Funny/Interesting Sacred 2 Screenshots

I didn't find such a topic after doing a search, so I thought I'd start a topic.

 

I'm a screenshot junkie, especially since I discovered FRAPS a few years ago. Wish I could go back in time and give it to myself for all the games I played in years past. With Sacred 2, over time I've collected quite a few interesting ones.

 

This is one in the desert. There's bus stop and a poor chap has turned into a skelton waiting for the bus that never showed up.

 

These Orcs froze into ice sculptures trying to warm themselves by the fire in the Crystal Plane.

 

Don't wanna meet the rodent this trap was made for! Reminds me of the opening quest to The Bard's Tale (hilarious RPG, get it on GOG).

 

This was the day I realized the Shadow Warrior could resurrect even friendly, non-fighter corpses. While I was fighting some guards, a bear was killing a deer nearby. After I took out the guards and the bear, I brought them back with Rallied Souls, and the deer got up and joined my party too!

 

Speaks for itself I think.

 

Whoever can identify what's going on in this picture gets a cookie. Is it a spaceman in a flying saucer?

 

This is the mad scientist's house who experiments on Orcs. I really appreciate the detail they put into this little side quest. He's got an Orc strapped to the table, and dissection tools, and even an anatomy paper in the style of DaVinci's Vetruvian man, but for Orc anatomy instead. Amazing.

 

This was an interesting glitch. You can't really tell, but that Hydra is dead. After my Seraphim killed it, it didn't turn into a corpse, but froze into a statue like the Kraken staring at Medusa's head.

 

This one's not funny, but I thought it was a really nice dramatic shot of all three types of Werewolves charging my High Elf, while Spiders creep up from behind.

The top and 3rd pics are topics found in the Easter Egg section of the Wiki...

 

The top pic of the bus stop is an ode to Forrest Gump and the 3rd one only appears on the screen if you're playing on the dark side.

 

If you hover your cursor over the box on the bench, you'll find it's a box of chocolates... After all, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."

 

The Mad Scientist's house with the Vitruvian man is also documented as an Easter Egg..

 

And Robb - rest easy, there are only a very few bus benches in all of Ancaria.

 

There's one on the northern road heading west from Griffinborough, another one in Whisperwood, and the last one is on Northland/Christmas Island... Why there? NO idea.

Well dude, I'm not claiming to have discovered any of these things.

 

I've seen the DaVinci easter egg page. Interestingly enough, the mad scientist's house I posted about is not mentioned on the page at all. This drawing shows up in several more places. I've caught it by accident in screenshots at least two other times, in Bengaresh and Tyr Lysia. I guess the point I was trying to make is that in this instance it was actually in an appropriate place (a guy's Orc dissection table) and not some random dungeon floor.

 

There's significantly better pictures of those anatomy papers incoming soon btw.

Pretty sure there is a bus stop in every region (not sure about expansion). There's another you didn't mention to the west of Teardrop Hamlet. Never gone looking for them, just bump into them every once in awhile.

yup you're right...the place I thought of is just a small farm stall. Sign says 'Finest Goods'. Could have sworn there was one around there.

Unfortunately, no, it's the now-defunct Sacred forums from Ascaron.

That's Mount Island. The cat was just hanging out with me as part of a quest (the little boy in Artamark whose cat is lost in a cave). Normally I wouldn't bring an escort NPC with me to Mount Island but I was in a hurry to take some pictures of the Saber-Tooth Tiger for the Wiki.

Flix, they order of these pix and the commentary u have added make your collection attractice. I also like pix too, and every once in a while when plyaing when game was out, would keep finding the most bizarre, deep, or funny expressions or situations in game. At the time, the amount of detail this game could show in contrast to other stuff out there made it a gem.

The black and white's a great moment of recollection, who'd a ever thought a game like Sacred 2 way back then could have this kind of creativity. First time I saw/played that was very impressed.

I think in MP that Black/white event also impacts EVERY other player in server too? lol yes, there were some grunts at times from peeps on server

One certainly cannot take a screen shot that would capture the moment, yet when my character goes to get the Scroll of Release, the Coroner is working on a corpse. Has anyone else noticed that the corpse seems to be the one talking? Maybe I had one to many of the Ancarian cuvee XX last time before I went questing. I was thinking of starting a thread about humorous or strange events while playing the game, but I didn't know where to post it. I like your pictures because they really tell a story. Thanks Flix for sharing such interesting moments.

Might as well throw in my two cents…

 

There’s a small secret spot on Dryad Island perfect for fishing and scuba diving. Just south of Eloeth-sun. It’s marked by a dry branch on the beach.

 

Be careful when crossing bridges in Ankaria – you might fall though and make the tigers very happy.

I absolutely LOVE this one! Maybe it's just a trick my mind's playing on me but I swear I can see a little cupholder built into his Mobiculum with a tropical island cocktail in it!

More of a flaw in the map design. Found it completely by chance – an enemy dryad spawned underwater, so I went to investigated with propelled levitation…

 

 

Turned out there is a branch out there the game thinks is passable terrain. And there is another branch pointing at it on the beach (see pic above). Just south of Eloeth-sun, before reaching the pyramid. Stand on the edge of the beach where the branch is and try jumping as far as possible into the sea where the branch is pointing.

 

Pause the game at the right moment and you can get some interesting pictures. A good consolation find to the diving bell quest.

 

Horses can leap to it as well.

There is info, they're listed under Horses, because, well they're horses and they function the exact same way, unless you modify the game files. So really not much use in the normal game. I was specifically trying to get pics and videos of the horse Combat Arts, otherwise I probably wouldn't have ever even bothered to buy a horse.

Modding gone in unexpected ways: a Mod gone Bad.!

While wrestling during the free-the-mounts project, at one point something realy weird happened.
Some changes I made resulted in this:

 

of course Myra was thrilled, she dropped it to take a closer look, and started the happy-drops-dance:

and finally promptly proceeded to pick it up again:
