Ah, as always, I really appreciate your input mate, but most of my toons are normal/nightmare difficulty level and in sc mode. So, you obviously have far superior items than myself. I have one toon left alive in hc and just 1 toon in sc hell................hmmm, I better pull my finger out, hehe ! The EU sc gold auction house has been down a lotthis week.

The monsters on normal Whimsyshire are equal to level Act III & IV normal. It's fun but you can die here so remember to stop laughing and kill a few things. And unfortunately, it's one of the things that Blizzard has nerfed. I think its actually equal to the next difficulty. I got some pages of jewelcrafting/blacksmithing to drop in there in normal which are nightmare drops. That's what I have read. Thus :- if you collect the items and make 'the item' in normal, then you will face nm level mobs, and so on. So, what on earth will it be like when you collect/make an inferno item ? Try impossible ?! *Still trying not to give too much away*

Hi there. I found a Black Rock ledger page very early on, and have kept it in my stash ever since. I thought it might go with some other items that I had found, but after some research found that I was wrong. The other items were for a certain secret area, and the ledger page was completely seperate. After reading through quite a lot of stuff, it is still a mystery to everyone outside of Blizz. What is known :- there are eight pages in total ( that is the theory) and they spell out a tv programme. What is not known :- what you are supposed to actually do with the pages. Folk have tried all sorts, included throwing them into the sand storms that occur in the desert. So far, from what I have read, the eight pages are no more than stash fillers, unless, there is some wonderful event that will occur once the code is cracked ?! As I said, only Blizz knows.............. I've still only found the one page, but will certainly keep an eye out for the full set, and then try a few things to see if anything happens. Steve.

*Yikes* Shhhhh, I don't want to get banned ! The AH sales have slowed down so much, I've reduced my prices to just 500 gold for a lot of items ! These are mostly normal level items though, not top stuff. NM and above I sell for 1 or 2 thousand. Legendary around 20K. On the flip side, I mostly pay around 5K, with the most ever 80K for a very nice amulet with 15% MF & GF.

Just did this in NM with a level 35 toon. Got 12K xp for the quest...............no idea about the xp for all the mobs, I'm afraid ! (It wasn't exactly 12K, but close enough)

AH has been out of action a lot recently, which is a pita. Messed up my trick of last minute bidding, as I have missed out on several items. *sigh* If they are having a problem with gold sellers, then punish them and let the rest of us do our legit trading please !

Hi there. *First off, please don't post any spoilers in this thread. Maybe everyone has already done this area, but incase I'm not the last, let those who haven't had the pleasure do so in thier own way.* I'm not going to say much. I just wanted to say what a great laugh I had going through this area. No-one can say that Blizz don't have a sense of humour ! Got to be one of the wackiest ever, IMHO. Have you visited ? Have you enjoyed ? I've done it twice, both times at normal level. I had quite a few rares drop, but nothing special, but it was still a blast. I'll try it out at each difficulty level, now I know what's involved. Steve.

Hi. We can only level up to 60 in D3 so, in my mind, it is obvious that there will be an add-on/expansion at some time in the future. In the add-on we will be able to level up to 99, along with new area's, monster's and shiny new items. (Of course, I might be wrong........) Anyway, the point I wanted to make is that I think Blizz have boobed. IMHO, they should have let us have difficulty level's only going up to Hell in the first D3, and then introduced Inferno in the add-on. We would all have been excited at this new challenge, don't you think ? What's your opinion's ? Steve.

Thanks for tips Masteff. I just wish we had a filter for 'time left'. As I've said else where, I often make bids for items that have nearly run out of time and have managed to get some real bargains that way. Only thing is that it takes time to scan though all the listings.

Gratz on getting to hell in hc mode. No mean feat at all. If that's scary though, you'll need a change of underwear for inferno !

