What's the weather like over there?

Recommended Posts

Weather is still hot here. sunshine and clear skies. Most afternoons and evenings we at least have winds that cool the day down.

I took these pictures quickly now in the garden, Lord Piper Purrington could not decide where he wanted to lie down...

Stormy. Holes in the clouds. In them we can watch shains of cranes in the sun returning from Africa. So my personal weather predict: spring is near.

Just in time for Easter: Chicks leaving the eggs. Put most eggs in a breeding machine to have control over the time. Extented family with some young kids will come. So little chicks, coloring eggs in ant-hills, ...

Think the eggs (added some fake eggs) in the nest with the hen will be ready easter monday. Prefer the chicks being raised with a mother hen. We have Deutsche Sperber (german sparrowhawk hens). Quite robust and can live outside, even hunting mice and such. Roosters can even fight with some success against fox and birds of prey.

Happy Easter Chattius! Somehow your story seems to have a little more depth than just getting chocolates at the pharmacy.  May your Easter birds have a successful season!

We got a serious blizzard here going on.  Schot and I use two different modems for work, his is the house, and I have one supplied by company, both use Videotrons services which seems to be down... called a few friends and their electricity is out as well.  WE're bunkering up with all our items making sure theyre powered up and getting ready for the power to go out as well... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...montreal!!

1st of May is workfree in Germany, Bicycle trip with almost WHOLE family, mainly tandems with kid trailers. 80 kilometres to visit a bicycle race. We visited at the climb to the highest mountain. Before we visited a falconry which trains falcons to keep birds away from the runway at Frankfurt airport. Return by railway which had waggons for bicycles.

29C and sun

From the hill top near our house we can see the hilttop of the Grosser Feldberg. But seeing and reaching it per bike are two totally opposite thihgs

As so often, heat was followed by a thermal thunderstorm the next day. 50 litres rain per square metre ib just one hour, Some smaller flooding in neighbour village.

For us it was good, enough water in the well now.
