How often would/could it release a unique... very two or three chests? Are such wonders possible? goog haah, goog I often thought about that... I remember peeps saying the chests on seraphim island have chances to drop Legendaries? Or was that false/mis-information? Not that anyone claimed to get one from a chest, just that the programming hinted it was possible. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,071
I know that Schot has done a tremendous amount of research on like lines here and produced a level one toon /download that he calls the luckiest man alive build: Luckiest Man Alive How would something like this be specced up in Higher levels though, and what would we have to look at. Is there a class best suited for this, would it be using a set, and if not set, what kinds of socketings etc... Scott, there is information around I think on the chests in the game that have the best chances of releasing super drops... somewhere on Seraphim Island I think too ... but are there others? gogo Link to comment
Munera 1
The first thing that comes to my mind is a mega veiled SW with a gear full of mf rings. The problem will be to level him up^^ As far as I'm concerned, chest's amount of drops deppends on the people in the server. A team of 5 of those builds would be overwhelming... I haven't got that much experience though, but I've heard is it possible to get legendaries from chests as well. It will be a really nice experiment for sure Link to comment
r00ster 1
I actually have a seraphim built to exactly this purpose.... It's level 75, EP right at mastery (just got it there). Drops from 'chest' runs are definitely noticeable. Unique items are frequent, even at this level. Gear MF is around 80%, EP 55%~ish, and master bonus 285%~ish. I will document it, once I am back on this toon in the rotation. Cheers, Link to comment

Woody 24
Same as Munera for me, EP-veiled SW seems to be the best to run chest without killing anything after level 75. Link to comment
Barristan 14
Heya, seraphim isle chests (suppose you are talking about the ones in the cave) require your build to be either: -High Elf -Dryad -one I am missing at this point? You need to teleport behind a locked gate (quest) These two I know can do just that... Greetz Link to comment
Etherian 76
I'm on board with veiled SW. Level like normal up to 75. Boost into Niob. Xfer over all portals, boat launch & hot air balloons. After level 75. No more killing. No need. With EP at mastery. Socket all the +X% CTF we can muster. Obviously use gear inwhich will offer the most sockets possible. Would be a fun test at least! I remain, Link to comment
Woody 24
So, finally, here is the secret char I was working on since some days. My Truffle-Pig SW with 762.9% Total MF. Holonix Agilys - level 75 - Download Link to comment
Munera 1
Can't download it ^^ Btw how is he? 762.9% has to be insane Link to comment
Woody 24
Strange thing the file can't be downloaded... let's wait a bit. Link to comment
Stormwing 40
Just give it other try Munera. Megaupload does that sometimes. Just refreshing after a couple of minutes might do the trick. (Did for me) Woody: Looks good. Gotta say, after checking that out, makes some of my own builds look really disarranged and stuff. In a positive way. Link to comment

Holonix Agilys - level 75 - Download I must be doing something wrong, Woody. I downloaded it and opened first in Gold, then in Niob and only see 392% chance to find valuables. Where do I look for the other 360%? Link to comment

Woody 24
Total bonus mean gear bonus (392) + EP white bonus (60) + EP green bonus (300). Link to comment

Xeneonic 0
Ah ha How come you chose seraphim r00? gogo I might be wrong both guessing R00's reason for that and whether or not it's true. If I remember correctly, the Seraphim has the most "non-jewelry" equipment slots of all characters, which means potentially more slots on gear compared to other characters and then more MF/+all skills to socket those with. Like I said, not sure of this, especially since I'm new to Ice and Blood. Link to comment

dreeft 9
It could just be me, but what's the fun in running around opening chests? Are there substantial drop rate for chests? Why stop at 75 (diminishing returns after mastery)? Other than the seraphim caves, what are areas with a high density of chests? Link to comment

Why stop at 75 (diminishing returns after mastery)? Other than the seraphim caves, what are areas with a high density of chests? For long-term duration it would get rather boring. I agree with you Dreeft. I would use this char. as a go between. Not a primary. Stop at 75 just to get the EP mastery obviously. At level 75 if we found Niob gear. We could then use Niob found gear all the way down into Gold. This is just my logic. Other then the Seraphim Island. I can think of [2] other places which we all know can drop amazing. Grunwald Cave has [2] chests. Which I have gotten very rare uniques. Sometimes they drop better loot then the Dragon after slaying the poor beast. The secret room found in the Cursed Forest Labryinth. r00 was the first to turn me onto this hidden destination. He said it was no joke. My friend I am telling you, this place can drop Legendaries. r00 found an Enricho's a couple nights ago infact. Which really isnt what I am after these days. Not that they are not welcome. I am really after the ultra-rare uniques. Such as Kal'Dur's. Also, who can resist the Kiras Protector? When time permits, I will build a level 75 VSW. Socket as much CTF as possible and see what drops. Who knows, he may turn out to be very profitable? I remain, Etherian Link to comment
r00ster 1
It could just be me, but what's the fun in running around opening chests? Well, it depends how you look at it. With this character (the EP seraphim) I don't just 'run around opening chests' I play it normally like any other char, just with a focus on MF. So that means, boss killing, mapping, etc etc, with this as icing on top. Like my 'bosskiller' to me, does not just 'run bosses' As you say, such repetitive behavior gets quite stale. I play it too, like 'normal' grinding, mapping, etc, just focus on bosses. I never just run guardians, reset, guardians, reset. I would go insane. I run every boss in a server, some other things, etc etc. P.S. And yes, the seraphim was 'chosen' because its the class I play Cheers, Link to comment

If the chests in Sacred2 regularly dropped uniques or sets or even legendary's? You bet I'd be smashing every chest and hiding spot I could find! Link to comment

If the chests in Sacred2 regularly dropped uniques or sets or even legendary's? You bet I'd be smashing every chest and hiding spot I could find! I will be completely honest with you; They do. I get a unique from the constructs running from the village baloon, to the labyrinth about 90% of the time now, and in the hidden room, at least 1 unique or set item per run. With more players coming to loot the room with me, it often goes to 2+ uniques per run, etc. There are also more chests of note, where high end uniques seem to appear. One is in the ancestors quest, hard to explain where, but I get unique armors from it. Etherian will attest to the last point, I got his SW a unique belt there, with him right beside me.
