  1. I think the quest is called The Spirit of Atheron You can pick it up from a ghost in the cemetary in Griffonbourough the large human city. (northwest portion of the city I believe)
  2. A single point into tactics lore works the same as a point into the appropriate lore/focus for an aspect in terms of awarding mod points. It essensially is the "lore" for melee oriented aspects (C hunter in your case).
  3. Modifiers on set pieces and all other gear improves with level so a level 20 set piece will have lower stats than a level 75 set piece. A level 75 character is very unlikely to wear a level 20 piece of gear. It is tough to say just what the longevity a certain piece of gear will have because it depends on so many factors (number of slots, presence of a rare modifier, etc.) You do not need to go out of your way to invest in your gear if you are leveling quickly because you will outlevel your current gear and find stuff that is more effective and appropriate for your level. One way to invest in your gear is to collect amulets, rings, runes that contain a particular modifier that you want and can be socketed in to gear multiple times as you level up.
  4. I actually prefer this over the group MMO approach. I can do what I need to do without having to have a healer, tank, dps and support buffers/debuffers all in one place and knowing what their role is and how to do it. Plus this means that you get to have more control over the nuances of you character rather than just trying to be the "best" at doing one thing (like heal or tank). Just me I guess. I also don't like to play on other people's schedules. Edit: fixed typo
  5. A true healer build is not really necessary because each class can stand on their own without heal support (all characters can use the abundant potions as well. Tanking is not necessary either if both characters have decent builds. I would recommend creating a character that matches the type of offence that she would enjoy the most be it ranged weapon, spell casting, or melee. Really you can even pick the character by which she would identify with the most in terms of backstory/image. Keep us posted about whether you can get her hooked on this game like the rest of us.
  6. Don't worry we are all confused. You seem to have all of the information that the rest of us have. Maybe we should try to generate as much good karma as we can to get a patch (or expansion) Or maybe we can sacrifice a chicken? Welcome to the long shot waiting game.
  7. Quests in the human lands seem to commonly give me potions of mentor (or I have been on one heck of a lucky streak) Also I seem to find less potions of the mentor in later areas compared to earlier areas in the game (again maybe my own luck) This has seemed to be consistent through a number of characters in a number of difficulties.
  8. Err the Combat Discipline skill does not work as it is displayed on the skill screen. Instead of an absolute bonus to damage it is a percent increase. So when it say +74 damage it is really more like +7.4% damage (rounded to 8% I believe). The next level would be +11% damage and so on. Hope this helps.
  9. I play mostly a melee based character so I have a weapon skill so I don't pay close enough attention to this equipment mod. The highest that I know that I have seen is +12% but I am sure that they go higher than that. I am also not sure if you get diminishing returns on this modifier either.
  10. Due to my own carelessness and overconfidence my TG just recieved his fourth death last night. I just don't have the heart to erase him though. I'm not perfect and he does not have to be perfect either I guess. Hopefully someday I can take a character through Niob without a death, its just that taking risks is so much fun and so addictive.
  11. attack/cast speed can be improved with gear as well I believe so a weapon skill in not necessarily needed.
  12. Yup the town blacksmiths can handle your socketing needs. I only had one crash in about a hundred hours of gameplay before the patch. And only two other since in about 300-400 hours of gameplay. For targeted CAs you have to target them using the analog stick but it is not that bad (although I don't really use many targeted attacks so far) but it does take some getting used to. Targeting is sometimes goofy I admit, and it is funny listening to by brother rant when his glacial spikes targets something farther away than intended but overall you learn to expect and anticipate what enemy is going to be targeted. I spend most of my time on a melee TG and I have not trouble at all picking one mob out of a group to target. One thing that I forgot to mention is that we do not have hardcore mode which isnt that big a deal because you could always delete your character if you want to if you die. I hope you enjoy the game.
  13. I have been playing Sacred 2 since its xbox 360 launch and it is in my opinion the best game on the console. I played many hours before the patch came out and the biggest thing that it fixed was that it added the ability to trade with another player when playing coop on the same console. It also added the marketplace which currently only sells the carrier imp. Some of the bugs and quirks that remain include the following: blacksmithing does not work on consoles at all so don't pick it as a skill there is not an indicator bar for the energy shield that the seraphim or temple guardian can employ one of the mods for the temple guardian combat art jolting touch does not work properly (the one for healing) we lack some of the content that is present in the PC version (easter/christmas content and a couple of minibosses) probably a couple other things that I am forgetting The controls work really well as ported from the PC. I highly recommend Sacred 2 for xbox.
  14. I like Kuan for my melee TG because it works quite well as an oh s*** button when I am mobbed by a massive group that I can't handle or if my shield goes down unexpectedly. It also helps with a certain quest involving a TON of demons on the Seraphim islands. It is also a decent option when on an escort quest because if you know a big group ahead you can get them to fight each other and not your companion. It is also just really fun to watch a large group of enemies fight each other while you watch and bet on the outcome. Woot, my first post here!
