  1. NPCs What would a RPG or Hack'n slash be without NPC. You all know these lil persons who love to give your stupid quests, crappy rewards and take all your money for items that are so powerful you won't need them 5 levels after buying them. Sacred has its NPCs, and they don't break the rule. Merchant This is probably the NPC you'll be giving most of your money and time. There are available in all populated towns, and even in some spots you won't even think you should find a merchant. For example, there is a hidden shop in the embalmed forest, as Night Wolfe explains on this page. The most popular ones are the Braverock twins (Bravemart - BMart merchants), and the richest by the way lol. How to reach BMart, follow this. As said in the item chapter, they don't sell everything, take a look here (new window) They can be located on the mini map according to this icon : <image to insert> They have this icon above us on the game screen also. Beware, when holding ALT, you see folks' mood, and sometimes you see a pouch like the merchant one. This dude is not a merchant. Stop harassing him ! 2. The World Sacred offers the players a huge seamless world called Ancaria. Full of citizen, shops, taverns and monsters. Ah , monsters, hero's everyday's delight ! This world is divided into several regions. Each of these offer a different landscape, from the Volcanic plateau, to the snowy mountains and from green valley to rocky desert. Maps There are a lot of maps of ancaria throughout the web. Here are links to some. Sacred Plus Map from the official site Regions The world is divided into regions. Each region has its own inhabitants, though some monsters can be found in many regions. Night Wolfe has already done an excellent job about regions on her site. Here is a link to the page. You'll find info about population, towns and region bosses. Caves Caves are numerous, and well known of the experienced Sacred player, as they are populated, generally, by interesting monsters, in matter of experience or drops. Another advantage of caves is that if you go out and in again, monsters respawn. This tip is not available in single player. Night Wolfe strikes again on this page. Dungeons Dungeons...dozens of floors to explore...thousands of monters to destroy...and millions of gold pieces to bring back to...the government...no...luckily, there's no tax in sacred, even if you'll notice that smithes, merchants and combo masters earn everyday enough to make every « fortunated » hero call his mummy and look for a job in a tavern ! Well about dungeons in Sacred. As a counterpart for taxes, there is no dungeon either ! Back to TOC - Next article

  4. Hey Night Wolfe Be sure I didn't miss your post about UW. Sorry not to have answered to it. I've already taken your text to insert into my guide Thank you for having done it for us. About the sets, you didn't think about it, but hey, we are a community of player, and a community of opinions. I thought about it for the only purpose to be shared with all of you. As far as I can tell, all your work follows the same path. You didn't think about it, now you can always think about giving it a go. And I know you also know how to do that My work is only to gather all I read and hear everywhere. If you want to put this idea on your site, feel free. The more the info spreads, the more we gather players Cheers Nihi
  5. Sorry, wrong type of ammo This gonna hurt
  6. January 16th 1978. Some years now, and it's not getting better Almost 2 years of the 70's. But I can't remember anything lol. But 80's were great
  7. Hey Zen, Welcome to the mad house Hope your app will be ok, hope you will resist us Cya
  8. Yes I also know some companies like that, but, most of time, it costs a fortune to get data back. Can't remember exactly, but one of my customer paid €1500 for data recovery, as far as I remember. That's a freaking huge amount. Cya
  9. Schot This is of great aid. As soon as I deal with the subjects you mentioned, I'll take your ideas into consideration Cya
  10. Got a remedy Preparation : 5 mn - Rhum (brown) - Lemon - Honey - Water Preparation : Warm the water During this time, squeeze half a lemon to get juice In a beer glass (big one, like a mug), put 2 teaspoon of honey, the lemon juice, and approx 5cl of rhum When the water starts to boil, pour it in the mug Drink as soon as the temperature allows you Drink it "Au pied du lit" (sitting on your bed), switch off the light and sleep. Prepare for a sweaty night (god I hate that) Goodbye Colds !
