  1. Awesome, ty schot!. Uploaded the vid and just have to wait for the transcoding to finish About protection totem it adds 114 defence (level 2), thats 10 less dmg for each hit so instead of 500 they do 490 .... love this game

  4. To answer your questions gogo, I don't use faster totem anymore. Current DNA is fireball, flameshield, burninghell and soulexplosion. I traded the faster totem for burninghell though im not sure it was that wise now, but 100k for DNA change isn't gonna happen until next level of soul explosion. I'm craving for more HP so Dura Amulet with DNA might be the 5th DNA for me when I can spend skill points on it. Healing totem is max and does 15/2 heal and last 30 seconds, I still think its really good and use it all the time. And about peeps asking us we already had that, they cant believe how we can tank that many!! . Unfortunately also a really bad experience yesterday where a guy got really upset because he claimed that we were KSing his mobs when we collected needed mobs. He spent almost 1h ruining our pulls after this only attacking the mobs we pulled. We eventually gave up and moved elsewhere.
  5. Both enci and me just hit level 50 and with all new healing spells, Area of Effect dmg spells etc it was time to put all to a test. From the requiem forum we gathered that the healer-shaman combo was powerful but I couldnt even imagine the destructive power we now have!!. We are now effectively pulling 6-10 elite mobs at our level, 50-51, and here are some screenies with a little info Credits also goes to fellow forsaker zansuni and his post on main forum as cdanilo. He also put on a show for us on the server Also upladed a vid now where we pull 8 elite mobs doing the exact thing described below, there are 2 xvid vids one from my view and one from encis of the exact same pull: Shaman view Healer view. (No clue if I can embed it in the post btw) 1. Enci heads out to gather a large enough crowd. I cast protection totem aswell as 2 healing totems. 2. Enci pulled one group and goes after the second one. I prepare my firetotem and I cast that exactly when she turns towards me. 3. Enci is running for her life and I have casted fire totem and have burning hell spell on queue on one of the targets. 4. Enci now does her first sleep and starts healing me. I now uses Soul Explosion and start casting Hellfire. 5. Hellfire is in effect and I now have 5-6 seconds downtime where I pick a random target and spam fireballs on. Here is the critical point also if enci still has aggro or several mobs crit hit me so im ready drinking a potion if needed. 6. Soul Explosion is ready first so uses that and casts another fire totem. Picks a target with some health and casts Burning hell. Enci uses her second sleep and continues to heal. Finally if any mobs are left standing I use another soul explossion and fireballs to finish any adds or targets that are still alive. Enci has also joned in with her elec bolts for the final kills. 7. We collect the loot and see our experience bars move .... then we do it all over again Hellfire is still level 1 so at level 53 when I get level 2 this will be soooo more effective and easier. I will also then swap second burning hell for hellfire instead.

  8. Sacred was released in 2004 and no matter how good it is we all need breaks at some point - FDM and this forum is also soo more than just Sacred
  9. Shader 2.0 is part of DirectX I think, you might want to reinstall that or update to the latest version. Also "old" graphics card doesnt support this so that might be why also. Read more about it and see compatible cards here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_shader
  10. hey blood bane First a little info on us, we are a rather small guild, 11 ppl atm, its a very casual guild created mostly for us here at the forum to have fun together. We are not aiming to be a huge or hardcore guild thus we dont have applications, roll calls, raid signups, scheduled events etc - its just a place for us to hang out and chat and party together We are always on the lookout for more friendly people though and as gogo said just send us an ingame message so we can party up some to get to know each other. Ps, feel free to post on the forum also, we even have a bar here Ds.

  13. We had a really nice session yesterday where we farmed RoL for gear with great success - cant wait to party with you all again :D Members were stickem, nogood, diphda, enci and me Here are some screenshots
  14. This is a tough one, havent really decided what I prefer atm for my shaman. INT: Every 1 INT adds 0.3 spell damage, 5 INT adds 1 skill critical addition dmg. MND: Every 1 MND adds 4 MP, every 4 MND adds 1 HP rest to heal spells. Every 5 MND adds 1 to MP Recovery, Every 1MND adds 0.018 skill crit chance Currently at my level my mana pool is around 1200 and MP regen around 75. When soloing I can handle 3 elite mobs with occasional resting but normally the spawn rate makes me regenerate enough mana to keep spamming fireballs etc at almost a constant interval, eg as soon as one spawn I start to blast . Ohh, I try to use fireball less now as I got burning hell, totems etc that preserves mana more and just use fireballs to finish the mobs of. This has made me focus on int gear more than mnd gear so my current prefered order for gear or reinforcement is INT > MANA > REGEN > MND . In short, the more overall dmg I dish out the less mana I use and faster they go down.
  15. Its default disabled, so enable it in the options on the right side toolbar then in the game settings.

  18. Ok, (got guild master cap on ) let me try ending this as I think its needed to conclude this thread somewhat. The general census puts us in 3 camps, those in favour for rolling on everything, neutrals and then those who favor only roll on needed items. I also think its totally opinion based discussion thus presenting any case that will swing the other side over isnt really possible. So, lets decide for our guild that we let the party set the loot rules (as suggested by several) , be it guild only party or random group and live with that we have different opinions and respect that, its up to the individual to decide if he wants to party or not. If we later see that this isnt working out well we can bring this topic up again. Now lets continue and have fun on the servers and keep the FDM spirit alive in the guild ....weeee

Like stubbie said it may require alot of work but one idea would be to make the account info known for all members thus everyone could login and browse the items and mail to the needed toon Would be awesome to have an account where we could donate stuff; items, xeons, lant etc for the greater good If nothing else my inventory is sooo painfully full atm
  21. Then Dark Knights is the guild for you!! That is exactly why we created this guild And also "normal" I meant guilds like the official Dark clan with set rules - ex like the no overspawn rules, applications etc.
  22. No no, you have it all wrong Like schot said when he started this topic was to have a discussion where we could vent our opinions on this subject. We all have one The Dark Requiem guild is in its current form just an easier way to chat and keep track of us all. No future plans exist at the moment thus we dont have any rules and are not bound by the clan rules set by FDM as its not an offcial guild. My point is that you can play and act however you want, be it roll on items or not. But also should you feel that you want to be in a more "normal" guild feel free to do so also, its ofc totally up to you if you want to stay or not though I hope you will
  23. I just want to add that this discussion isnt unique in anyway, most guilds have it and the only way to really solve it is to implement a rolling system and use master loot. Not sure this is for us as we are such a small guild and only consists of friends from the forum so far. But a large guild with many players need a more strict system - the most common one is the Dragon Kill Points (DKP) and then there are several vairaints. In short it works like this that you earn points by attending raids and events that you then later can spend on items that drops. Example) RoL with 2 bosses where first is worth 50 and second 75. Number is based on how many items that drops and also how sought after they are. An item would then maybe cost 200 points and if several wanted to buy it they either roll for it or the one with most points get it. Confused? ..lol ..I am too.
