  1. <this screenname along with #1223 I added most of you so just accept my request
  2. Haha thanks for that gogo. I was wondering why my post was the first in the topic I'm kinda torn between selling or keeping that bow I found. It's the Raven's Claw or something, supposedly Blood Raven's bow. I checked it out on the AH and mine is 100x better than the most expensive one there (or any others listed).
  3. My HC WD found a legendary yesterday. No MF of any sort :/ I did watch a video not too long ago where a guy tested how MF seems to work in D3. In D2 MF increased the chance that better loot would drop, set pieces, legendaries, stuff like that. In D3 MF seems to work by not increasing the chance something will drop, but increasing the ilevel of the items that will drop. If I remember right the guy ran an act (or 3 acts) three times with and without MF (using about 75%). Ah here we go, found it
  4. Check your power and reset switches. Physically unplug them from the mobo and use a screwdriver (don't touch the metal during this) to boot the pc (touch the screwdriver (phillips is easier) to the two leads that the power switch plugs into just for a second and pull it away, just long enough to be the "click" that your original switch makes). Try that and see what happens. Momentary switches can easily go bad, especially when it's a part of a mass produced piece of junk (yeah I'm looking at you Alienware/Dell).
  5. I'm a bit different in how I use the AH. For starters, if an item doesn't have a BO price I don't even look at it. When I'm shopping I put in the stats I'm looking for, then sort by BO, cheapest to highest. Then I scroll through the pages to get past the N/A's. When it comes to selling I'm all about moving items fast. I very rarely sell anything over 5k. Only if it has a very desirable attribute will I raise the price. The only time I sell stuff high is if I'm re-selling a legendary that I've outgrown. Then I usually just try to list it at the price I paid for it.
  6. I started my HC right about the time the patch hit and I was surprised at how much easier it seemed with four people over the sofcore side. It's possible that it's because of the patch. I found I was able to pretty easily solo blue and minion/master groups in a 4 person game, something that wasn't really possible before.
  7. Still finding some bugs though. After leaving General chat I'm unable to re-join it without restarting the game.
  8. Cool beans. I'll probably stick with HC for a while just for some excitement. It kinda needs it since the game is just sorta... blah. My IGN is the same as my forum name here, so feel free to add me.
  9. Watch out for his fireball at the higher difficulties. It'll one shot you easily. I have a 60 monk that is in Inferno, but the cost to gear her up is just insane, so I basically gave up on her for now. This is HC though? I just started a WD in HC just to keep myself interested in the game. Pretty fun so far but I don't quite have the HC mentality down yet.
  10. The guy who did the American Shadow Warrior voice also did the voice of your character in Two Worlds Too bad TW was too terrible for me to enjoy
  11. Hey guys, long time forum troll here but I thought I had to chime in on this topic. If you really want games in the same theme as Sacred 2 you should look for Titan Quest, Dungeon Seige and Hellgate London (you can still play HL with the Revival mod or you can play Hellgate World which is the re-released Japanese version). I have to jump on the bandwagon and say NO to Diablo 3. I've been playing it since launch and I'll tell it to you straight: the game was designed to make money. That's it. 12 years being developed and it's short, has no depth, no sense of achievement, has nothing to keep you wanting to come back for more. It's far inferior to the previous games. Not worth it at all, stay far away. Playing that has done nothing for me except make me want to play Sacred 2 and HL again. Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is simply amazing. It follows the same basic trend as Diablo 2 and does it extremely well. The best thing about the game is the class system. You don't pick one, you pick two and they combine into a new class. The ability for user created worlds is even better. If I had to pick my favorite games of the type they would be TQ and Sacred 2. I never played the original Dungeon Seige but I did play 2 and it was great. It's definitely dated now but very much worth the investment. Hellgate London isn't isometric. It's actually a first or third person game but other than that, it plays just like the other aRPG's such as Diablo and Sacred. Tons and tons of loot, TONS of things to kill, and a good story to go with it. I still really love this game, probably because I'm a huge fan of that post-apocalyptic stuff.
  12. I have to say that so far my somersault seraphim is my fav Area of Effect build. Sure it's not quite as effective as a nova build, but it's infinitely more fun to watch and play. I plan on posting the build when it's finally perfected. For now let's just say that assailing somersault is extremely underrated.
  13. The shadow warrior always reminded me of Torment. Wish I still had that game. Wouldn't mind playin it again.
  14. Also consoles these days rarely just read from the disc. They cone with harddrives now for a reason No u is right in his statement. All console games are tailored for the machines they will be played on. Developers can do this because they know exactly the hardware they'll be coding for, where as for pc's there are an unlimited number of hardware configurations. This is why we get so many setting options to choose from (well most of the time). Exceptions are when you get lazy or overconfident developers who just want to port a game over and be damned with customer satisfaction.
