gogoblender 3,185
Hey guys! The Quests for SacredWiki are slowly getting down with work from people like Schot, who has coded together a brilliant little template that spawns at the touch of a button whenever you want to add a guide to the wiki, and Promatalya (We'll call him the Questerator ^^) who has machined his way through more than 18 quests in a few days, writing content, directions, making maps, and adding pictures. Schot's SacredWiki Quest template can be found here if you want to refer to it to use to add your own Quest Guide to the wiki: Sacredwiki Quest Template As well, Promatolya has written his own additional guide to help others in using Schot's template when writing up their own guides which can be found here: Prom's Quest Tutorial Helper Armed with those two, adding a guide for a quest is painless, and easier than you could think. When you know you have blanks to fill in, the process actually becomes fun ^^ Here's the list of completed quests so far, and we're hoping that more interested people would like to help with this, the largest project for the wiki. As more quests keep getting added, anyone who completes one can add a post to this topic (double posts allowed) after which we will update the listing in the first post of this topic here. Here's the list of completed Quest Guides, and to everyone who's interested, good luck! gogo p.s. If anyone here has any ideas or comments about how the quests are being done or set up, please do not hesitate to post! Arperum 3
The dryad side quest "in accordance with nature" is the same one for shadow campaign, I've been thinking that these are always the same, no matter what campaign. Link to comment
promatolya 5
Thank you for letting us know that !. Other then that, it seems this quest is not complete yet, which puzzles me. The quest allways showed me a blue circle on the map whenever I completed one of it's objectives, to find another questgiver. However in the last part it didn't, therefor I tought it was done. Turns out the quest isn't complete yet. This is something I'll have to work on. but the rest of the quests should be correc,t and complete. Link to comment
promatolya 5
The first 3 quests in the 'Light storyline campaign' are added. More quests will follow in the next few days. I hope (and kinda expect) the unique mounts quest to be written up somewhere at the end of this week, or in the next week too, for those that are anxious to find out. Schot 411
prom those quest guides are amazing. I can't believe how much detail you have squeezed into them. Really nice. Link to comment
promatolya 5
Glad to see someone likes em. I admit, it's a slow process, and I might work faster then I am now, but this way I'll keep up, and I won't let the quality go down for the cost of speed . Especially the main storylines might take a while. took me about a week to do both wihtout screenshotting and writing every act up, so I assume another week is needed to write and screenshot just 1 campaign. After that special mounts is up for duty, and then I'll work on the dark campaign. But I don't feel like starting a new char yet, so that one might take a bit (few weeks tops before it's up and running?). Assuming no-one else beats me to the punch Link to comment
promatolya 5
second quest of the second chapter allso added now. Gar'Colossus as is the First quest of the third chapter Among orcs Edited November 4, 2008 by promatolya Link to comment
gogoblender 3,185
Prom, this is fantastic. I can't imagine how many hours it's taking you to do all this, but the contribution to the SacredWiki is really going to help out peeps with their quests. Very nice work with making links to every NPC we meet in Sacred. I can hardly wait to join with doing quests to to fill out the npcs...they're fun to colllect! gogo Link to comment
SotW-Defiant 0
I told gogo I would help with the quests on the wiki. Instead of diving right in to the wiki I thought it would be a better idea to sort the quests alphabetically. The lists are all created in Google Documents, and you'll be able to edit the spreadsheets if you need to. I used this screenshot to get the quest names. Some of them may need the spelling fixed, just an FYI. Quests are from the light campaign. Chapter 1 Chapter 2 There's 2 quests with ... after it. I couldn't get the rest of the name from the screenshot I had. Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10 - No Side Quests that I'm aware of Shadow Warrior Edited December 4, 2008 by SotW-Defiant Link to comment
gogoblender 3,185
Defiant, this is amazing work. lol you've cut into a lot of the organizational work need to whip these quests into shape. Thank you! gogo Link to comment
Arperum 3
I *think* I saw a side quest question mark somewhere in the wastelands, I'll go and find it (and otherwise grab all those demons on a pic. I'll restart taking pics I finnally finished the mainquest for the first time >_< and then I'm thinking that I have to do it for the shadow campaign also... that is going to takz some huge chunk of my time again... SotW-Defiant 0
