  1. Mini Donuts, Ice Cream, Smelly Animals...(at the free day at the zoo)... Canada Day has come and gone for another year! Happy Birthday Canada!
  2. I have a cold right now... can I help:)! I'm sure I can spare some green stuff!
  3. ...the thread lurches to life again... *shamble of the undead*... I always thought that CB hit twice if you were very accurate in your aim. Or at least, that seemed to be the mechanic for me. When my aim was sloppy I never got a double hit, but when my aim was dead on I always got two. Sort of like bowling for me... if my body does everything right, I KNOW I'm getting a strike just after releasing the ball... before the ball has traversed the lane. Same feeling for me with CB. Before shot lands I know if I'm getting 1 or 2 (or a grazing shot) hits.
  4. For a very long list of grave stones... here's a link to Jonny's post on Clan DA's site. I just wish we had coordinates. Then we could go visit our friend's graves reliably (always make sure to say "hi" when we passed by). Here's one of Schot's: Kami Schot Level 140 Battle Mage. A simple mule farmer who rose to much greater heights, he came to a noble end when he was violently crushed by an Orc Shaman of the Lava Plains. And one of Knuckle's: Voided Level 60 Battle Mage He decided to knuckle down and practice his levitation spells. Unfortunately this was in the Khorad desert while rounding up Orc mobs
  5. Experiments like these are where new recipes are created... and fortunes are made!
  6. Michael Jackson made great music. He was a great dancer. He was rich, and very weird {space alien nose anyone?}. His talent will be with us for a long time, like Elvis. Rest in Peace MJ.
  7. Firefly got shafted when it came out. The bozos at the network didn't realize the show had a story... a story that progressed... so they showed it at odd times, out of order. Made it real hard to watch. Thank goodness for DVD releases! On the DVD we were able to see all the episodes. Josh Wheadon is a genius. I love the show+movie. Nathan Fillion is hilarious--a real joker. The DVD extras are worth the money alone! (I snatched up a copy when the series went for 19.99 {brief time before the movie when HMV was pushing "Season One"s {they didnt' realize there wasn't a season 2 of this one!} You should check out Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel if you liked Firefly.
  8. Ya know, lol, I didn't realize depends came in Gold!
  9. Well. If anyone is feeling generous... my Dryad died... so my new Dryad could use a little love. She's shy or she'd ask for herself... She'll be cruising in bronze. Char name always start with "FrostElfGuard(DA)"... she'll be "FrostElfGuard(DA)Cassandra1", numbers will go up by one after each death. I'm still not used to the balance change between online alone in bronze to 5 player silver. Silver is so much deadlier. So... maybe hold off on donations until she's a little less fragile.
  10. Well gogo... I for one don't care what the armour looks like. It's not about look, it's about function. Kinda like--(prepares for the gogogasp...) food for me. All about the nutrition... then the taste. Ew. Now I can't get the idea of the taste of ... well. Nevermind!
  11. Here in Central Canada they have done all the variations in recent years... bags were free, then they sold re-usable bags, then they gave you a discount if you used re-usable bags...now they just charge if you want bags. The price was 2 cents a bag, now it is 5. The plastic bags have changed to now be lumo-degradible (they break down in sunlight--so you can't re-use and re-use 'em). I have 3 re-usuable bags in the car... which I often forget to take out of the trunk! The time to charge for bags is here. Soon enough the other places that offer free bags will stop too. Yup. We're going to have to pay for garbage bags folks!
  12. Funnily enough, I've been playing Shandalar (Magic the Gathering, Spells of the Ancients, Duels of the Planeswalkers) for the last few weeks. I resurrected it--and had to fight the install to get it to work on XP. Grrrr. Thankfully the net helped me out. I had the official patch manalink1.3 and found the unofficial manalink2.0. Good thing I found that! --I got into magic in Alpha. I still have some cards left (whistles innocently). {Where some if defined to be thousands.} I just ordered a bunch of foil rares from StarCityGames. SCG has 6 articles of interest: Old article on Shandalar, Shandalar White decks, Shandalar Blue decks, Shandalar Green decks, Shandalar Black decks, Shandalar Red decks. These articles (quite lengthy) tell you how to spruce up the enemy to provide more of a challenge, or to fix the theme. Quite interesting! So. After about a decade away, I've got the Magic bug again. Now as to my favourite colour: I like to start the game in White. I love having the defender sword. I like to use Circles of Protection. Card favs: White-Circles of Protection, Green Ward, Sleighted Karma, Rainbow Knights, White Knight, Samite Healer Red-- Fireball and Disintegrate! Goblin Polka (EVERYBODY POLKA!!), Lightning Bolt, Green--Aswan Jaguar, Force of Nature, Whirling Dervish, Llanowar Elves Black-- Royal Assassin, Nettling Imp, Black Knight, Contract from Below (1 mana for 7 cards, 7 cards just for you=7 TURNS in the game-- gi-normous card advantage FTW!!) Juzam Djinn (never got one as ante, find, until this year... in YEARs and YEARs of playing), Dark Ritual, Hypnotic Spectre (3 mana for a card advantage flyer you can get out on turn1! Wow!) Blue--Prodigal Sorcerer, Timetwister, Ancestral Recall, Lord of Atlantis, Vesuvan Doppelganger Colourless--Black Vise (in this format this is THE boss card), Black Lotus, Mox of deck colours, Diamond Valley. Some cards I just love for the art work (Vesuvan!), some for their power (Royal Assasin, Juzam Djinn), some for what they do: Goblin Polka, Aswan Jaguar. Fav decks: White weenie, Red Blast, Black (Contract from Below, Juzam, Dark Ritual, Hippies), Green: L.Elves, Mox Em, Black Lotus, Whirling Dervish, and Force of Nature!, Blue: Prodigal Sorcecers, Wall of Water, Rod of Ruin, Alladin's Ring, Sea Serpent---prevent attacks and hit with direct damage
  13. I'm glad to hear that all that hard work won't just go down the tubes! Hurray for Nightwolfe! Huzzah! Hip Hip Hooray!
