  1. They look pretty good to me, and compared to most item stats pics I've seen on the Wiki they look great. But I take your point. A lot of what's on the uniques pages makes me cringe every time I browse through them: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Dwendorik%27s_Vanquisher http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Seyr%27s_Klinge http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Raging_Ire http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Skullsplitter
  2. I'd be interested to hear the response to this too. Schot briefly set me and Knuckles on a project like this, a few months ago. We cut down several hundred MB of space over a couple days, but we didn't get them all. I actually remember Schot stopping us because he said it might be possible for him to do a batch-convert on all the PNG/large Wiki images, and re-upload them all at once, which would save time. I don't know if that ever came to anything.
  3. Hello! Good to see a past Wiki contributor appear again. I am comparatively new but I've been putting in massive hours on the Wiki since last July. My goal is to basically just do everything I can. This should have been obvious to me. Even as I'm wading through quest text in global.res to add in new set names, and seeing Gogo's posts all through November-December that said "managed to type up a few more quests, ow my hands hurt"...it never even occurred to me that there could be a time/wrist-saving method, even though it was staring me in the face.
  4. I'm making separate threads for some of the bigger, more impressive upcoming sets to give the New Uniques and Legendaries thread some room to breathe. Overall progress on the Community Items Mod will still be reported there. Kha-Beleth is the Demon Sovereign of the realm of Sheogh, from the Might and Magic series of games. Somehow a copy of his infernal armor has mysteriously found its way into Ancaria. Only the Dragon Mage, able to master the magicks from other dimensions, has the magical skill to wear this massive armor and survive its powerful enchantments. In return, he receives an unnatural boost to all his magical and combat abilities regardless of aspect. Concept, models and textures by Dmitrius154. Tweaked slightly by Flix. Item names, bonuses and set design by Flix. Lore, item names and properties and more specifics are complete and will be posted soon, pending approval by Dmitriy. Progress Report: Complete and fully implemented except for icon design.
  5. I feel you man, but that feeling when you've finally crammed everything in there just right, and the air is flowing, and you plug it in and hit that power button, everything lights up and the fan start blowing.... ...Nothing quite like it.
  6. Nope, it's Lorga's Sword. Knuckles packaged in a single weapon in each of the chests of his Standard Armor download, for the Shadow Warrior it was this sword and I thought it was a good look for modeling the set.
  7. That looks great to me, that's the first I've seen of it. Well, the hat and the whip.
  8. This might be intended as more of a heads-up to alert you that the forum software doesn't/can't communicate with certain e-mail providers.
  9. Gantz and Claymore I enjoyed a lot, the anime that is. Never read the books. Though if the Claymore story continues on in a rewarding way, I might have to give it a read. That's part of the reason I ended up reading Berserk, the anime left off right at the W.T.F. moment where everything turned into a nightmare, and never continued. So I had to find out what happened. Gantz was an anime that left so many questions unanswered...for one thing, what the hell were they doing there? I'd be more inclined to read manga if they didn't stretch on and on forever. I like stories with a beginning, middle and end, not just an interminable middle.
  10. If you're going to make a suit you may as well make a classic buff suit. Regen penalty from buffs stacks with diminishing returns so it will never achieve the same levels of reduction. To me using this modifier is a good alternative for those who don't want to keep an entirely different suit of armor around just for casting buffs, especially if buffs may need to be changed or reactivated on the fly. I just use it in normal gear as well as a "buff weapon slot" where I keep a weapon/shield or two weapons socketed with high levels of regen penalty from buffs jewelry. Rancuil's Dark Flame and Unyielding Wall are good choices for a buff weapon slot.
  11. Err, what I meant say was "Explorer hats for everyone". Just look how fancy it looks on everyone: I know. I just wanted to connect the suggestion to what was actually happening.
  12. Will do, also if I haven't PM'd you by the time you read this send me a message and we can talk about putting that Pole you made into the game. Sure, shoot me the DL link. I still have Sacred installed, I play it regularly.
  13. The regen penalty from a buff is fixed at the time the buff is cast. The modifier Regen penalty from buffs -X% applies for when the buff is cast. Same as anything else. Therefore taking the gear off after the buff is cast won't affect an active buff. Buff Suits Guide is on the Wiki. Sometimes guides are only on the Wiki and not the forum, or vice-versa, for whatever reason.
  14. Only non-H manga I read is Berserk. It's a dark world with the tropes completely twisted around where the bad guys are angelic, god-like beings who inspire loyalty and bring peace and have the very power of destiny on their side, and the good guys are rag-tag loners and killers who are all dark and maimed, either psychologically or physically or both. Also, the first big chunk is also such a stark contrast to what comes later. It starts out as a tale of comraderie, loyalty, and eventually love, set in a medieval world that is mostly realistic, with no hint of demons or monsters or anything like that. There's violence but it's grounded in reality, sword duels, and castle sieges, and political intrigue. The feels that come from just reading the "Golden Age" arc are so powerful, and made all the more "golden" by what happens after. When the crap hits the fan, everything is turned upside down, friends turn evil, bonds are broken, and you get a glimpse of a truly nightmare reality that hides behind the "normal" world, where angels are chosen by fate as your tormentors and inner demons can literally manifest themselves. And that's actually one of the good guys on that horse. And yet while with every story arc the world just gets more insane, the fire burning in the hero (and the reader) to see things set right just burns even stronger and brighter, because you can't forget those beautiful days of simple, peaceful moments. MAN I can't wait for him to carry on this story, he takes forever to put out new issues, and it's so compelling. Plus as the story gets more and more insane, the artwork gets trippier too. Sometimes you don't even know what you're looking at:
  15. First post has been massively updated with what's currently in the works. The Community Items Mod is the new future of Flix's Dragon Mage Sets Mod, and this thread will track the development of it. I've reorganized things and added all your ideas about what to implement (except Robocop, sorry I love it but I don't think it's gonna happen). Plus progress on the various sets that are being worked on by me and Pesmontis will be posted here as well.