I added the chapter 2 side quests to the wiki page. They're all blank and awaiting editing, but I figured it would be easier to work on those if the pages were already created. I'm not going to add anymore blank pages right now. I think that's more than enough red. lol. I had to add the word quest on the Blacksmith one because it would take you to the blacksmith skill page. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,185
I got the day off early today, and came home to a page full of links on the wiki... Great job Defiant! And hey, red links is good dude! lol, it actually shows guide makers guides that they can make for the quests. Have I said thank you already? Well, here I go again... Thank you! gogo Link to comment
Schot 411
Really amazing work Defiant. That's just... I'm hoping to get my hands dirty with some questing very soon. I have yet to write one and am going to thoroughly enjoy adding some info in there. Cheers! Link to comment
Arperum 3
The dryad side quest "in accordance with nature" is the same one for shadow campaign, I've been thinking that these are always the same, no matter what campaign. I haven't checked any further in the Dryad quest line, but the High elf Quest line is difinately different for light and shadow campaign, shadow campaign is way more sadistic/murderous then the other one... Same for Dryad, essentially meeting the same NPC in Light and Shadow will result in a "Oh, love how wonderful" or a "Yuck, love, High Elves believe in such nonsense" attitude. And the following actions are either to reunite lovers...or kill their whole families by causing infighting. Yet the quest title for both is "Life in the City". SotW-Defiant 0
Work will be slowing down for me (somewhere around the 1st) so I'll be able to give the quest section a little more attention then. I've been slacking on info gathering, but will start again this weekend. I'm also going to add a section (kind of like the tutorial section) for the escort quests. I'm going to wait until I have a few to add in there though. Be prepared to see all sorts of red links on the quest page soon. I'm going to add in the rest of the chapters and at least get the pages in there. Also, I don't play on single player so I don't know any of the class specific quests. The shadow warrior list from a few posts ago was from someone else. If someone can take a screeny of their finished character quests I'd be more than happy to alphabetize it. Link to comment
ScoobyDouche 0
Heres a map of all completed quest markers for the shadow campaign if anyone is interested. 518 solved, 3 failed 1 still active. this should be all quests (including class, office and main) unless I missed something hidden. Schot 411
Thank you so much Scooby. It's a fantastic piece of work you've put together and it's great to see the varying concentrations of quests per region. Your work displays very well what we're up against. I have to wonder how long that took though? Link to comment

gogoblender 3,185
Zeno, and Slayer you guys are doing phenomenal work! The funny thing is that I receive about 35 pms here from this site a day, all asking for wiki "access" to the Wiki Quests section With so many HC players here all racing to create builds, it's easy to over look a great deal of the content that is coming in via quests. You have both made significant and deep additions to Wiki Quests, and the addition is welcome, as can be seen by the enormous jump in Quest Readers here at DarkMatters and on SacredWiki, and I believe have inspired more contributors, enter JaguarGal! Looking forward to reading all the quest contributor stories for the wiki. Thank you! gogo Link to comment
Denna1984 0
While trying to find help on it, I noticed there is one quest not mentioned here. "The customer" in act 7. It is an escort quest with a fairly ok dude to handle. Been doing several other quests while trying to find out where to leave him and he is still alive Link to comment
colif 39
Where in the desert is this quest? I have been through desert countless times, yet never seen that quest name. What class are you playing? Link to comment
Denna1984 0
Where in the desert is this quest? I have been through desert countless times, yet never seen that quest name. What class are you playing? There is a dude with the name "the custumor" standing with the pirate in Turbak. The pirate originally gives the quest named "the Customer" First you need to go to East Turbak for no good reason. Than to the Scorpion Island. And that is where I am stuck so I can not tell more about the quest. Even considering letting him die now. I am with a level 37 seraphim right now. edit: Appearently I am blind. there was a chest on the Island. Quest finally done! Edited June 9, 2010 by Denna1984 Link to comment
colif 39
Ahh, I forgot about him. I try to avoid quests with suicidal escorts, he reminds me of the tourist in Terry Pratchett Discworld novels, shame he was missing his Luggage or he might have had a chance to survive. Link to comment
