Hooyaah 2,827
I'm playing vanilla, can't get more in the U.S. If you still need some information I'm happy to provide it. 1 Link to comment

Not entirely true any more.. Both Steam and Amazon have Sacred 2 Gold for sale - in the US - for $20... And even so, even before this - we could get the UK version by way of DarkMatters and DLGamer for a bit more than that. Link to comment
Hooyaah 2,827
I didn't think that the Gold Edition was much different. Is it really worth the investment? I was under the impression that the primary difference was that it didn't require any patching and was ready to roll after spinning the installation discs. Link to comment

Well, Sacred 2 Gold has the Ice and Blood expansion, that's the main thing. As you probably know, there was no U.S. release of Ice and Blood, and the U.K. version of Ice and Blood couldn't be installed on top of the U.S. Fallen Angel. Therefore if you want to play the full game w/ expansion in English in the U.S., you have to get Sacred 2 Gold (or somehow get U.K. versions of both Fallen Angel and Ice and Blood). I was able to order Sacred 2 Gold a few years ago when it was briefly on Gogamer. Now of course it's available in many shops. Link to comment

Popular Post gogoblender 3,072
hehe, thanks for posting this Tom. There's some amusement with this scenario, as we were looking for a specific moment in time where/when the game looked different and thereby could use the "original" appleation for a region in the Wiki which had become debated issue for us. I think at the time, only Cathy (ysne) had that vanilla copy... in essence, she had the only, then, operable time machine, and volunteered to take a trip back in time for us. Her trek was daring, courageous and, much like other romps through the pasts, could have been filled with dinosaurs! Danger abounded and luckily no dinosaurs, but instead ... a victory for the wiki research team! Her return was celebrated and feted and festooned with ballons. Wine flowed, medium quality cheeses were cut, high quality chocolates consumed. Her chronal trip had become the talk of myth, she returned to us a hero! Back from the Sacred Vanilla Time lands while a-gasp, wild-haired and out of breath, wheezing and uttering one, final, breathless word ... " Bengaresh Threshhold!" gogo 2 Link to comment

Schot 407
The funniest part is how seriously we actually take this kind of stuff. Me and gogo sitting around a couple of coffees thinking, "What are we gunna do?!". I took a couple swigs of coffee and then. "Aha! We've got to send someone back! Back to the pre-historic days of Sacred 2. But who!?" It was the most unlikely of solutions for a seemingly insignificant detail but if there's one thing we've learned it's that there are a looooooot of details that can easily be mis-documented. When Ysne accepted the mission our imaginations continued along with her journey. Painting crazy pictures of Ysne trudging through the depths of that old forgotten land that everyone left for more exciting times in Ice & Blood. The discovery process was pretty cool. Thanx again Ysne for sticking with it! http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/21328-recomended-change-divide-bengaresh-desert-into-sub-sections/ You know... There was another name in that topic that was not displaying right. Link to comment

Popular Post SX255 630
I have the old cd 2.12 version and the dif between 2.12 and last patch is that greenies drop alot easier from quests in the rest no big difference if you ask me. No big difference? How long have you been playing it? Oh, I remember 2.12 (and if really needed I can revert to it) I lost 2 good items while trying to forge, because when you close the forging window and they are still in it, they drop to the ground and you may not notice this and move on. Half the supporting NPC escorts were suicidal attackers. At one point an eleven writer in the desert (the one looking for her dog) went fisticuffs with every bug in sight (and she can be killed). Incidentally, when traveling/loading between dungeon and main world, escorts can disappear (or more correctly never appear). That's how I finished that find the dog quest, as the escort NPC do reappear on game reloading. The “Bandits” on the bridge was several quests; one would become an ugly X in the logbook. The “Back to the front” quest could be easily failed by talking to a nearby NPC too early. The book on Testa (hey, what ever happened to Chuck Testa meme) describes him having a dog head when all the statues are clearly human (or elf). There were a lot less portals in the game, but most maps are modern. I tried 3 times to find nonexistent Western Tyr Lysia portal. It was a kobold massacre of rage. The map had completed quest green circles on by default, so you had to disable them every time you started the game or else the map became a mess. The Hypoca… Hipo… Seahorse in German is broken as hell, as all it did was bob up and down, without playing the effects at all. It was a tad creepy. Worst of all, and my most hated bug, there was a very big chance that once the “you are heavily damaged” hartbeating started, it would never stop until you reload the character. That was soooo annoying. You had to stop, log out, log in and then a red scorpion spawned right in your face. And as you suffer through all this, you know that there is Ice & Blood expansion out there, and that you are missing out on a lot in the game. I only got through act 2 before drooping it and getting the full experience + PC community patch. Edited October 22, 2013 by SX255 2 Link to comment

SX255 630
Don’t be. I don’t draw that well and those are just some of the works I drew a year ago. Done in PowerPoint, took several days, will make a separate thread for them. Also, can you guys stop quoting the entire long post? You can edit those to be shorter, you know. Link to comment
