Yes, thanks, I currently have only one DW and I dont take her seriously - it's a test character, may be it will be support seraphim(she has both EP and bargain), but I am thinking about DW Inquisitor and it's a hard character for playing, so I must be quite familiar with game mechanic before creating him. Didn't know about staff, used blaster with pelting strikes and was very disappointed that I can't DW blasters - I liked this rapid fire thing About fire and ice I agree - my 2hander SW always having exactly 2 sword - one with ice crystal and one with fire opal. I did the same for Seraphim, but what has confused me - on Silver(43 level) - I can flip ice and fire swords and see no difference, even more - now I am running with magic sword and shield(simply cause it looking cool - smoking demon) and no seemingly difference in damage, no matter what mobs are resistant to(only the speed is slower but it's because my sword mastery << dual wield). And this in combination with your information - leads me to the thought that DW is useless(of course, inquisitor and TG have no alternative), CAs are depending only on one weapon, while shield gives additional protection. Anyways, thanks for the info - I will probably delete my DW seraphim and create a shield maiden, instead, if the story goes this way...doh.

It sounds very clear for me, non-native speaker I did not know that secondary effects are "global" as you said.Sadly I am unable to test your assumptions, since I need for this weapon with pure damage of type A(preferrebly without bonuses) and some boss who is immune or close to be immune to the damage type A, then I can flip this weapon with another which has damage types B and C asnd see the difference while using combat arts, alas, I have no such setup. You said "I've tested it ", may I hope that you have been doing tests similar to what I have just described? Since, if you are right, I should not care about damage and damage type in left hand, it must have neat bonuses and many damage types for different secondary effects intead. Planning to create some serious dual wielder in the future, so it would be nice to know such things

And, yes, I read your message in other topic, but I dont want talking off-topic there No, it's not so obvious, as you have learned already that the information on the screen is not 100% informative and correct, try using in combat and you will notice that secondary damage type effects are applied alongside with other off-hand weapon bonuses. Say put in the main hand a pure physical weapon, and in the left hand a fire-based weapon, spam CA only and you will notice how enemies are burning, same if there is a lifeleech bonus in the left hand weapon. I sadly can't confirm situation with damage since CA has very high innate damage(

I think the situation is a bit more complicated, off-hand weapon damage type is applied for sure, and, mayhaps, I am wrong, but it seems like some %% of damage too, but not 100% for sure...it would be nice if someone who is modding and knowing game from the inside has cleared the situation(I did not find the answer at the wiki site)
  5. No, it's not 50-50. I have tried killing champions by spamming single combat art, there is a very noticeable and significat difference : if you put in right hand the weapon of your level and in left hand a 1st level gray weapon, then flip weapons - at 30 level it's 3 hits to kill champ vs 7-8 hits.
  6. Thanks for the replies. I am never playing in HC, but I am often deleting charactes who died. Since with community patch it's now possible to ride in dungeons, my dryad will never be on foot

Well, ok, thanks, though, even this "a small amount of health" seems like a life saver, and for me it happens not "infrequent " but rather constantly during boss fights(never happend during normal fights even when HP was extremely low as of yet), I am still interested about hardcore - it should be like an additional line of defense...
  8. Class mount - exactly dryad's monitor lizard, I ve always ignored mounts, just have decided to create a horse archer build and noticed this thing. And it did not that her "HP drop below 0", but the damage was very heavy and HP was at very low level, so it was logical for my character to be dead, but instead it is mount who died, that's why I am asking about that...
  9. At first I thought it was just a glitch, but now I am almost sure in that! So the question is : if my character's hitpoits are dropped below 0 while she/he is riding the mount is it the mount who is dying instead of his owner? And if it is so, is it also valid for the hardcore mode? It seems like a cheat for me...
  10. Sorry, if I am writting in the wrong thread : there was a small discussion about physx and then that thread was closed. I have played for a long time( 1 character fully completed silver at 50 level and one is 25 level on the half-way), once the game was runnig 6 or more hours non-stop and, well, I should say no single freeze or crashing( while before the patch 1.60 my game tended to constantly freeze up) and this is all while I am using original(not from the patch) version of physxExt.zip with leaves and such...Soo, may be it would be prudent to create a check box or something for such leaves-lovers like me(hey, my current character is a horse-archer dryad, how she could possibly faring without leaves?), while I suspect that for radeon video card owners new physxExt.zip is a much better choice, for sure.

