  1. Sniff, my old dryad weaponmaster and spidergirl guides seems to have died at one of the forum changes? But even the guide died, you can read the thread how the character developed. The main difference between a spidergirl and a dualwield dryad is the shield. Ravaged Impact does a flipkick animation if fighting unarmed - it are two hits with the feet. Dual Wielding it would be two hits with the weapons. For the spidergirl the obvious gold mod for RI was blast to hit EVERY enemy close to you TWICE. Here is a link to the thread. Shame that the weaponmaster guide seem to have vanished and I have no personal copy

  2. Firstly...good seeing you back balgarathmth! Remembered you from your nic and it's fantasy reference to one of my favorite series...and also that genius insight you had into the music of this game years and years ago... I think it was from from one of the instruments in the game or something? I'm sorry that the patch seems to be messing up your controls, but and so happy to see the community here trying there best to help... this is this best community around And hoping that somewhere down the line it sorts out. And mostly just wanted to say how cool I thought it was that you play christmas island every December... that's so heartwarming... now I feel like doing that too...what a cool self-christmas present treat gogo

  3. Thanks for the warm welcome! Yea, the totem dryad was fun. I played her without viperish disease and just took it slow with the totems. It was really surprising how much the right heads affected the totems' damage, and little Scorpy was a monster!

  5. Oh, your mouse still uses Setpoint, that's why you can't create profiles. Newer Logitech mouses use a different software centre, called Logitech Gaming Software, which enables you to create gaming profiles that lets you combine its buttons with keystrokes. What happens is that you have the standard keys assigned on the game and then you map it on the LGS for the mouse buttons. Setpoint doesn't allow for this, sorry if I misunderstood.

  6. Thanks for the tip, but I don't think we have the same mouse. I'm using a marble Trackman, grey four-button design. The marble is in the center, and there are only two customizable buttons. (Two is all I need.) The mouse can be configured to be used either left or right handed. My SetPoint driver software does not have any "game profile" features, so I'm not even sure what you mean by that. I appreciate everyone who's tried to help. The only other game where this issue ever came up before was on GoG Neverwinter Nights, and I never could solve it there, either. I might be able to fix it if I could uninstall the game and then also completely clear the registry of the associated Sacred 2 files, but I don't know how to do that. Trying to search for the information just brings up a lot of third party utilities I don't want and that probably wouldn't help anyway. And at this point, even if I could revert to the unmodded Steam version with my clear registry that was working just fine with the mouse without the patch, I'm not sure I want to, because I really like those lightsabers, and I'd miss being able to go to Christmas Island every December.

  7. Thanks for a tip. It means more points invested in Dragon Magic Focus than I have intended (Familiar seems to be a good choice of a buff anyway) but if a next attempt to play Dragon Mage fails, I will try this. S. Edit: I have started a new game with the Dragon Mage at a good PC. Up to now he is level 10, max Mentalism Focus. high Lore, Concentration (1 point) and Bargaining (2 or 3 points). The setup with two buffs works well, Familiar helps to fight with a staff (he uses a 1h staff + a shield) and increases damage output. At low levels the Berserk was great, but now I use my favourite way of levelling low level characters: the Via Koboldica from Western Tyr Lysia Portal to the kobolt cave under the Kobold Camp and it is not enough now, especially in the cave under Gahanka site I needed to use some health potions. Energy Blaze works well, but no miracles yet. Perhaps I should eat a few more runes for the Berserk.