  11. How can you eat that kinda things lol I will never understand foreign cooking lol doesn't this look much better Boeuf Bourguignon
  12. Ouch Tim Sorry to hear that man. I'm with you. If this can help you get through your bad day, I recently crashed one of my customers' database. 4gig, that is 4 years of data lost. Worst upon the worst, the crash was due to... the backup utility !! God, I hate hot backups ! 1 month to restore all the records, log by log, retyping part of the data. Believe me, I know what losing data is. Get one on me
  13. Well I don't have any phobia relative to animals or bugs or any situation that touch me directly, but only a kind of paranoia about danger for the people I love. for example, I can't stand someone else from me is driving my son to any place. Even if I really trust this person. Maybe kind of educational problem, or a well hidden childish spark of memory. Don't know. However, I should call dangerophobia lol
  14. Sorry, the shower is currently in use (Well, I don't mind sharing the place )
  15. hungry as always (ferrets, fear the hungry giant )
  16. Today's thought : As I wake up in the morning, I think to myself : "This will be a dam good day !" As I fall asleep at night, I think : "Tomorrow will be better !"
  17. Enemies - Races You will meet many races of enemies throughout the World of Ancaria. Every enemy belong to a race that got some specific strengths and weakness. But variations can be found in a single race. No need to invent to wheel once again, Gogo says it all in his folio : You must read that !. Thinking about dragons, here is Night Wolfe's page about them. Back to TOC - Next article
  18. o'course I'm sleeping. To develop my guide, I must play sometime also, to check some points. Sorry the guide doesn't expand right now. But drafts files are on the way. And my monster guide will, I think rely on just one link : your fiend folio Gogo. As soon as I've taken my vamp to gold and my glad to silver (testing effects of DS, if it triggers other mods like OW, Crit, Gold drop and so on). The vamp idea (cheap vamp is aimed for the guide also, as an easy starting char for hardcore). I also want to give the reader a new presentation of the sets. We currently see items screenies, and that's all. I want to comment, for all set, which kind of build it is oriented to. If anyone wants to help Thanks to titi, forging me a lot of +mf dwarf arts, I can also try to find a good but easy explanation of the inner work of MF. I got files everywhere, somtimes ready to be uploaded to the guide, sometimes just filled with a sole word. What a mess on my USB Key lol. apart from that, I got something special coming for FDM members. But I must find someone to test it out with me, someone who can keep a secret Surprise. Back to work now Cya [EDIT] : 100 posts
  19. My Cota WE has done 60 out of her 65 lvls on Sacred Plus. This mostly dead fact was already here. I'm pretty sure of it. But maybe, like myles said, it's an add-on (but older than UW) to prevent lag-death. My 2 cents... and a half !
  20. HI I think, as Therion X proved in one of these movies, that a full poison Daemon could handle VOT with few problems. Assisted by tentacles, that's the big deal. Once my Poison daemon hit the 40s I'll give it a try in bronze. NOt the best test, but just to have a first overview of the zone. Anyway I tried it with my cota Wood elf, no need to say you must use a spell you can control in this area. The spirit were attacking small foes far from me, while 2 pods and big thingies were kicking my butt ! So as a general rule. No COTA style main attack ! Blazing disc is much more able to do the thing, as you can cast it multiple time. My 2 cents. Hope it helps Cya
  21. Hi there It happens to my cota wood elf very often. I think it's due to the fact that you're beat to death exactly when one of your attack drains enough life to keep you alive. The death process must be taken into account just before the drain process. I can say this happened to me at least once a day with my low level softcore druid WE. Little SB but big LL. I'm sure that, during the death pose, my life still goes up due to the LL of the COTA. I saw it happen also with my ROI/IS BM, hit to death by an orc champion walking in my roi, and back to battle. Didn't happen to my DS glad as DS does NOT LL. My glad took a trip to Haven isle. Sometimes, you're hit for more hit points than your attack drains at the exact same moment, and then, you're really dead. This is my 2 cents about it. Cya
  22. Sorry to tell you that Schot, but no dwarf item on my mules right now. But I made you a promise that the first Eros Helmet I put my hand on is for you, as well as any item that could pump up your forge lore. I'm going through the bellevue, silver creek and Porto vallum quests over and over ins ilver right now, and in gold after this. My rewards were crappy yeterday, but I will certainly got some Eros parts. I'll let you know.
