  1. oooh, not bad actually here in Montreal. Just got back from a cool midweek/cocktail let's all feel sorry for gogo cuz he works so hard party Not feeling one chill right now gogo
  2. heheh, I'll be honest... you know when I first started playing Sacred 2...I was scared pantless I kept telling schot over and over again...what are we going to do...what are we going to do...so much lag...so hard! And now...after two months...things seem to be settling, and for that I'm grateful. Chalk it up to comfy with new stuff and finally getting my head wrapped around this insanely huge game. I kept on telling Brad (Schot) that we may have to completely rethink the kamikaze and only do it in softcore.. *listens to gasps of horror* lol, yeah...seriously ^^ However...with a few weeks of this game under my belt...I'm much more comfy with my builds and even sniffing out when the lag monster is about to appear. Yeah it's a learning curve, but this game is so beautiful once you get to know it's bones. I'm hoping that soon the gang will slowly make their way here, and kami's will once again be the incredible Sacred MP event they were in Sacred. gogo
  3. Timo, that's fantastic man! lol, too bad the servers are at their worst low these last couple of days Got any fun toons goin? This is great... slowly our entire clan is coming back out again! gogo
  4. I"m so curious about steam actually. I've heard so many different things about it. May I ask why you choose to use a steam download instead of buying the game box? They're about the same price, correct? gogo
  5. Nice one Spyrus I even think I"ve got a that weapon myself. When I have some time, I'll take a pic of my toon holding it. Unless you're able to take a good one already? I usually use elite grafx with highest resolution. gogo
  6. ahh, poor schot. I sometimes think he's thought of as taffy candy Because we're right now in the middle of Sacred 2's release, our resources are stretched pretty thin. Admining this site, wiki and clan can sometimes be demanding, and with many thousands of people now visiting the sites, and with all the new folk here joining up, the requisite collateral pms that come with it, it sometimes seems like it would be worth it to invest in that extra other self As Schot said, hopefully things will slow down for us, and we'll be able to focus on some of the things for the forum, like a new skin, which would be a lot of fun. Right now of huge importance is the scrabbling we're doing all over the net to track down the extra bandwidth we need to be able to have everyone talk and laugh with each other here on the site. DarkMatters has exploded over the last few months. It's success comes with those lovely growing pains, and we're currently in negotiations with our hoster for more bandwidth at a reasonable price. Having to juggle where images and the community have to go these days is probably one of our newest exciting challenges, and as soon as we're comfortable with our housing for both the sites over the next year we're looking forward to sitting back, relaxing and adding more features to the forum. Until the next game comes out This is very fun for us and we love it. It's a fantastic time we're having here, and with all of the new people here from all over the world posting, reading and enjoying the forum, the game, and all you guys who have supported and returned for this site's peculiar, and, we hope, loving take on planet Earth's gaming... We couldn't think of anything else we'd rather do. gogo
  7. I've been lucky enough to have grandmaster Schot close by to help if things go wrong. But I do understand how complicated patching is for Sacred 2. What we've done is made sure absolutely that the patches we've downloaded are absolutely the correct ones by constantly checking the numbers and then trying them out. The entire patch assembly line now lies secure in a file, called upon to help during any one of emergencies when Sacred 2 should start acting wonky. I"ve actually had to patch up a number of times now, as it seems strange things happen all the time, especially with the .txt file. Timo, is it working okay for you these days? There's a fledgling number of D.a.r.ksters on the servers these days as our clan from all over the world slowly gets it to be able to function on their computers. I know that for me this has been a very frustrating experience. There have been times I've been waiting to throw out the game and comp right out the window. All that keeps me coming back is you guys. Keep trying everyone. gogo
  8. Briliant! Trust, you must be tired of us saying this over and over. The work is incredible, and the sub pages are so complete, you got the pictures too ^^ What I've now done now is split up potions and trophies into their own pages. I've also provided higher index links to the items page so that everyone can drill down faster. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Items The pages can now be accessed right from the items page as well as the alchemy page. Trust, you're awesome... next on the plate...think you could also add your magic touch to ascaron's servers? gogo
