Your Deeds Shall be Forever Remembered

Recommended Posts

Here we shall mourn the fallen heroes ;)

Here we shall drink in their health :4rofl: (huh? :) )

Here we'll also provide support for reincarnation attempts, and plan our rewengee :P:)

I present Jedi_Sera, an innocent Seraphim that was brutally murdered by some undead half an hour ago. Her owner should have been more careful when he left her all alone in the wilderness... Rewengee upon the undead and the owner are currently under development, any ideas greatly appreciated...

Some pics from the final moments of her second life:

Hey..that's me there fighting with you! Was great joining up with you, Prom and Xenenous. And Antitrust, that little dungeon you showed me was sharp and very atmospheric. Except for the few times I got stuck, it was good ole Sacred.

And even this part that happened to my dryad as I kept playing after you left:

Ahhh, Sacred

News had spread to the seraphim island. One of the creator's direct descendants, slain by one of the undead.

A seraphim had been selected, with the sole purpose of finding, and destroying this undead creature, to make sure he could no longer befoul this glorious, pure race.

After a few days of travelling across the world, and using the scent her Tiger picked up, the undead was located, and destroyed from point-blanc range. Only after it got a few seconds, to realise just how bad it messed up.

RIP: Jedi seraphim

One of the villagers nearby offered us new information. Aparently, after Jedi seraphim had died, a Dryad gave the ultimate prize in trying to take revenge on the undead. The creature, obviously on some sort of T-energy enhancer, was unfortunately still capable of destroying a hunter of the ancient forests.

The location of this brave ranger has been sought out, and flowers, made of pure T-energy, have been placed on her grave.

Awh, RIP you two. Though looks like prom has taken care of the rewengee. :) Great opener for our own darkmatters Cemetary of fallen heroes. I hope to avoid my inscription here for as long as possible!

Arp, the pyro high elf walked into some cellar to get some wine and was only able too see darkness... not even a fireball would light the darkness, but it sounded like masses of vermin were defending the precious wine, after a short time her brave imp noticed her death and ran for his life, to never be seen again.

RIP: Arp

(I hate it when the game thinks that I need a perfect opportunity for a screenshot by stopping al movement on my monitor, while the rest of the game continues...)

I've managed to loose a veritable legion (>10) of Shadow Warriors (all with the same build - Nether Allegiance, Skellie Fortification & some melee CAs) to an unspecified monster (ie, a bug) that is doing ~400-500 damage against my level 2-8 chars...

Not a happy chappie (and to add insult to injury, everyone's been really nice & given me cash & runes & stuff & then I go & loose it all by getting killed!).

Playing in the Silver servers with higher level chars (though I'm only in the starting HE area, all char spawns are my level (ie, not level 30) & normally do ~5-10 damage, & yet my char get's hit for ~400-500 damage at some point.

I've felt that bug before myself, in SP tho.

But it's one nasty bug we got there

argh.... an early morning hit yesterday took out my level fifteener...two rats with high spawns each took a chunk out of my knees...

poor dryad had no chance

But...

Got off work early yesterday and played from 4.00 pm till 12.00 with assorted members of the gang from here... Zinsho is on the servers folks!

And...my wee wilddle dryad has finally hit level 21... hopefully she'll be around to stick!

p.s. Scary bugs: A human that has no attacks or Combat Arts working against him...he just nibbles away at you ever so slowly until you die of f12...

and a stretch of road near Thylyssium that I have to walk around since I can't walk through it.

That's a quest NPC (an Elf) that's gone pear-shaped.

and a stretch of road near Thylyssium that I have to walk around since I can't walk through it.

Where is that? I can check it for no-go bugs (though I'm not aware of any off the top of my head). Main map/mini map pics would probably be useful.

I also have this road bug, but this is not the reason why I post.

My High Elf got in a 3 seconds lag and got her *** kicked by some damn thieves (damn you lag and damn you thieves).

This character was really fun to play with, even if she was only level 12.

Poor gogo bit the dust again :)

We were playing together in a bit high level game (monsters were about 6-7 levels higher than him). At some point I started to lag a little, my game became a bit choppy. One kobold champion got past me and murdered the dryad...

:P;):P

It seems that monsters AI often targets weakest players/escorts. We should stay away from playing at big level differences (though 6 levels theoretically shouldn't be a big issue), or be extra careful if we don't.

My precious first char (inquisitor) called Ali Baba bit the dust yesterday in the SP campaign after I switched weapons. Guess what, staves suck for fighting :P

I'm playing him hardcore so I will start over ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

And again...nooooooooooooo!

This time for sore and stupid reasons. I put in about 20-24 hours into the game this weekend, and almost made the run to level 50... alas...I was so tired last night at 11.30 pm. Chatting it up with Schot (yeah it's his fault :)) and jumped into the jungle. Amazing experience, but seriously tough mobs with champions that just don't like to die. The only element against them is ice, and it's effect is only to slow, not a D.O.T unlike Poison against the Orcs which does a fantastic job of killing a bunch off quickly.

Alas...so tired I was, I got into the game with NO BUFFS.

:)

She's dead Jim

Putresceine, and the rest of the gang, so sorry :( So many of you had helped out with runes and all, and I hope you don't think I don't appreciate that. I'm going to do a bit of work on SacredWiki, and back to the servers I go!

Cool thing is, each build I've made has been different from the last re: skill point allocation, and after seeing stuff flesh out in higher levels, I've gotten a much better understanding of drops and the kinds of stuff I have to look forward to. Sets are REALLY good...the amount of regen they afford to a toon's build cannot be discounted. It's the way to read all those buff runes, and armed with this knowledge and the fact that when sleep comes it comes hard, I'm hoping to get the next one to level 100.

Cheers, and thanks to all the [D.a.r.k] guys and mates on the servers!

@ gogo....no more runes for you.............. j/k

And for those getting one-shot by normal enemies. There's a bug especially in the High Elf lands. What happens is certain enemies spawn at the level of the first person in server. So if he/she is high level and you're much lower be careful where the Holdup quest is (north of Thylysium) And also an area SW of Sloeford (go west across bridge then south and follow river bank), you'll come across a camp and the thieves/brigands there sometimes spawn at level 40

That's a scary bug, Knuckles...noted.

Prom this was the saddest loss. Her Resistance was at more than 1500 and my hp was at 2500+. An awesome tank that I was using to play with Putrescine with against enemies ten levels higher than me to keep up with his toon that was five levels higher than mine. Scary when we started, but he's very right about Bark...can't live without it...as I found out
