  1. Did I smell Poutine? I never miss an outrageously over sized meal! Hey everybody! hope all are well. loco I think I know where these 20 lbs I lost went...
  2. I have been so busy with life and work I missed this huge event in your real life, gogo. Congrats on finding another position so quickly. ( took me 14 months) and a pay raise during a recession! Fantastic. P.S. Sorry you have to get dressed for work now, lol That saves me from some strange mental images while reading your posts. Thks Cheers loco
  3. Number six's magical battle is probably the best ever filmed in movies. ooooh, I hope this last installment does it justice gogo I agree, the end of Order of the Phoenix is by far the best battle scene yet.
  4. books 5,6 and 7 definitely take a dark and sort of sad turn.( But I couldn't put them down until the end) 1-4 were the fun ones for me.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/embed/5NYt1qirBWg I have been waiting for this movie to come with great expectation. it's looks like it will be epic. I picked up Deathly Hallows part 1 when it came out on dvd this spring. I had seen all the movies 1-6 but I guess I never paid very close attention to the details. Having not read the book yet, it seemed to lose me a little. So I went back and watched them all 1-7 back to back over the course of a week. I was hooked, so I watched them again. Still having so many unanswered questions I went out and bought the whole set of books on paperback from Amazon for $50. And began reading with intensity. A month later, with books 1-6 done I was half way through book 7 and caught up to the movies. I must say, as is true with almost every movie/book, the books are better. Although with the visuals of the movies in my head (characters faces, Hogwarts, Quiditch, etc) I enjoyed the books way more.
  6. That is an incredible endorsement! Thank you very much and I am glad you are having fun with her. Welcome to Dark Matters! cheers
  7. I hire some of my people through agencies, and it usually works like this, if the employee works for me for 90 days or 540 hours, I can hire them on directly, if an employee comes from an agency and then leaves for whatever reason, I can't hire them on directly until I get an agreement from the original agency that refereed then to begin with. Otherwise they have referred an employee to me for free, and agencies won't stay in business providing referrals for free. If this prospective employer has an agreement with your former employer, they may be dragging their feet to make a decision. Ultimately, they can be liable for employment fees to the agency if they hire you without a release from the agency. So I understand the letter seems difficult, but it is in your best interest to get a letter from the agency that says you are not under contract, nor is any agreement in place. This makes you a free agent to be hired at will.
  8. The buff is pretty much worthless for this build. I used a LL% Pole arm with Inexorable Subjugation for mobs. 1 by 1 you can get a nice army of 5-8 built up that make short work of the next monster. the kills come too slow for Soul Reaver to really help much. For bosses I used Dislodged Spirit and left clicks of the Pole Arm. took a while but eventually they come down.
  9. Well, just for kicks I created a HC Nefarious only Inquisitor in the CM Patch and did silver camp without using anything but NN aspect. The Scorpion Boss was the hardest one to kill, all the rest of the camp seemed pretty easy. He is at level 41 and just starting gold. So far I have only put points into Vitality, NN Lore, Armor Lore, NN Focus. IT certainly isn't an ideal build, but that is making it kind of fun the play something you wouldn't ever dare to try before. Well we will see how gold goes.
  10. Yes, greater value means the chance to pick from the higher level bucket is increased, but what I was wondering was how this effects the chance for random uniques/legendaries...it only increases the chance for a unique/legendary, not whether or not its a random one. Do we know how high he set the values? possibly setting all others at zero to force a legendary draw? ZRareExpectation15 = 2147483647, ZRareExpectation14 = 1, ZRareExpectation13 = 1, ZRareExpectation12 = 1, ZRareExpectation11 = 1, ZRareExpectation10 = 1, ZRareExpectation09 = 1, ZRareExpectation08 = 1, ZRareExpectation07 = 1, ZRareExpectation06 = 1, ZRareExpectation05 = 1, ZRareExpectation04 = 1, ZRareExpectation03 = 1, ZRareExpectation02 = 1, ZRareExpectation01 = 1, ZRareExpectation00 = 1, This explains it, I think
  11. ZRareExpectation is the right ones. 15 is legendary, 13-14 are uniques and sets, 10-12 is rare etc... its a complicated formula, depending on the bucket that the drop pulls from, increasing any of those values, increases the change that one of those items is in the bucket. There is still chance involved in the drop. a pseudorandom chance Edit: That sounded very confusing when I read it back, hope that make sense. Isac you haven't exactly found something new or undiscovered. But, its cool that you came across by chance and experimentation.
