  1. Is something missing from that recipe? putting it all together into a pan? Doesn't there need to be dough if its a Carrot and Almond Loaf?

  3. Now that recipe I have to try it looks so interesting and different can't wait to do it
  4. So far I have only used my pizza stone in my oven. It is propane since we have no natural gas down here in the islands. So far it has tasted GREAT. the only difference when I do get it on the BBQ will be I can add the smoky flavor, and using woodchips the apple or mesquite or hickory wood chips to add even more flavor BondBug I do shall we say have way to much BBQ equipment, well "they" say that I don't *lol*

  6. No you were right. That's the next way I am heading. I want to perfect the pizza going from dough up. Then I want to cook it on the BBQ with recipes for pizza on the BBQ I have seen. Tonight I BBQ'd Oh surprise *lol* I made kabobs - green pepper, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, onion. The meat marinating for one day. And after everything was done I took it into the kitchen to " rest" and cooked up some shrimp. Surf & Turf on a BBQ yummy
  7. No problems we have vegetarians here too but I think everyone gets something out of the threads you can always adapt a menu if you see something you like basically to your own needs. The first time I used a Peeler it was a disastrous mess I forgot the corn meal to keep the dough from sticking. I still have a long way to go to catch up to Ike in the Pizza department
  8. Actually there is a thread for Pizza New York Pizza that is running my comments and others kind of went back and forth between the two and I actually commented it should be in the Pizza thread. That being said when I started an idea of the pizza it was reffering to cooking a pizza on a BBQ -Best of both worlds And as for being old I probably have you beat
  9. I too miss a few of my older friends in ogame that are no longer "active" Blade, Ike ( and his sheep) and Gogo who wiped out a player and allowed me to take over his account when he gave up ogame after that.

  11. Wow BondBug when you come back into a forum your really come back don't you? I made beer a few times but it never lasted too long to find out if the finished product was great or not *lol* I also made a Dandelion wine which was I guess sort of a Mead It really came out great but way too much work. Easier to go to the store and buy it

  13. Well to be honest I am having trouble with the dough. So far my best attempts have been using store bought crusts ( gasp ) But I love using a pizza stone and a peeler. "BBQ-ing" in the summer? Well its always summer here so I BBQ on the front porch running inside having a cold beer and watching out thru the window HEY that doesnt make me less of a "cook" than standing out side next too it *lol*. "A small point about using the BBQ. Is there not a theory that it is bad to let fat from whatever is on the grill drip onto the heat and smoke onto the food?" Actually that and the smoke and flavor from either the charcoal or wood or a combination of both is what gives the meat the flavor. If you didn't have the "fat" turn into smoke you might as well cook in a gas or electric stove inside
  14. On the topic of left overs I cook enough during my 5 days off that when I have to work the two days my wife has enough left overs to heat up so I don't have to have her cook

    The comments are not from me there all result from googling the term Poutine. The few times I strayed across the border into Quebec but never tried them. However I may show up at Gogo's doorstep and try them

  20. Well tried something different today more up to my wife's liking but I love to cook and love to experiment in cooking so thought I'd give this a shot. It's pretty much a southern dish as it uses grits. Grits is a coarse ground cornmeal. So here is the recipe, and the pictures. And the results The wife LOVED it, took it to work to share with her friends Sauteed shrimp with grits: Grits; 1-1/2 cups chicken broth 1-1/2 cups milk 3/4 cup grits 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheeze Sauteed Shrimp: 1 cup diced bacon 1 lb shrimp 1-1/2 cup green pepper ( diced , sliced or what ever) 1/2 cup red pepper ( I didn't have any but it would have made the dish look more colorful) 1/2 cup diced or slivered onion you can add hot pepper sauce now if you like it hotter Cheddar cheese for garnish Bring broth and milk to boil add the rest of the "grits" ingredients cook for 5 minutes Fry up everything in the "Sauteed Shrimp" list Bottom layer Grits, put the rest over the top garnish with cheese and enjoy Grits on the left shrimp on the right ]

  25. o.k. give this noob an explanation of what you mean by windowed mode? are you talking about playing on-line using a browser or playing a game off a cd?