  15. It's possible to have an external SATA drive, but both computers would require the connection. Usually the back panel connector is only found on higher end motherboards. Now I can see this being possible, the only real problem being that the game saves files in several places. The solution would be to keep all those files in a backup folder on said harddrive, then copy/paste them into the correct places on the other computer when you hook up to it. Then just be sure to copy your saves when your finished back onto the external. I can see two problems that could prevent this from working. 1) registry entries. The game might rely on them in some way, making it not run on a machine it's not actually installed on. 2) performance. The game has a funky way of loading things which could severely hamper performance on a dated external drive. Hell, even with my internal sata drives the game has problems reading data fast enough, causing pretty terrible performance (reminds me of how bad Oblivion can be if you don't edit the .ini).
  16. I feel your pain for playing on the retail version. I only just updated myself after playing seraphims for several months on 2.12. I'll give you a heads up, pelting strikes is worthless until you update Be sure to exploit the crap out of bargaining while you can. After the update you can't buy uniques or set items anymore.
  17. If only we could pick 12 skills :/ hehe
  18. @ DM Naga: there were mods for oblivion and morrowind like that, and I believe fallout 3 as well. They added a lot of depth to those games if you could actually stomach using them lol. Using those plus various other "realism" mods really changed the feel of the game. And if you ever got tired of them, just turn the mods off and go on your merry way.
  19. The seraphim is actually a very versatile class that can be played many ways. I recently tried a build that relied on nothing but archangel's wrath and flaring nova for her damage. Silly me at the time didn't know that wrath only gets damage from one weapon, so it completely nullified the dual wield I had taken. Once nova had a decent cooldown and nice half recharge, I basically never had to left click again. Bosses went down super fast with an under 1 second wrath also benefiting from the half recharge I had. Sadly she died at the grand inquisitor in bronze, one shotted because of her total lack of defensive skills. But she flew through the campaign super fast due to her extreme Area of Effect damage. I plan on remaking her, but sword and board style, no warding energy.
  20. Just a quick question. I'm only using this as a debuffer and I was wondering if consuming more runes increased the effectivness of the attack speed reduction, or is just leaving it at 1 sufficient?
  21. I was also disappointed when I saw how the gear in this game worked. It didn't make much sense to me that at level 20 I could be using the exact same gear I would be using at level 200. But I also understand why the game was made this way. It's the build making that keeps me interested in Sacred. I'm a veteran guild wars player, and coming up with all sorts of unconventional builds is what I love doing. If you loved diablo 2 you should really check out Titan quest and it's expansion, immortal throne. Very good games of the same genera that more closely follow the diablo series at it's core. I'm not knocking sacred at all, just throwing it out there. If you want a really different experience that still follows the genera and even has the random map generation of diablo, try hellgate London. There is a mod called the single player revival that adds most of the multiplayer subscription content (the game tanked in the US, it's now only supported in japan after being picked up by a company there) plus other good stuff.
  22. My index rating is 7.1 for my CPU but I don't hold a lot of stock in that compared to real world performance. I've been building and customizing high end pc's for a long time now and I know that most benchmarks are poor substitutes for actual performance. The first generation phenoms weren't really known for being incredibly fast, they were just the first true quads on the market. I probably should have waited for the phenom II series. Oh well lol. Even though mine is overclocked from 2.3ghz to 2.51ghz (which is pushing it for a 9600), it just can't keep up with the rest of my rig.
  23. Thing was that I did back up all the files, including the chest. But when I placed them back all the gear was gone. Luckily I had 3 or 4 seraphim sets in personal storages, along with my several kuan's pride, and the 2 level 38 blood dryad swords I had just bought. Since I just started a rev-tech dual wield seraphim any and all of those are great for her. Even managed to salvage a level 30/45 endijians set for her as well. I've been playing a bit now after installing the 2.43 update and so far all is well. Using the compatibility mode really did the trick. I get some pretty bad stuttering in heavy npc conjested areas, even after moving my page file to my other drive. I'm going to blame that on my slow CPU and less than stellar hdd's. My CPU has really been a bottleneck for me since I updated to win7 and got my 5770. It's the first thing to go when I get my tax return
  24. Compatibility mode worked. 2.43 is working just fine. Thanks for the tip!
  25. Yeah I've done my research so I was aware of certain things that would get changed. I wasn't ready for losing all my shared storage though lol. I'm finding that even though merchants don't have a steady supply of uniques and set items like before, those things drop a lot more often now. I'm also seeing items that didn't exist for me before, I've already found a Niocaste shield with the new Seraphim I started. Too bad she's going to be dual wielding :/ I'll give the compatibility mode a shot. If it doesn't fix the 2.43 problems at least it'll give me time to catch up on my solitare while I reinstall again lol.
