  1. Hmm, I'm kinda biased when it comes into Sacred 2, pc vs. consoles, since I've only ever played the pc version, so in my books it owns. And well, considering, it has Ice & Blood and CM-patch, which consoles don't and on the latter, I think, would never even get. I'm sure expansion would've happened, if not bankrupt, etc. But that's beside the point. From pics I've seen, pc version beats in the graphical section too. Though, need to admit, that you'd need more resources to run it in full settings. Also, I can't personally delve into controllers, but as "born" pc-gamer mouse and keyb seems to fit into ARPGs better. Again, biased, but I've tried few titles on ps3 and noticed I can't really get into the controller feel. Namely Mass Effect 3, Saint's Row 3, and so on. But that's just my personal input, mind you. Just thought of throwing my two cents into the fray. Scott can surely give more precise inputs. Oh, and considering Steam, it really is quite nifty system nowadays. Too bad there's probably no way to get any Workshop contents into games like Sacred 2, but that section is a big plus in general. Would use that for Skyrim for example, if I wasn't using so many big mods, which simply can't fit into the constraints of Workshops. Tad offtopic, sorry, but just thought of saying that.
  2. Indeed, far, far away... Just finished shoveling heaps of snow. And there should be more coming for the reminder of the week, blech! Gonna reward myself with warm sauna and cold beer.
  3. Welcome aboard, Abmbrosius! Echoing the other membs, do get the CM-patch. All the goodies, and really no hassle getting it to work. Not to mention, should ease up some possible instability issues, if any.
  4. Slight -2oC here, and snowing almost like there's no tomorrow, again... Still, not as much as inCascade Mountain Range, but deffo just enough for my taste. But should not complain after reading Eth's post. Well, here's for the wait for summer, even if it's still a long way aheads.
  5. Ah, the one with most delicious TG-guides returneth! Glad to see you on board too, mate. Also keeping my fingers crossed, that S3 will truely surprise all of us positively.
  6. Well, looking for a nice community, you really hit the right place, I'm sure. DM has been the most friendliest and forthcoming community I've personally found. And there has been quite a few of 'em. (Must be partly 'cause of Gogo's borderline legendary mediator skills. ) So, a warm welcome aboard, Thorin. Hope you'll enjoy your stay. Been immersed into Skyrim too. I'm quite sure it'll be one of the best bang for the bucks- games for me. Has it's own quirks, but then again, so did Oblivion and not to mention Sacreds too.
  7. Aegis: The art in that one is very much to my liking. Reminds me of few mangas I've been reading. And the setup is kinda hilarious too.
  8. Gogo: I'm in! Those are totally for the cold winter nights. Mmmm. Just checked forecast there. Not too envious. Wind's quite chilling, I presume? Quite warmer here, and it should stay that way for the reminder of the weekend. Though, could also go the other way around. >_< chattius: That should be great too. Never been a friend of ciders by whole, but that sounds about nice combination to keep one warm.
  9. Never got to the HC-closed, or any HC at all, but I do tend to back up my saves from C:\Users\Username here\Saved Games\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2. This on Windows 7, but if memory serves, should be same on Vista. Of XP not so sure. So, one can easily back those files up. Which IS warmly recommended in case of HD failure or something similar. And also test those all those skills to heart's content. ^^
  10. Theuns, you lucky dog, you! Around the usual -10'ish here. Little snow here and there, so no poolie for me, at least. Not one of those ice swimmers. Get the shivers to just thinking of jumping in the water. *brrr* chattius: Yep. That's bad combo really. Ice is so darned heavier than plain snow.
  11. Gogs: Flashing and Flaying Glaives of Atherton, I take it? Funny little weaps indeed. And there is a way of getting more of them, via the great CM-patch. Though it's not as surefire as typing a code. Gotta hunt some baddies big time. But then again, it's what this game's about. Loot, loot and more loot. Yarrr!
  12. Little late, but still. Happy birthday, matey. Hope you've had a great one. Eth: Gotta echo you there. It's been quite a while for me too. Not that much as for you, but still. The nostalgy still hits.
  13. Robb: You should deffo experience one of our worst winters. That'd be enough snow for few years. Gogo: Yep, only. I remember few winters back, when there was nearly 2 meters of that white "wonder". We have a flat roof, so we had to lessen the burden just in case. Wouldn't want an open house, now would we? xD I swear, if not for some heavy rain that spring, some leftover might've been on my backyard at Midsummer day.
  14. If memory serves, F7 should do the trick, whereas F5 was portal. Been quite a while I played, so memory's a bit shaky. Though one could always check and change them at the key settings.
  15. Welcome around, from the shadows. I'm sure all of us have been sorta lurkers at some time of life, counting myself in. And great time to activate again, now that DM has risen from the murky waters of cyber sea. Gonna post my personal brigade for reinforce the fort, so that pesky hackers won't get the better of us again. I'm kind of literature person myself, along with gaming craze. Although all's been in hiatus for really long. Have lacked insipration to get anything done.. But I swear, one day... Oh, and don't worry about typos. Looks fine to me. Although, what am I to say, English's not my main either.
  16. Don't know for sure, Gogo... Only place I've used it littl more was when I got everything in order for a neighbour's laptop. That made me quite positive to steer away from it. Doesn't just click the right way for me. I'm sure someone knows, though, if possible at all.
  17. Guess I should be glad that we haven't had any bizarre weathers around here... Last week had couple of darned cold, but nicely sunny days. Some snowfall, again, on weekend and now semi-cloudy and around -10C. Kinda chuckled a little, when I read about British winter problems; around -10 or something and measly 5-10cm snow. True that they are lot more south than Finland, but still. Always reminds me of this True story. Atm, we "only" got something around 30-40cm of snow, luckily.
  18. Okie dokie. I was wondering, what I was missing yesterday, when I tried to change back to Pirate. Glad you got it back up and running as it should again. The default sure is quite an eyesore, IMHO..
  19. I tip my hat to you, chattius. Still don't have any nerve to go HC myself. Not to mention Veteran... Had most fun with a dual-claw Berserker, and still died few times. Nice game tho.
  20. Newest addiction; Skyrim, heavily modded, ofc. :P

  21. Sure, I'll be giving it a go, but not quite from the "start". Got whole lotta games from Steam sales. Mainly Skyrim, so I'm quite sure it'll suck most of my time. Still, glad to see, we're almost there with this one.
  22. I've read around 8(?) books way back then. Can't be quite sure, as it was a translation, and the original books were split to about 2 or 3 pieces a shot. Was a good read then, and I'm quite sure I'll be enjoying it a lot, once I can get it started again. Still waiting for a good monetary situation to get the last 4 books.
  23. Don't really know, who they've been listening to. But tinkering and experimenting, not to mention exploring huuuuge open world is The Main Essence of Sacred games, IMHO. I really hope they'll surprise us all, positively. Otherwise I'll be sticking to Skyrim...
  24. Whee! Been waiting this to happen. Big kudos to Gogo and Schot for making things okay again. ^^ Yarr, me mateys, the rhum's on me! Arrr!
  25. Hmm, I'd be a bit sceptic with that. That's hackuva long time for any lightning equipment. But if that's true, it'd be really handy purchase. Getting all annoyed with normal bulbs which don't even last a year in worst scenario. And moreso as EU has denied the manufacturing the old types, leaving us with only energy saving ones. Sure, they're all nice and all, but still. Wouldn't even dream to put one in sauna... Or even kitched hood. Those are nasty ones, by the way. Once broke a fuse when it went off...