  12. It was most likely an XBOX live patch, not Sacred 2 related. IT just so happened to trigger when you started Sacred 2.
  13. NN aspect only in the Hard challenge would make for difficult challenge indeed. certainly would be interesting to give it a try. Boss fights are going to be the big hurdle to over come.
  14. I found this while googling for your particular problem. It's a bit or reading but at least 1 poster found a solution. possible virus that changed the normal login screen to a black on black on black login screen. check it out on the windows 7 forum here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/27414-blank-screen-cursor-but-no-log-screen.html
  15. Yeah, I think that's what's happening, it took 7-8 mins to get to the login screen this morning, but it hasn't come up with the "configuring updates" screen for a few days. It then installed a few more updates this morning (including IE9) & after a quick reboot ~15-20 mins later it still hadn't got back to the login screen. Does boot logging cover the configuring updates stage? I don't mind it doing updates, it just seems to do them almost everyday & then it takes a considerable amount of time to boot afterwards. With a fresh install, this update phase is going to take a bit, unless you manually go into windows update and get all the high priority updates out of the way. BTW, some updates don't show until other updates are applied. :/ Once all these updates are complete you should only have to indure them about once a month.
  16. And you won't find those here either
  17. Windows 7 service pack 1 came out recently, but it is not an automatic update. It did however take a very long time to boot the first time. Is there any HD activity while its on the black screen?
  18. Antitrust's Queen of Blades Exalted only seraphim can do the Easy and Hard challenges.
  19. Ice and Blood, 2.45.2 (cant remember the middle number exactly, but its ice and blood and has the 2 at the end) I would start diagnosing a graphics problem with making sure all drivers are up to date and current. then, go into the Sacred 2 options:Graphics menu and move all sliders to the lowest settings. And turn off PhysX! If this improves the frame rate and game play. Great! then slowly start bringing some of the detail sliders up until you experience problems again. That should get you to a playable level for the hardware you have.
  20. I certainly don't regret any of the min/max ideas and tricks that we discovered in Closed Net. The mules, bargainers and speed camps were a great deal of fun. But I think I am finding that, just like others here have posted, there is a unique challenge to playing "Au Natural". And it is bringing the fun back into playing. I think there was a bit of a movement in the GSF community for just this type of play style. Although, in the end there is no single method of play or challenge that is "better" imo. Sacred 2 is so cool in that it is flexible enough to allow so many different play styles to exist and sustain us.
  21. I have been having a similar experience myself, no mules for gear or bargaining for items, just kill and quest and use what drops. I did breakdown and use a niobium level blacksmith for blacksmith damage and armor. glad you having a good time on "the patch". cheers
  22. Sounds like you figured it out. patch to 2.40 then install ice and blood and patch that to 2.65. as long as your old characters from the US version were opened in at least 2.43 at some point. you should be able to use them in ice and blood, (fingers crossed)
  23. Neither this particular SW Mod or the Inquisitor mod are in the CM-patch. I am not sure what, if any, plans there are. there is another by the same author that did make it in, however. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Scourge_of_Lordaeron
  24. I just tried running it in single card mode, it worked fine! Is there no way to make SLI work? The game runs at 30~45fps on a single card, and I can feel the response lag. Possibly, but I had not found it. If you find a way to change your Nvidia config settings to get it to work, let me know. question, in SLi mode did you have Vsync on or off?