Yer not wrong Schot mate, hell really is hell. My monk sailed through nm and killed Diablo with ease. I took him into hell and got a right old beating ! There is a huge leap in difficulty between nm and hell. I needed to upgrade all my monks gear but didn't have the gold, so started another toon to raise some funds. But, I've been enjoying my wizz so much, that my monk has been moth-balled ! I will eventually go back to my monk and have another crack at hell, but I want to see how far I can push my wizz first............and I have forgotten about my DH too. Oh my, she'll think I don't care and go off in a sulk...........yikes ! Steve.

Many thanks for replies. I have re-run a couple of bosses a number of times and you are right, they drop 2 rares on first encounter and then just blues..............which is dissapointing, tbh. Steve.

I lost a level 18 barb and a level 14 monk to the same thing.............my own stupidity ! My barb spotted a treasure mob and chased him into a very nasty bunch of mobs.........and paid the ultimate price. So, I loaded my monk, and promptly did exactly the same thing ! How dumb can you get ? Started a new hc monk, and will try to ignore any treasure mobs. Steve.

Hi. I have seen mention that folk do 'boss runs'. I've never seen any detail to what this is. I'm guessing that players restart quests a re-do bosses that have already been beaten ? For the first time, I changed the quest in the D3 menu. Not sure I did the right thing, but I now have to re-do nearly the whole of act 2 ! Can some-one kindly put into a bit of detail what a pro 'boss runner' will do, so that a simpleton like me can understand please ? I have quite a few toons that I have been running through the game, with my best being a level 52 monk in hell. Meanwhile, I have been building up the MF% and GF for my wizz so that he now has 127% MF & 116% GF. I would love to really test him on some regular boss's and see just how good the 'finders' are and what might drop. Unlike D2 the bosses are there only once, so that's why I need to change quests but there must be an easy way, so any help would be fantastic. Cheers, Steve.

I've just bought my Wizz a MF suit of 110%. Within less than 5 minutes play I had a legendary and 4 rares drop ! As my wizz is sc, I can take the risk of not having other stats to keep the MF% going and see what else I can find.

My tip is more for those buying than selling :- I search for the item I want. Then I look for time left and bid for stuff that has only minutes left and very low bid prices on them.Then I put in as low a bid as I can and watch incase some-one else starts bidding. I always set a max price in my head and won't go above that. So far I've not been beaten too many times. This way, I may not get the best item, but a 'good enough to get by' item. I haven't broken the bank for the perfect item that we all dream of, but I can get by for the next couple of lvls and come back and see what's on offer. Steve.

Two things I've noticed and I'm sure it's been since the patches :- A). Legendaries have become much more scarce. Very soon after starting I had found around 7 legendaries. Last couple or three weeks I haven't seen a single one drop. This is partly because I'd dropped a lot of my MF% kit, but over the last couple of weeks I've built a MF toon and found nothing of note. Maybe this is just bad luck rather than something in the patch, but seems like a coincidence ? B). My toons had whizzed through the lvls with no xp stats on equipment at all, but of late that has slowed a hell of a lot. I don't think it is just my imagination. Still loving the game though. Steve.

Thanks Gogo. I get confused easily ! Not only does my main monk run with a templar, but he also summons up a magical helper ( can't remember the proper name) and they run around causing havoc. No control over them at all !

Sheesh, sounds tough. I remember trying this sort of challenge in some old games like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil............but without much success ! Good luck with that Masteff. I'm guessing yer going for it in normal difficulty ! Steve.

Hi. I'm hoping that some-one will know this :- do you get xp for your follower's kills ? I've tried to work it out, but in the heat of battle I 'm all over the place ! The reason I'm asking, is that sometimes, after you've spent ages battling away with some ultra tough boss, and then the follower get's the killing blow in.........do you still get the xp ?! If not, then I'd be tempted to do without a follower, tbh. Thanks for any help. Steve.

Ooooh, I've not found that place yet. Best keep my eye's peeled ! Sounds like hard work to do that Knuckles. Be nice, but do you really want to make that effort when you could just be playing ?
