Indy13 5 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Well I didn't take a photo of it but I'll just post a pic from the net instead. Here it is, a 500GB HDD:
Timotheus 436 Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Nice got a lot of stuff to put on it? I got a 500 GB hdd in my pc, it's not even half full.
OuttaTown 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Wow...what can someone put in a 500 GB hard drive!
gogoblender 3,637 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Wow...what can someone put in a 500 GB hard drive! lol, more than this: more than this...which is my 40 gig hard drive! gogo
Timotheus 436 Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) My gfx card with it's brand new cooler: Gigabyte Cyclops! I immediately installed it when I got it today, my temps dropped 10 in idle/25 when stressed (celsius)! And it didn't cost anything near a zalman cooler. I paid 25 euros for it, shipping included. The cheapest zalman was that price. Without. Edited July 3, 2008 by Timotheus
Timotheus 436 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 (edited) Another day, another purchase: 2 cd's, a dvd and a 2,5" portable hdd (I kind of broken my old one *sigh*) Edited July 3, 2008 by Timotheus
gogoblender 3,637 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 lol, they look great Timo! And, you give Claire a run for the money when it comes to merchandising! And my latest goodie was a gift which you can check out here: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5907 gogo
Timotheus 436 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 (edited) Nice gift! The CD's are cool, the black one has less mainstream house on it, a real house-y feeling when you play it. The Heavenly House album contains more "music chart" material, with artists like Erick E, Fedde Le Grand, Junior Jack, Mylo, Cassius and Eric Prydz. Also nice listening music. Def. worth the 30 euro's I spent on them! Edited October 3, 2007 by Timotheus
Timotheus 436 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Ah sooo cool! *drools* I'm still thinking about getting one, my sis may pay half of it, she really likes the concept
gogoblender 3,637 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Undone, that''s gorgeous! Or...is it just the pic? jk How bout those controller...you got the hang of em yet? gogo
th3undon3on3 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 The remote is actually really easy to control. I'm an ace at the tennis We have two remotes just now, but only one nunchuk because they're impossible to find. Hopefully one will turn up soon though.
Timotheus 436 Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 (edited) Packet came in today Logitech Cordless Click! Plus, normally costs about €50, offered on iBood.com for only €12,50! Edited July 3, 2008 by Timotheus
gogoblender 3,637 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 what the heck is that...a mouse? lol, just realized it is...for a sec, because of the angle of the pic, I thought it was some sort of old schoo star trek communicator gogo p.s. I'm a fan of the logitech mousies...quality stuff.
Timotheus 436 Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Me too. Had a MX 400, but I hated the wire (got stuck a lot) but wireless with chargers are quite expensive. Thank god for one-day-online-offers! xD
Timotheus 436 Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 (edited) Nexus PCI-300 Mesh PCI brackets Audio Bullys - Ego War 2x SilverStone FN83 1x Zalman adapter 1x Sharkoon thumbscrews zilver And now the new gear is bolted into my PC! After a lot of work, because the screws from the fans didn't work out with my CPU cooler, so I had to find others. Same prob with the fan I placed in my side panel, as the fan was 4mm too wide to fit in the holes already in it. Now my PC is finally as quiet as I wanted it to be! Edited July 3, 2008 by Timotheus
erialc 3 Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 @ Undone...I bought our Wii from Morrisons supermarket of all places and the assorted extra controllers and nunchucks. You are in the UK I think so maybe pop by a Morrisons Store
Ankhanu 1 Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 This is a topic where you can put your newly purchased goodies up for display! I'll kick off with a second hand amplifier I bought an hour ago. Show us the goodies! That actually an analogue amp? Damn, they're getting hard to find.
Timotheus 436 Posted November 4, 2007 Author Posted November 4, 2007 Could be, I'm not that of a know-it-all in anything and especially not in audio. But this was a cheap one. Need to clean it though, the volume control crackles a bit between 2 and 5, so I guess I'll buy a toothbrush or smt to clean the pot meter... Check second hand ones. I bought this nice little sweetness for €35.
Ankhanu 1 Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Probably analogue then (rather than digital); make sure you use a proper potentiometer cleaner and don't use something like WD-40; as it will eat away at the metal.
Timotheus 436 Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) I used a contact cleaner I found in the garage... It worked, no crackling anymore when turning the volume up or down. Weird thing that remains is that it makes an odd noise (almost windows-error-like) when I turn it on for the first time after it's been off a while. What can that be? After turning it off and trying again, the noise is gone. Edited November 7, 2007 by Timotheus
Ankhanu 1 Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Probably a capacitor charging or discharging with the circuit.
Timotheus 436 Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 Hmm OK... Well the cleaning only worked shortly... The pot meter went crackling again... *sigh*