I think I better wait with TQ for now, let 'em patch this new mastery and such...ok, maybe just a little peering at new expansion location Oh and I beg your pardon, I forgot to argument my statement^^ For the spamming demonic blow is better suited when modded for Area of Effect and life leech, sweep is more supporting skill than self-sufficient wonder. And the frenzy CA is looking quite good as a single spammer boss killer in that case(modded for double strike and crits) Good luck in your battles)
  12. Sorry, sorry, I am not insisting or something, really... I have just tried to share my experience in a poor way, obviously... It was like: 1) I found out that Sacred 2 is actually a very good game and I need to play it anew( I ve played it before expansion and there was no expert touch) 2) I have found wiki and read all about my future character( there is a section in wiki called "Characters" - easy to find and navigate) and I have planned my character carefully 3)In game menu I saw this "Expert Touch" and thought "what the heck?!" 4) I google and found something like the description in "wiki" : "Expert Touch is an alternate game mode introduced in Ice and Blood that affects Combat Art Regeneration. If activated, combat arts regenerate faster but draw their energy from all aspects. This mode is especially useful for characters who focus on a single aspect. Characters creating Combos using combat arts from all aspects may also find this mode useful. With this mode disabled, the classic Fallen Angel style regneration is used, where each aspect has its own independent regeneration timer. Expert Touch is enabled by default" 5) Ok, I will use 3 different aspects and wont rely heavily on combos... so I am disabling this "Touch"... 6)Playing for a long time, wondering how bad my regen time is. Created a new char with enabled "Touch". 7)"Holy Hannah&#33;:)!!!#@#@", rage quitting, deleting a character with disabled "Touch". 8)That's it. PS: As I said before, it would be great to add in wiki exact numbers showing difference between two modes. And, IMHO, it would be good to warn new players of not fooling around with this option. In most cases it's better be enabled...

I just wanted to drop a small advice from newbie, since experts are silent like in the tomb)), if you are planning to spend a lot time with this game, you will probably need to have a decent blacksmith. You don't need a farmer like me, since you have downloaded chests, but blacksmith is yet a good deal for you) So, I, for myself, created a shadowarrior and keeping blacksmith skill at his level, and I recommend the same for you, after playing some time you will discover for yourself what is good for SW and what is not and you will create a new perfect one SW, BUT your blacksmith will still remains useful, no matter how bad as a combat character he is, all you need is actually to carry him up to platinum, but in the process you will learn this character very well, I suppose) Good luck on the fields of Sacred, I have rediscovered this game recently for myself( I ve played it on the release and decided at some point that it doesnot worth my time and prefer titan quest, but now, with community patch, I have changed my mind)

Well, I mean that this information is buried somewhere in the depths...and being newbie I did not find it and created a character with disabled experted touch, who was lately deleted in a rage cause combining different combat arts is not a reason for disabling expert touch Maybe, some sort of a page like "quick start", from which player can be redirected to the specific character pages and where such basic basic things as expert touch and survival bonus are explained?! Sadly, I am a poor web designer myself About additional info.... - it would be good to know the exact difference in regeneration time between two modes, I presume it is about three times?! The last thing, I really see no reason to disable expert touch in cases like Jacek's one. He can spam demonic blow/sweep much more efficiently with expert touch, while occasional frenzy will reset cooldowns during its animation, and if he will spam demonic blow with Area of Effect mod on crowds and spam frenzy on bosses (which, IMHO, is more effective), once again expert touch is better enabled. In other words, I see no reason to disable Expert Touch, unless the character is very cleverly thought, so using combat arts in the rapid succession without putting it in combos gives a real gain. But, this is my noobish opinion, nothing more - on the other side it would be great if this newbie struggle and pain of fire and ass, err ice, will be covered in some section at wiki God, forgive my slobbernglish, I hope my doofies are readable at all

I think there should be a topic or a chapter in wiki about expert touch since it confusing all newbies I got in this trap too) Well, now, I think Expert Touch should be disabled only by EXPERTS It's kinda of a cheat brought by expansion , so don't play without it or you will be sorry) About modding - it fully depends on your wishes, so if you really wanna any help here, I suggest that you better explain your plans and how you see your warrior in the future(late game). For example, I ve modded my sweep purely for fun)

A Christmas presesent, no doubt!(though I will pity when my shadow warrior killed his own horse and was unable to ride anymore) I am glad that I ignored this game during release and have re-discovered it only recently! Your team are making it so polished, I wish you best of luck!

Using the opportunity I would like to thank you, Flix, for this mod I am currently use only 2 mods : Community Patch and Reduced fog, this is a perfect thing for such lazyasses as me, who want to play and have no desire to meddling with graphic editor, your mod is perfectly balanced between clear vision and gray sky, good job!
  19. Strange, I made my tests in Griffinborough and found that value of 2000 is not enough to see the highest towers, I currently set it to 3000...
  20. Thanks, but, sadly, it's crashing broads for me : I have only started to play this game and I've already a memory of about 7 freezes in Thylysium and 2 in Artamark's Gate port. Good news, with these trimmed textures(blessed be it's creator) I am able to play comfortably without those constant pesky stutterings and not intended to turn elite textures off from now on! I've created for testing purposed a new shadow warrior character and played for about 6 hours so far. No crashes at all. Surely, he has not reached Thylysium as of yet - well a gim future for the gim warrior, I guess) Anyways, glad to make your acquaintance! As I see, this game requires some tweaking, and I hope to find help here in the future, cheers!
