Collab: D.a.r.k Gecko! *cue suspenseful music* With the success of our Snowflake project and the wonderful D.a.r.k Christmas Card that was born from it, Here is a new collaboration for all to share! Just download the lizard and decorate it anyway you like! Png files can be toyed with in Photoshop, Gimp as well as Paint! So have fun with it!! Here are the rules : Make up 2 lizards! Decorate the lizard anyway you like! Go crazy! go detailed! but please stay between the lines. Please keep the size of the lizard as it is, don't enlarge or shrink. Save them as a .jpg file. Lastly just host them and post them here! All pics need to be posted here by Feb 29th I can't wait to see what you all come up with! and for you all to see our finished surprise! Hugs! Schot 407 Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Ok I got my first lil Gecko dude all set. I followed a tutorial from tutorialized.com called Creating realistic water drops. After following the tutorial I mixed and played with the Blending styles some more to create something fun. I saved both a jpg version and a cut out png version just in case. Time to choose a tutorial for my 2nd Gecko now. Link to comment

I was going to try and pace myself so that I wouldn't go crazy waiting for Feb 29th but... I already made my 2nd one 2 days ago, lol. I couldn't resist but managed to restrain myself from posting it at least, haha. Maybe I'll just keep tweaking it and submit it close to the due date. For my second one I've decided to use Gimp to create it. It'll be my very first Gimp creation so I'm pretty well relying heavily on the tutorials found around the net. If anyone has some general basic tips for Gimp I could sure use them. Link to comment

However schot I'll point you over here and here ~Doom EDIT: Ooooh tips, well many things are practically the same as photoshop many are not in gimp things like render clouds work differently, they are more controlled.
