Velveting I have heard of Velveting meat with Corn Flour, a thickening agent. In a few of ken Hom's books he uses this method but I am pretty sure it is corn flour and not baking powder he uses. Gives you a lovely silky feel to the meat and helps thicken up sauces. Are these two different methods or for different outcomes? hehe maybe I should just finish my coffee before trying to think.

Well, it’s been a great ride and I have enjoyed getting to know all of you here. I have shared some great times and learnt a hell of a lot but as with all things there comes a time to move on. This for me is that time. The board has grown as has it membership and the direction in which it is growing. I’ll still be around from time to time posting and catching up but I am now handing in my admin badge. I wish you all well and thanks for all I have experienced and learnt here. I honestly can't remember what the Invites policy was. I know when I first hooked up I had none, then two, then 7 then the last 2 over the New year. I have none left at all now but I do see people asking whilst in game for invites for mates and also on the Official forum. I have no idea how many end up with them but I would think it's worth a shot. IIRC it wasn't too long after hooking up that I got the first 2. I had this game installed for ages and played for a very very short time then didn't hook up again with it till November/December or maybe earlier. I can't remember lol

eek Helgi, get well soon, food poisoning can be very nasty so get plenty of rest! Atm there are a lot of people playing Sacred especially on a Sunday for the Kami and also a bunch of us playing Mythos. It's a great free little game in it's open beta stages. Well open by you need an invite to play it but I am sure if you posted up for an invite here on the board someone might have a spare one knocking around. Sadly I don't have any left atm but fingers crossed of you were interested. Anyways Helgi welcome back and hoping you get over that food poisoning really fast!

I'd love to see pics of your pit bulls they are lovely dogs as you say when they aren't made to fight, makes me so mad to think about people who fight em :4rofl:Total you want to tell my insect, spider, creepy crawly creature obsessed 8 yr old they are boring? hehe he is fascinated by anything that makes most people shudder. Great pictures Ari, a pet deer awesome!...I had a pet calf which turned out to be a bullock and yeah guess what happened to him lol I loved it in Ireland I used to adopt all the animals on the farm and would be found leading them around with bailer twine for hours....poor things. I have no idea if there are any pics knocking around anywhere of those days but I can ask.. It would be cool if others can come along and share this trip down memory lane and post up their 'days goneby' pics. has a hunt....and yeah feel free to giggle! I wonder why my big sis wanted to feed me to the lion cub! and below...me and my cousins with me at a safe biting distance a few years later....odd but I did spend time much later in life with the circus! but thats another story! haha I can't help but giggle at my cousins Beans hair (no it's not his real name...looks like he should have auditioned for Oliver)

Good ideas there Erling. For me the only draw back with running any game in open is that there are issues with the Error # 35 therefore sometimes making it impossible to create a private server on open. For me I love Open as much as closed and started off playing there. I still do go to open from time to time. As with all games and in RL some people are ok and some are not. I think it is just a matter of choice or getting round the error #35 in my case Can't say I have met or had any bad times of note in either Closed or Open that are worth mentioning. Just my thoughts on the open V's Closed thing.

ahh crap Ari that is really bad there really are some utter merchant bankers in this world who don't deserve air space On a side note funnily enough I was just talking about stuff with a friend and my ex whilst I was pregnant with my first kid had a major fall in Holland (60 feet) due to some negligent idiot he worked for, lets just say a month in ITU in Holland and a huuuge heap of legal bills, nobody won but you end up a bit wiser...sad world we live in at times....I say 'at times' though

Ahh Coopsy that really sucks big time, amounts to extortion in my book Once you are unbanned you could make a huge pain in the ass out of yourself by contacting Game Forgery everyday demanding the original amount back.
