got heeere yepp, greetings dear buddies, recently I had my first Sacred 2 closed net HC experience.. I have to say, I am not really 'fully' back, just sort of.. you know, besides evening school and my new job I've got very little time left for my fav hobby (working in a large-scale catering establishment now, as one of the chef's right hand men... sort of... we do the cooking for meal on wheels delivery in our town - amongst other stuff) also, I still don't know if some day I might really 'like' sacred 2.. atm I'm kinda far away from 'loving' it in a way how I enjoyed playing s1+uw.. however, at least it is not the worst hack&slash ARPG I've ever tried so much for that.. tho, Sacred 2's online features rly suck, regarding lobby micro management and buddy list management etc.. also the user interface usability - what a phrase^^ - is very circuitous, when it comes to item micro management etc (dragging and dropping each rune at the combo master eg. is a real pain right in the a.. neck) besides Ascaron's consistency in implementing the same UI design flaws over and over again, they've also been as crazy and humorous when building the rest of ancaria's world and creatures.. I like their creativity and those tons of gags and easter-eggs.. so, maybe.. I'm still going to like it who knows? at least beeing able to meet u guys online again after -most of us?- have been absent for quite a while brings me a lil step closer to that goal so, last but not least the reason why I decided to leave a small note around here: How you can find Rotluchs online, if you can, must, dare, want or like to : too bad one can't search+add the player's account name anymore, one has to add each single char.. ouch. quite a Bummer! so, you may just browse for these keywords, as I'll try to always use at least one of them in my future charnames: Keywords for Rotluchs (bobcat) on HC+SC closed net: (DA) +[HoPE]+ Rotluchs bobcat Lynx Rufus greetings, Cu online, perhaps soon bob

are you asking for a specific period/era like the early 90's or just 'old' like what I played 1 day or month or year ago? I never had an amiga or comodore for example, although when I was a rly young boy I have seen some a few times.. they were still common for daily office-work back then however, I first started to play games when my bro got his first PC, I think an Intel P2 200Mhz or so..? later, I got my first PC too: an old Intel P 60 so my first, and now (some of them even back then already) 'old' games I can remember that I have played sometime in my youth, are: KKND2: Krossfire Age of Empires 1-2 Monkey Island 1-3 Myst Apache Longbow Heroes of Might and Magic 1-3 Need for Speed II SE (actually I played that on our family machine we got a bit later, a 'tuned' and a 'bit' faster AMD K6 Oc'ed @350Mhz with a Vodoo 3 2000 or so) Half Life Unreal I also played a nice bunch of DOS games which I just can't remember what their names were.. but I do remember my rly, very very first PC games I ever played: Minesweeper ..and Hoover, it was my very first '3D' game I have seen ; I think it was on the Win95 or '98 Install Disk.. there are tons of other 'old' or 'classic' games I have played since then, can't remember them all by now. also, I remember how excited I was back then, when I made my first experiences with this, a so called PC training my mouse-skills, by using MS Paint and such etc, besides my first games.. ah.. these days are long gone but never forgotten now. no game, no new PC could bring back those feelings, Sacred was the last one in early '04 where I just felt like 'wow' but alright, now I have to stop beeing nostalgic So long, greetings RL PS: since u asked for what old games I picked up recently: none... but now I feel like I want to (too bad I dont have most of them anymore)

I am desperatly looking for someone to help me kill-mule some mwis+mdex stuff from a level 35 gat (elite) back to normal.. has anyone still chars left in normal mode? (around charlvl 20-50) please post if you'd be willing to help me out, thx in advance. Greetings Rl

I for one am online on a regular, daily basis atm. quite frequently that is. I'm GMT+1 but have no preferred primetime so it varies. only timeframe I'm usually almost never (or hardly ever) online is ~ 6:00am - 11:00am whatever. you can add one of these chars to your friend list to see if and when I am online: (I have 2 level 50 chars and those I won't delete anymore. tho I totally screwed their crafting trees^^ that's why I play some fresh toons atm just for crafting purpose) My (old) Chars: Bobcat-D (level 50 pyro) Lynx-B (level 50 bldl) account name in Mythos doesn't work to find other players. what you need to find others and being found is always a character-name, once you add an existing charname, the player stays in friend list even if this char would be deleted or if he would play other/new toons. it's a bit circuitous and not totally intuitive, I hope this is just because it's a beta and that it will change at a later time PS: I see that around here there is not much interest regarding Mythos currently, but don't give up hope to see more of you around there again, once it goes into open beta. maybe then there will be a chance to get the subforums back (I still don't get it why they have been removed, there are other subforum with less hits+posts than the mythos threads.) whatever. I moved to some of the dedicated, Mythos related boards around the web and post more often on the official one lately. but still I won't forget the few players around here that still play as well. meaning I will try to let you know what's going on over there on a regular basis and post any fresh important news ones they surface..

as it might take a little while longer before Mythos goes open-beta, they have re-implemented a beta-signup form on the Homepage. If you want to participate but have no account yet you can leave your mail-addy there to be invited maybe. (they said on the forum even the old list from before z3 is quite long, so those might be invited first tho.. they will send loads of new invites out 'soon', because as open comes closer they want to really stress the servers first a few times more ) http://www.mythos.com/

