  1. Sacred 2, and a few others, are back on sale!
  2. I agree. That's why I switched to Macs. Wonder if I could shame the equipment providers into giving me an upgrade to a higher spec MB ...
  3. Nope, still not working. The MB was again sent back. Hope they are able to do something that makes it work this time.
  4. Ever have trouble getting someone out of bed? How to wake up someone with a laser pointer and a dog.
  5. Just opened an email from MSI that had been delivered at 1855 last night. My motherboard is on its way back!
  6. I feel that strong Mod support is almost required for any new game. As far as HC is concerned, just do a quick check to ensure any mods applied for one player are also universally applied to any other player joining in a game with that player. Then everyone will still be on a level playing field.
  7. Hmm. My daughter bought the game before enough information was available. She just loaned it to me (PS3 version) and I played about 5-10 minutes and went back to Skyrim. Not impressed, though I will have to play it again for longer to give it an honest try. I have it available after all. If Sacred 2 was a prequel to S1 and S1 wasn't as good as Sacred 2, then it follows that S3 wouldn't be as good as either since it's sequel #3 ... [Added] I like this theme much better than the normal theme. I can actually see the text when creating and reading posts!
  8. Must keep track of this topic as I am getting a new computer that might just be able to run Sacred 2 with no problems. I will want to download this Mod so I can take advantage of all the hard work our other members have performed.
  9. No need unless you wish to. Just curious. Just let any of the Admins know if you want to change it. That option is restricted to alleviate any confusion over the possibility of rapidly changing usernames.
  10. I just noticed and accepted your membership request. Why didn't you use the same username over there as you use here? As soon as you mentioned gem stones I had an idea who it was ...
  11. Thanks, so do I. What do you think of my forum? I know it isn't as flash as this one but I'm hoping that it will help its members as much as this one helps theirs.
  12. You may be but I do my best not to do so. I don't have many "friends"; those I do have, I know. BTW, the i7-4790K is listed further down the list under Haswell Refresh. I have decided to send the board back to the OEM to ensure that the BIOS is installed properly. I will have to wait longer for my system but will not have to worry about someone else messing it up.
  13. OK, just accepted you as a "Full Member". You should now be able to see a LOT more in the forum. I'm not sure it's a good idea to give your real name in the post though. It's only viewable by other members but, in general, it's not a good idea to publish any information that could possibly lead anyone to you as a physical entity.
  14. You aren't authorized to access the topic because you haven't finished the registration process. You should only be able to see a single forum, "The Loading Screen". In my other forum I called it "Purgatory". Read the forum instructions at the top of the forum page top complete your registration. Why so much trouble? None of us like Spammers and this is my way of trying to make sure they cannot access any of the non-public areas of our forum, which is more than the public can see. "The Loading Screen" is a private, hidden forum that only newly registered members and Admins can see. If you follow the instructions, an Admin will then allow you into the forum. If you don't follow the instructions and just sit there, your account will be removed anywhere from 7 days to a month so our user list will be comprised almost completely of those who are real people and not Bots or Spammers. If you post spam, no one can see it but you and the Admins and you won't be able to see it for long ...
  15. I am less concerned with the Harddrive than I am with Windows. I haven't opened the package yet, so may just return it to exchange for Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit ... IF I can ever get this system up and running!
  16. Thanks fro that compatibility link. Don't understand how I missed that. I have sent them a query about having them update the BIOS to get the board to work. They may just not have updated their website yet. To answer your question about registering, you have to look at the main website index page, not the forum page. It helps if you have two tabs open, one for the main page and one for the forum registration. Here's a link that may help: https://wildtangentfansite.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1096 Sorry if it seems hard but it's one of our options designed to keep Spammers out.
  17. OK, I was hoping to entice some of you to at least visit my forum but I guess that's too much to hope for. Here is the first post I made when I first ordered my new system: I have been in touch with MSI Support and they seem to think I need to update the BIOS to a version compatible with the Processor. I will take the system to the local Best Buy tomorrow to see if they will temporarily install an older processor so they can update the BIOS. If they can and the system starts to work, then I will have to decide whether to keep the Windows 8.1 or (my real preference) return it for Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. Fingers crossed.
  18. I can't even get the BIOS screen to come up. I tried booting with no SATA connected and got the same response. I'm waiting to hear from MSI Support.
  19. Thanks, I was concerned I had done something wrong!
  20. Sorry? Everything I've been talking about has been legally purchased through respected vendors. I didn't see anyone else talking about anything pirated. Did you remove a post I didn't catch? Well, I put everything I had together (only lacking the internal optical drive), hooked it all up, turn on the power, and ... nothing! There is a small light on the MB that flickers and goes out and the power button lights up. Other than that there is no indication that anything is even thinking about waking up. Guess I get to call the vendor Monday to see if they have any ideas what may have gone wrong. This is the first SATA only system that I've ever built, so I was extra careful to make sure that I paid attention to how everything was supposed to connect. I even read the installation instructions which I never before needed to do. I'm sure it's got to be something really simple and stupid. If it was one of my older systems though, I would say that something was wrong with the motherboard.
  21. Any idea when Windows 10 will be out and stable? I would prefer Windows 7 right now but it's also about to go under and I want to be able to use my new system for at least a few weeks before the OS is unsupported! My daughter has Windows 8 on her laptop and said it took a while to get used to but it was capable of running older games and the interface could be set up do work the way you want. Yes, I ordered Windows 8.1. I have 16GB RAM but can go to 32GB if I want/need to. Windows 7 doesn't support more than 16GB.
  22. I have ordered and started building a new Windows based computer system since my old one runs an OS that is no longer supported (Windows XP). I'm posting here because I have a feeling that I will be asking for help before I'm finished since there is so much new technology that I'm not familiar with. Anyone interested can see the specs for the machine over at my forum. I won't be posting them here unless I reach a point where I need help. Then I will have to not only list what I have but what I've done so far and what the problem is. Right now I'll just say it's an Intel i7 processor running at 4GHz with 16 GB RAM, a 2TB mechanical harddrive and a 512GB SSD. I have Windows 8.1 ready to install but I'm still waiting for the internal Blu-Ray drive to get here.
  23. I'm pretty sure the Devs took all the "Console Commands" out of the production run. I remember trying some of the codes and was disappointed they didn't work.
  24. The largest archive of history on YouTube. Follow us through the 20th Century and dive into the good and the bad times of the past. Feel free to explore more than 80,000 videos of filmed history and maybe you'll find stuff no one else has ever seen. - Thanks to my oldest daughter.
