Popular Post Thorin Oakshield 260
If we start to abuse songtitles, how about these.... At the entrance of the tomb: "Whole lotta skullies" (Whole lotta Rosie, by AC/DC)"Stairway to skull storage." (Stairway to heaven, by Led Zeppelin) For those having a grave and a tomb: "My skull is here..." (in the tomb)"My skull is there..." (Hold your head up, by Argent) "Whoops" (Whoops, by Blues Traveller) "You ask for something for the pain......and you end up like this." wolfie2kX 528
Thorin - Not all of them, but quite a few. Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven) Guns n' Roses (Paradise City) Steeler's Wheel (Stuck in the Middle with You) Creedence Clearwater Revival (Fortunate Son) Johnny Cash (Walk The Line) Beatles (With a Little Help from my Friends) The Eagles (Hotel California) The Who (Magic Bus) Pete Townsend (Rough Boys) Had to look this one up.. Doris Day (Sentimental Journey) 1 Link to comment
Thorin Oakshield 260
With the exception of Rough Boys and Sentimental Journey, you got them right, Wolfie. Although the two I had in mind, might as well be other versions of those songs. The reason you don't know / recognize all is because not all of them were (hit-)singles, but album tracks instead; not all of them from artists who're known world wide and not all of them might be the kind of music you like. So, I'm curious what others may recognize. Thorin Link to comment

wolfie2kX 528
OK.. Fair enough.. As long as we're on a musical binge... Might as well throw in an album by a band called W.A.S.P. called The Headless Children from the late 80's. Track #3 is the title track for that album... Just had a flash of genius. How about a cave with Talking Heads? Or even go a bit Disney - a cave with Singing Skulls 1 Link to comment
Thorin Oakshield 260
Don't you think using "Dance Macabre" from Carnival des Animeaux by Camille Saint Sans might be a better thing to use:) I do remember there was some sort of cartoon-movie about that clasical piece once, where you had the skelletons dancing and using their ribcases of other skellies as xylophone. I thought it was quite amusing at the time. Similar, but not what I meant: (now, If I only knew how to get posting links was working, it would save me a lot of typing. Thorin Oakshield 260
I've just editted - or is it addited? - my post with song-titles to contain all the titles and band- / artistnames I used for those quotes. I got a few more to add; "Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls; welcome to the Twilight Zone" ( Barry Hay's opening of the Golden Earring song "Twilight Zone" while recording the "Naked Truth"-concert at Café "De Kroon.") "For whom the bells tolled? For me!" (For whom the bells toll, by Metallica) (I believe there was a Sacred 2 grave having a similar quote) "Is this the road to hell? (Road to Hell, by Chris Rea) "This is the highway to hell for sure." (Highway to hell, by AC/DC) NOTE: If anyone with strong religious believes is having problems with the last two quotes, let me know by PM and I'll remove them. Thorin 1 Link to comment

Metallica indeed used that line - tho they weren't the first or only one to do so. It's quite a common quote. The origins are commonly attributed to Ernest Hemmingway - even if it's incorrect. The correct source is a guy named John Donne from waaay back in 1624... 1 Link to comment

Thorin Oakshield 260
I don't know which movie it was from, but I remember there was a repeating quote in it, saying: "Don't call me 'babe'." and eventually the woman who was called "babe" all the time, pretty much hurt the guy calling here that. So in that light, the next text for a skull:"Well, she said I shouldn't call her "babe". Thorin 1 Link to comment

Thorin Oakshield 260
Two more I came up with - having a minor burnout apparently works well for my creativeness - one based upon a TV series, one based upon an REM song and two based upon Pink Floyd Songs. - I'm badly going where a lot went before too. - It's the end of the world as I knew it. - Goodbye cruel world. - I'm just another skull in the wall.
