    I remember almost completing the quest when I first played Sacred 2 but I never actually got to the very end ... I had to keep starting over because of new updates.

    Why not just try it? Even if you "mess up the game", all you need do is reinstall it.

    Thanks for that. I think I am going to have to start a new character and go through the tutorials on the PS3. I've never really played for long on that system and it has been a long time since I last played. If I am going to even think about joining with others to play, I need to know HOW to play first.

    I just got my copy. how does one hook up on the PS3? I notice when I ran the game that there was what appeared to be a connection icon in the upper right that was connected. Does this mean that I am connected to some network the entire time I'm playing, even if I just want to play single-player!?

    If someone gets into my face yelling and screaming at me. especially if I start feeling spittle spraying over my face, I am going to do whatever it takes to make him/her back down. If words don't work, I will protect my sensitive hearing in any way I feel best at the time. If that means I bruise my knuckles, then so be it. Assault need not be physical to still be assault. Sorry Veracious, I don't necessarily believe your way is always right.

    All I know is that when we were working on the Beta we had to download new files every week or so, sometimes more often ... and they were ALL 12GB! At one time I had all the different versions I'd downloaded on my HD, you know, the one I recently finished smashing and dicing and reformatting? I might have copied the files over somewhere else first but now I'm not sure why I'd bother. It was a slice of history but they're no good to anyone any more.

    I don't know about anyone else but almost everything I learned I absorbed from the school of hard knocks ... plus whatever I absorbed via osmosis from a more formal education.

    I'm more of a psychotic than a psychiatrist but it sounds like this young man needs a taste of "Real Life" stat and I can't think of anything that would do it faster than trying to live through boot camp ...

    Mine is an older Windows XP system. I have to play on the lower option scale but I can still play it. It's the same rig I used to help Beta test Sacred 2 and Ice & Blood.

    Amazon.com sells Sacred2 Gold that has Ice & Blood included. That's where I got my copy. I was having some trouble with my Windows system but eventually got it to install properly. Now I don't play it ... go figure.

    Hi Veracious, Sorry no one else has responded to your posts yet but t has only been two days. Not everyone is online and logged into this forum 24/7, so there may be some delay before you get replies to a particular question, as the person with the correct answer just isn't available yet. I used to play a lot of Sacred2 just before and when it first came out but haven't really played that much since, so I am definitely NOT the one to help you. I'm sure someone will be along before too much longer though. In the meantime, at least I can welcome you to DarkMatters. I hope you find everything you need here. As far as I know, this is still the most active Sacred2 Community.

    I haven't played D3 since about a month after it cam e out ... when they were having all those problems. Is it stable enough to get back into now or should I not bother?

    I've got two copies of Sacred 2 for the PC, one a regular copy and one a deluxe copy, both from the US distributors for helping with the Beta. I installed them but never played more than a minimal amount because I was so depressed and angry that Ascaron had gone out of business. Recently I got Sacred 2 Gold via Steam for the PC and tried to get back into the game again since there are a LOT of Mods available. I even volunteered to help test a Mod but then had some medical problems and haven't been back to it yet. Today I got a used copy of Sacred 2 for the PS3 from GameStop for $10. For someone who doesn't seem to actually play the game, I have an awful lot of legal copies of the game.

    Understood, I run forums of my own, Admin and Moderate for others. My frustration probably shows in my report because I feel helpless to DO ANYTHING! When I see a Spammer I just want to send an EMP back through the Internet to melt down their entire house while incidentally taking out their computer. I only visit the SIF once a day anymore but surely there are some regulars that would love to help.

    I have access to the game on the PS3 but also just got a third copy (Sacred 2 Gold) for my PC. I played a lot during the Beta but when Ascaron went out of business it kind of soured me on the game.

    And I think it's going rapidly downhill. I've been over there twice tonight and the forum is rapidly filling with Spam trash and nobody's about to clean up.

    They are getting rid of the forum and will not be creating a new one. The reason they gave us so much warning is because they want to make sure all the information on the website is updated to match the more current data in the forum. Even if I took over the licensing, I couldn't just "move everything over". They were very clear, there was no way they would allow us to have any user information, so a database backup and restore would be out of the question. If I did take over the license, I would have to start a new forum and build it up the same way I'm doing with the one I've already started, I would just have to pay for it.