  14. Only have heard of one power supply going (Ruth computer actually SMOKED)... mostly we notice the fan is dead first. (24 years of I.T. experience here). Power supplies are fairly cheap... $30, yes? A fan is a lot less. I just replace the entire power supply. We need dat coolin'!
  15. My guess is the >100% refers to the design they abandonned with S1. In S1, %World Discovered was factored into the XP "gain" for characters level 200 to 206. Since you normally couldn't get above a certain percentage (unless you were an uber-goober), that slowed leveling even more in Niobium. In Sacred 2, I expect that leveling reduction to exist for very high level characters... it just won't be as severe since you can explore more of the map. I suspect we have more goobering again. (Goob=Go Out of Bounds).
  16. Marketing 101: People with computers will pay money to make sure they can blow the dust off circuit boards without damaging them by spraying spit on them... Short form: People+Computers=Money. Let's get it! If people are willing to pay for something at price X, it will sell at price X. They can drop the price later if it is too high...
  17. 7 MILLION GOLD! Wow! Thanks so much Put! You definitely helped my fragile flower of a Voodun Dryad! Wow! Converting runes at 1:1 (125,000g) is now within range... before this I only ever converted at 4:1 (500g). You're a prince. Thanks!
  18. Hmmm. Why aren't we Sacred fans buying Ascaron? After all, they work for us. Why not have them work directly for us? If we could cobble money together we could buy them! Just a thought.
  19. Are TG's Deadly Spears the combat art that Underworld (S1) Demons (NPC) used? I remember that with great fear! It was nasty!
  20. The game plays fast and loose with weapons. Some weapons like daggers look like they do ridiculously low damage... but they get to hit more often than the bigger, heavier weapons. When you combine a weapon with a combat art that hits more than one opponent, then you can get a weapon that normally attacks slowly to attack multiple opponents quickly. The thing to do is: try stuff out. Sacred doesn't come with a detailed manual on how the game mechanics work. So, we have to experiment. Cheers and good luck!
  21. Another thing about combos: Combo damage is boosted by Combat Discipline. So. If you put just one CA in a combo, you get a boost in damage... and it takes the same amount of time to regen (according to wiki 10% less until mastery, then 20% less)... so why would you not only use combos? I'm a bit slow... and I prefer to see the graphic for the spells I'm using, so I'm resisting that temptation.
  22. That is amazing! Which CAs are in your combos?--Oh. I can just look. Doh! (u=up, d=down) Hunter Combo: Darting Assault (udu) and Ravaged Impact (uud). Nature Combo: Tangled Vine (ud) and Edaphic Lances (udu). Acute Mind (uud) Ancient Bark (uuu) Goldenglade Touch: (u) @Spryus: The video shows: the staff deals damage 3116-3705 physical ice and fire, with 152-562 damage getting through (crits at the top end I guess), changing to 12,221 to 16,322 damage getting through with Acute Mind active. Wow. The multiplier from the CA combined with the fixed plus from Acute Mind plus the added bonus for using a Staff instead of an axe or a sword.... just Wow!
  23. I'd gladly swap my weather for yours. Here... well. The overnight temp went under freezing again. At least there are no mosquitoes here yet. The flood water has been contained by the floodway (or we'd be under 20 feet at the marker point downtown.). Would be nice to have leaves on the trees... but hey, that's coming in May. (3rd week). On the bright side here: We only need the air conditioners for cooling in the afternoon. At home, we don't need one at all, most days. If it were 100 here I'd be sun tanning, or out riding my bike. Drinking water as my main source of liquid I'm fine in any amount of heat. It's when you like diurretics like Coke, coffee, juice that you run into problems in the heat. Sigh. Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence I suppose. Though, of course, there is no grass in Phoenix!
  24. I also tried to create an online toon last night. With no success. Fortunately, I discovered I had already created the class I wanted sometime in the distant past. SingeElfGuard.FrostElfGuard(DA)ForThePrecious (or some such name--a Shadow Warrior planning on Gollum-ing around with Shadow Veil.).