  9. Am I reading this right... this is because of lots of new players in the servers? Well.. I guess it's good that new players are arriving...but I wish they'd fix it for us so we can play. gogo
  10. After being excited about making it to level 95 and talking to Zinsho about it on msn, the next battle comes by and the server drops with another five minute attempt to log in resulting in... A level 93 character! The servers are VERY unstable today...you have been warned gogo
  11. It's a great mod, very powerful as long as base damage is decent to balance out the crit multiplier. gogo
  12. Nice writeup, I enjoyed the read. That's an awful lot of damage coming off the HE...and at a nice level as well. Are you happy with the execution speeds of the Combat Arts? gogo
  13. arrrgh.... taking forever this morning.... and it's cold outside don't mind me I'm feeling whiny gogo
  14. I know it's an options available as a click on and off for nvidea....I think I have mine off lately. gogo
  15. This is excellent info Llama. I'll write that into the wiki sometime today. gogo p.s.s. hah, I see you already did

  18. Stéphane, how are you doing this? lol, in one day you've added to many pages to the french wiki... applause for your translation abilities and seeming superpowers to stay awake! I know that brad is working on getting a great guide up for anyone who wants to translate pages and it should be up soon. With that translated into french, I'm sure you'll have a legion of followers who can help with the work. This is am impressive addition to the wiki, and is going to help the thousands of viewers who are using google translator. Good job! gogo
  19. Welcome to Darkmatters, Misery! Csaszar has written some very well-written and powerful builds for Sacred 2. Have a gander through the builds, you'll find excellent work done by him for seraphims, dwarfs, dark elves. Glad you're enjoying the game, enjoy the boards. gogo
  20. Finally! An excellent application. I was able to meet up with you on the servers, and I enjoyed your positive attitude and energy. I know that Schot has always spoken well of you regarding playing. I'm happy to see the app, and we'll forward this internally and have an answer for you within a few days. Cheers! gogo
  21. I've been looking at this lately on my toon. Has anyone gotten one to a hundred percent or more? Does it even go that high, or are there diminishing returns? What's the max. gogo
  22. IRC is cool. A few years go here we used to have a number DarkMatters hosted IRC chat rooms when another community called Spawn joined up with us with a great bunch of peeps from Australia, and they were predominantly a IRC chat room group. They did have a forum, but the IRC for them was their main focus...their forum was deserted and so we all used ours here at DarkMatters as a way of keeping others informed, documenting actions, questions and data. I mostly use msn these days as a way of covering information quickly and addressing urgencies. The last IRC chatroom we had was when Clan D.a.r.k launched a massive attack against a huge turtled planet in Ogame and required more "real time" than regular forum posts allow. I think that for the German Sacred Wiki they were offering an IRC chatroom for a while as well, and it was probably great for energy, morale and quick communications. I'm not sure how much it helped their wiki, however, as English SacredWiki has outdistanced all the other other wikis and sacred fanstites with the amount of content now posted by communities. The posts here offer documentation, validation, and most importantly a history of work achieved, good discovery and provide credibility for the site which in turns draws more contributors. A lot of help from the wiki comes from pms sent to folks on the SIF that would look like they're interested and then showing them a thread where work is being done. I think that an IRC could be useful regarding specific projects especially those where "energy" and "morale" from knowing that someone else is listening to you in real time could be advantageous, however I'm so busy with pms, posts, wiki, and playing that I'm afraid a chatroom would be of little use to me unless it was of some urgency. If someone was to get one going, a trip every now and then could be fun of course ^^ gogo
  23. I'd never have thought this kind of a setup could have been a challenge for the game...then again, sometimes it seems like Sacred 2 forces the most out of computers regarding bugs. sirpennywise, have you posted this at the SIF? Maybe this could help others there as well. gogo
  24. I'm glad you got it going, Claudius. I haven't used Steam yet, ten hours? I'm old school buyer here, love the boxes. gogo
