  1. my beautiful town of dewey... flooded like whoa New Castle County had the same issues that we did down south... this is what to do if this happens near you: RUN! You don't want to be stuck in what I had to deal with yesterday... and what's strange is that today is perfectly normal! lol. take care all. -Total
  2. Sunny with a chance of sun. 62 degrees F right now... hopefully will get warmer... yesterday, the town at which I hold my job flooded on the bayside and oceanside.... a few of our traffic barriers now reside in the atlantic ocean... the police dept got a bit of water in it, most of the surrounding towns were evacuated. trees flew into the roadway, 30+ mph winds (constant winds, not gusts), it was only a tad bit short of a hurricane. it was an utter mess... most of the highway had standing water on it. yay for directing traffic because all of the traffic control devices were either out or blown away! -Total
  3. it's in my belly... sorry, thought it was mine... I will buy you a fresh one though. -Total
  4. more rain... no foot patrol for me today. 63 degrees I believe... ughughughughugh. cannot stand the rain. apparently it won't stop until monday night. -Total
  5. we had a bit of rain this morning and last night, now its sort of sunny, and kinda wet... not too warm, busted out the long-sleeved shirt today (probably the last time I will wear it for 5 months) lol. take care all -Total
  6. stubbie picked what I missed. glucosamine & chondroiten (spelling?) tablets, capsules, gels, or any supplements like that definitely ease all joint pain, and can actually help build up the cartilidge in the joint if taken properly. one company that I've experimented with briefly is agel... I'm not gonna spread their mumbo-jumbo about their techniques for selling... but if you can find a dealer that sells agel... their supplement called "Flx" is definitely helpful for joint pain. I have a lot of shoulder and hip issues from pitching, and whenever I go to shoot, things can crop up if I'm using a large caliber weapon. glucosamine sort of "oils up" the joints in a sense that it keeps the swelling down and makes movement more fluid. I've taken glucosamine pills before too. they work. my only beef with them is that the pills are about as big as my thumb... elephants have trouble with them. if you can handle large pills, I recommend that, because they're cheap and more readily available. if you have a problem with horse pills, then try to find a gel-suspended substitues. DISCLAIMER: I am in no way trying to sell anything or advocate the selling or buying of anything in this post. I am just suggesting help for someone who may need it. I'm no doctor, (thank god) and I'd recommend getting a doctor's advice before purchasing or trying any type of pill, gel, or dietary supplement. (Also, I no longer take any pills/supplements for my joint pain. I just use a frozen hockey puck on the spot that hurts for about 20 mins, then go about my day.) just my 2 cents. again, good luck. my main advice is definitely talk to someone who knows something more than I. -Total
  7. evil. I have carpal tunnels... and hate to break it to you, but your symptoms are kinda similar to the ones I get... go to a joint specialist and get it checked out asap... they have programs that you can help strengthen your wrists and minimize the pain... unfortunately I never did any of that lol. The worst part of Carpal Tunnels Syndrome in my opinion is when your wrists feel like they need to crack, and they just won't. they feel like that for hours, even days. you feel numb and stupid for playing the computer so long lol. what works best for me... BETTER SUPPORT FOR YOUR WRISTS ON YOUR KEYBOARD AND MOUSE!! those gel strips or whatever they are work wonders... I don't have any atm... but they really do relieve the stress on your wrists. also I have found that using a laptop is worse on the wrists than a desktop... I think it actually has to do with the posture of your whole body when you're sitting and typing. sooo... advice number two: Sit up straight and maintain good posture in your back and neck. this is important for those two areas, and it may relieve stress/weight on the wrists. take care buddy, and good luck... -Total
  8. hello and welcome to our little/big home away from home! good to see you on there, and if you ever have any questions about anything, just ask... these guys are the best! take care amigo -Total
  9. 13 hour shift. spent directing traffic so people wouldnt get flattened by automobiles... got a 10-81 (mental patient... freakin nutcase) and a 10-29P (wanted person). what a Looooooong day. end me now... well guys, good nite, take care all, just givin u all an update, because totalman hasn't been on in a while. guess I will go before my eyelids melt away from not having been closed for extended periods of time. later all! stay safe! -Total
  10. hi again guys, sorry I've been off for awhile (again...) police academy is taking its toll on my free time... just wanted to stop in and say I haven't forgotten about you and that I'm doin alright... wish you all well! -Total
  11. I know this is I guess old news, but the grammatically correct way to type is having 2, yes, 2. and I mean 2... spaces after a period. the reason that the forum does that is because it is HTML... you need the to add additional spaces. if a space is at the beginning of a post, it will not reformat the post. this is the same thing with middle of the post text (for the most part. this is supposed to have 10 spaces in between it. idk if it will work) just food for thought... but yes, its 2 spaces. edit: ps... I also put like 100 spaces in front of the "quote" tag, just to re-prove my theory to myself. I have random spacing between words and it still formats them together. -Total
  12. =D nice! HI ALL! Undone, cheers! Scotland created golf (And SCOTCH). tell everyone to sit down. -Total
  13. Noone can trump the Original AGE OF EMPIRES! =D wait, I DID! =P I been playing the original Area of Effect and Civilization II lately. Classics. -Total
  14. all of my names are from punk rock songs. what I grew up with. I haven't gotten my sacred account fixed, so I don't even know what my name is on it =P. but when I play COD or anything on forums, I'm Totalimmortal. song by AFI. if I can't use totalimmortal, then it's 1000 Good Intentions (A song by RISE AGAINST) or Immortal. (everyone calls me Total or TI though.) even co-workers have called me Total in the past. -Total

  18. I do it occasionally depending on the situation. I don't do it all the time here though... its a weird habit. but if I'm on a traffic stop, and I want to explain something to someone, it'd be "if officer AJ does this, then this would happen..." that kinda thing. but lol ty funki that brightened up my morning. -Total
  19. its official. Totalman's dept is downsizing, and he has been released from the pleasure of state employment. it was great while it lasted. the good news: Totalman has gotten hired by another dept at the beach area... good thing I thought realistically instead of optimistically huh? put in the app a few days ago, had the interview today, conditional hired on the spot... might be on the forums a little less due to having to go through academy training again to get a recertification, but I will still be around! -Total
  20. they're right. BIOS password is the only way to go... its a shame though, I don't really like em, and you're screwed if you forget it. haha he plays COD? sweet sweet. (next decade when he gets off restriction, tell him the 2xS rifles Only Server is where it's at =P) but yeah, we got bios pws in our mobile units in our cars. as for dare, they're more drug related. if you live in a small town, I think you can befriend an officer (ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA)... and have him just have a stern talking to on the young lad. that might work. good luck mom! -Total