HOW TO TRANSFER ITEMS FROM NORMAL MODE TO ELITE MODE (and vice versa) first some notes: I think it is a bug, but maybe it isnt - I dont know for sure. think of it as what you want to. careful in the shadow-world, it is Permanent-PvP everywhere even in town (provoke by pressing ctrl+attack player) for transfering items you will need a trusted partner that will kill your toon with the -to be muled item(s) in the shadow-world everybody can attack everyone, normal mode player Vs Elite Vs Hardcore and so on.. ---------------------- how it works in detail: Example, in short: Player 1 - Char 1 (normal) - Item X to be transferred to (elite) Player 1 - Char 2 (elite) - the elite char you want the item from char 1 normal mode muled to Player 2 - Char 3 (same mode as Char 2) - the partner that will kill Player 1 Char 1 harr Player 2 - Char 3 picks up item that dropped Player 2 - Char 3 sends item via mail to Player 1 Char 2 only if P2 C3 is in same mode as P1 C2 he can now send the item via the mail-system to any char in same mode as P2 C3 (attach it when in town/hub) Voila, thats it! you now have your normal item in elite mode ---------------------- keep your good -to be muled items DE-Equipped before entering shadow-lands portal, and only equip it right before your partner will kill you after you have found a place to meet where no one else is in u have to meet in the same instance (I recommend waypoints/hubs where hardly any player goes to normally so u dont run into too much strangers) town/waystation instances can now be switched on the fly quickly, it's selectable on the upper,right edge of your screen once you found each other in the shadow-world, make sure you have the item you want to be muled DE-Equipped when no one else is around except you and your friend you can EQUIP the item. (if you only want to mule one item, stay naked and only equip the to be muled stuff so it always will drop on first kill.. otherwise the piece dropped is random, like your shoulder instead your weapon) in shadow-world (NOT when dueling) a player drops a random piece of his currently equip stuff when he gets killed by another player (the player that stayed alive and killed you will always get your dropped item, no matter what game mode he or you is in.. elite,hc,normal etc...)

the 'crafting' items will be newly implemented and can be quite everything... mummy wrappings, spider legs, various 'monster' ingredients, or recycled weapons etc.. there once was a crafting system already back in the early alpha but it has been removed (cause it sucked and was bugged too much I believe) for infos about the zone 3 patch, or better- what the developers have been working on lately, I recommend: The New Almost-A-Blog Thread and for a detailed discussion about the upcoming crafting system: Let's talk about crafting there is no changelog for the upcoming zone 3 update, but I think once they get the build up and running smoothly enough we'll see it soon (as well as a download link for the client, which we all will have to re-download+install ..~90MB more than the old one) time is passing by, I think they're working on it very hard.. servers still offline, and if you read the official forum you'll see that a lot of people are going crazy currently. anyway, more information about zone 3 and the 'when' and 'what' is now dropping in frequently as hours pass by..: => Zone 3 PATCHNOTES greetings RL !YAY!! new client including zone 3 is now available for download and servers up and running again (more or less.. quite stressed, all people logging in simultaneusly etc..)

Hi there, soon my 2nd character, a BB Bldl will hit clvl 50. also, zone 3 maybe comes out next week already, and it might be that from then on zones will be gated by level (later maybe by quest) which means, this last few 'days' before the update might be the last chance to powerlvl new toons from level 1 to 15 very quickly on highlvl zivia maps. I am offering level 48-50 runs, so if you plan creating new toons let me know and we could set up some lvling sessions if anyone is interested. The new Homepage is up again, as for the forums (which never were really down, just the adress was changed) The Forum now also is open for public view (you can view posts even if not logged in) Invitation System is gone, you now can't use left over invites. the 2nd older one in german.. (Account Selector) is there a specific error-msg when it crashes? from what I can remember it can crash for example, when you havent created an account and launched sacred at least once in the first place (without the selector) then you have to type in the keys for one acc manually and start in closed for example; and after that and the updated changed settings.cfg file , you can normally use the Account Selector again. or maybe, somehow your accounts.cfg file is broken somehow (try to open and manually edit it maybe?)... it should be located in your sacred root folder as well could be that the accounts.cfg files interfer with some of all the other Selector-Versions you have tried by now.. maybe if you have reinstalled sacred sometime in the past, to a different place, some registry-entries changed and the Selector can't find it (but atm I dont know if the selector looks up the registry for the install location or if it just has to be in the same root folder as sacred has been installed to) Sry, atm I dont know anything else what might be going wrong.. edit: I just found a version of the (.net ?) SVAccountManager somewhere on my HD. its the one you can also use with sacred plus, and you can change the location where to look up for the settings.cfg. what I can't find at all atm, is a way to run sacred directly from it. I am only able to switch the accounts and save it back to the settings.cfg

all I can say is, it does work fine with the old(er) version of the AccountSelector , but it's in german. Nothing of this. ^^ It depands on your graphics card, if it can handle multiple fullscreen sessions. Some graphics cards can't do this. Works fine with my graphics card: nVidia GeForce 7800 Your right on the windowed mode. It allways works on windowed mode whatever your graphics card is. an ATI X850pro AGP , Single Monitor/Desktop ... (I prefer windowed over fullscreen anyway so I dont care that it doesn't work in fs for me anyway )

btw, about multi-instancing: only works in windowed mode right? in full screen mode I get an DX error when trying to launch it multiple times. is this specifically related to sacred somehow or to the characteristics of DX8? (eg. fraps doesnt work with sacred in windowed mode because dx8 windowed apps are unsupported)

Hi Rotluchs. This only works on Sacred Classic or with my unofficial 2.29 patch of course. Sacred Underworld don't loads the global.res. It is encrypted and packed into the sacred.exe. How ever, the unofficial 2.29 patch forces Sacred to load the global.res from the hard disk. Good think they shipped the global.res on underworld and even new versions with the official patches. my bad ^^ I forgot that back when I was posting it I think. but for now at the moment, it looks like as others will be finally able to try it out with 2.29 as well. or so, whatever. (if I should find my original english/UK copy of UW gold again I let u know ..in case u need/want it)
