So True! Though Ive never eaten slugs, I've tried rap, Ive really tried, I don't like to hate anything! Hell, Ive even admitted to appreciating country for some of its instrumental abilities (And really funny lyrics)... but I just cant find anything with rap...

Well I found my favorites ! I listened to all of those and found more too!

 

Evanescence, Disturbed, Rhapsody (of fire), Nightwish, Sirenia, Magica, and dragonforce (Just reminds me of Helloween, which I always loved)

Svartthron (My grandmother came here from Lithuania as a child, So its music from my roots!)

Hehe, from analyzing your tastes so far I reached the conclussion you're into power metal as well, you might just not know it yet.

 

As such I recomend you the following bands as must listen to.

Blind Guardian

Kamelot

Demons & Wizards

Evergrey

Angel Dust

and last but not least, Manowar!

 

There are a lot of other bands that you might like, but this ones are must.

Nu Metal is kinda impossible to define as a genre, instead it's mostly a blending of a lot of musical styles, some of them metal related (like thrash), some related to alternative rock (like grunge) or some totally unrelated to metal or even rock whatsover (like rap and hiphop).

 

Most true metalheads will agree on the fact that Nu metal isn't real metal, mostly due to the musical influences that are prone to be undesirable to the metal audience.

 

Fans of Nu Metal are mostly those that listen to the genres that influenced nu metal or people (read teenagers) who want to look cool for being fans of a metal band, despite not knowing a thing about what metal actually is.

Hehehe Awesome! I will check these out as well! TY!! I never did care much for Limp Bizkit, Korn, or Slipknot, though there a couple I don't mind from Linkin Park. LMAO But I am SOOOO Not a poser!!

 

So I guess if the music and vocals move me, I like it! LOL Thats the best way to describe me Oh and I used to sing (Not at the same time frame when I played bass but later on), Nothing of the "Ruff" type (Unless I didn't want to talk for a few days that is) So I've found lately some of the woman metal singers are the most fun to emulate! And cause trying to do the male voice just doesn't work for me!

 

Also you like Magica? Wow, their from my country. ^_^

 

Ya! In my search for more symphonic metal I found Magica, and I really like it! Im always looking for ways to expand my tunage now, so thank you for the new ones!, I used to think metal was dead! Gotta love other countries for the real music now! None of the CRap we have here!

 

Hehehe I used to listen to Manowar years back! Fighting the world LOL! It's funny how those lyrics never left my brain!