  16. That's some eloquent expression of thoughts on life in that first post, Gogo. Didn't know you had it in you! (no offense, just we're always talking about Sacred and food I guess lol). Sucks about losing Hoffman. Saw his supposed last photo...looked pretty rough. Despite playing a range of great roles, comedy, drama, he seemed troubled. "If you're a human being walking the earth, you're weird, you're strange, you're psychologically challenged." - PSH
  17. My Battle Mage beat them with Fire Spiral and Fireball. I cast Ghost Meadow+Reiki in a combo (may not be feasible at lower levels), and I also cast Stone Skin and Fire Skin on my self right before the battle. If Fire Spiral regen is low enough, you should be able to just completely fill the room with it and run, run, run around, pelting them with Fireballs when you have decent distance between you and them. I have a modifier on my equipment, that's like life leech, can't recall the exact name, but it works on spells in S1, so all those Fire Spirals doing massive DPS leech out enough life and keep me from dying.
  18. Work has recommenced on getting this set into the game. I'm working with Dmitriy and Pesmontis to implement the Doom Guard armor and other sets and release them as part of the new Community Items Mod (the next release of my Dragon Mage sets mod). Feedback can go here or in the new development thread, where overall progress on the mod will be reported. I want to give a big thanks to Dimitriy for agreeing to share his work in the first place.
  19. Winamp! It really whips the llama's ass! -meahh!- Ah skins, oh the skins! Almost forgot about that aspect. I actually despised iTunes at first for it's sterile look, de-emphasis on visualization, lack of control, and generally everything about it. It was a necessity at first for synching an iPod, and by the time other programs had the ability, I had already invested too much time into iTunes to abandon it. I like Foobar because it's so lightweight. I use it sometimes when I want to completely replace a game's soundtrack with a playlist of my own. I played pretty much all of Dungeon Siege with this awesome playlist of dark acoustic folk songs in Foobar.
  20. Google is taking over the world. Chrome just feels faster too. Loading sites, scrolling down pages, it all just has a better feel. I basically just need to learn how to customize it and tweak it to my liking (if possible). I'm still getting used to the placement of toolbars and things (I had modified Firefox to be more old school, don't know how to do that with Chrome yet). Also, there are security measures like AdBlock and NoScript for Firefox that I don't have on Chrome (not even sure if I need the latter, but ads were a rude awakening - forgot they existed lol). Now that I think about there quite a few extensions I'll need to try to add to Chrome. One is FlashGet, which lets you download flash video embedded in sites. Because I'm on fairly slow DSL internet, I can't really stream anything, so if I want to watch video from the web I have to be able to download it first.
  21. For me, it's XYplorer. It started out as just a way to view thumbnails for some rare video and and image files, but once I realized the sheer amount of control it gives you for file browsing, I completely replaced Windows Explorer with XYplorer. If I had to choose only one program I could not manage without, it's this one, because it's the basic way I interact with my computer. Firefox has been my browser since around 2003 IIRC (I had Mozilla before that). But lately, it seems like any Flash on websites is always freezing up my browser. It may just be an Adobe Flash issue, but it doesn't happen on Google Chrome. So I'm slowly starting to migrate over to Chrome I think.
  22. Winamp was my one true love from 1999-2006. After that, when I got an iPod, I migrated over to iTunes, and never looked back except for one relapse in 2007, when my iPod was stolen. I've done too much work with getting all my songs tagged, organized, and put into playlists to ever go back to Winamp now, I think. I have great memories of using the Milkdrop visualizer around 2005-2006. Man, that was trippy stuff. Some of what that plugin could show you was awe-inspiring.
  23. I had a ladyfriend once who made me a meal with mashed cauliflower in place of mashed taters, since I was strictly following a low glycemic diet at the time. It was a lovely thought but...it left something to be desired. Maybe bacon is what was missing lol. Sweet potatoes are a good alternative too. I remember seeing a surge in sweet potato fries in restaurants at about the same time.
  24. That's news to me. Everything I've read over the years ranked potatos even higher than white bread and even some kinds of sugar when it came to glycemic impact. Skin's the best part anyway.
  25. Yes, very cool application of CA synergy there. SacredWiki SHOULD be pretty complete and accurate as of now with Combat Art properties (no guarantees though). For example, the page for Purifying Chastisement tells us: Modification Notes The Bronze level modifications are seemingly superficial, but they actually have very specific applications. Purge is better used for Inquisitors who wish to use long ranged weapons, slow melee weapons and/or make use of damage over time. Mystic is better for Inquisitors who wish to fight up close and personal, utilizing fast melee attacks. Note that these two modifications do not add fire or magic damage, they multiply existing damage of that type. So if the Inquisitor is not wielding weapons with either of these damage types, they will not take effect. Note also however, that these modifications also apply to spell damage, so for example, the magic damage of Levin Array will be boosted by Mystic. Sucks you were mislead about this in the past. :/
