X Files Sequel

I have a confession to make: I’m a hopeless X-files junkie. It was probably the first series I started to watch regularly, and I’m willing to ignore all of its cheesiness and logical absurdity. And put aside my general indifference toward conspiracy theories.

 

 

If anyone have missed it – is that possible? – the X-files is back on the big screen. The sequel – not titled yet – is supposed to hit theatres on 25 July 2008.

 

 

Hardly anything has been revealed, but according to Chris Carter it’s not going to be a mythology movie, primarily to make it more accessible to new fans, but it does take some ideas from the original sequel Carter wanted to do to the previous film.

What else? A trailer!! and a leaked one at that. That’s right, we have a bootleg trailer recorded with a handheld camera. It’s been out for weeks, and there still no decent quality official trailer to be found. Wonder if it’s a new marketing strategy

Yaayyyy I'm SOOOO looking forward to the movie!!

When I was young, I've always watched the Xfiles with my mom, maybe I'll drag her to the movies with me

But that date.. I'm not at home when it hits the theaters! I need to wait at least a week to go see it!

 

EDIT- ehh I really need to wait at least a week, it will not air before the 7th of August here lol

ROFL I meant when I was 12 or something like that, Xfiles was not on TV that much here.

Me and my mom have similar taste in tvshows, that's why we watch them toghether

I remember the first year of the show...creeeeeeeeeeepy...but loved every creepy minute of it.

I know the first half of X-file by heart, oh yes I do. Although I'm sure that's not a skill I can list on my resume

 

However, X-file movie... dunno about that. Will watch it for sure, though gut feeling tells me it would be awful. I do hope I'm wrong about that.

The return of a legend. Cool! Really enjoyed Xfiles the few times I took to enjoy it. I'm kinda with myles on it though. Not sure if movie-fying it is going to go over very well... Guess we'll see though.

It was kinda dissapointing, like, not bad but not as good as the first movie.

The acting was OK, action scenes were OK (though there weren't that many) but the story lacked some "oomph".

The first one really had the style of the series, this one didn't. Not a lotta mystery here, no aliens, not mutating life forms...
